Honestly you hear horror stories about wedding planning and day of stories, it makes you nervous at first. I have to say the absolutely amazing hawks cay staff, Betsy, and our wedding planner Alex at destination wedding made our wedding something out of book. Our guests can’t stop talking about the whole experience of the wedding at the venue. The beautiful atmosphere hawks cay provides and amazing customer service sets the tone for a great time. The food at the reception was so good (pro tip get the penne delicious). My wife and I had the most amazing night celebrating the start of our new family at hawks cay and honestly recommend hawks cay to anyone in any capacity you find most important in a wedding hawks cay has it and will make your wedding perfect.

This venue was beautiful! When I booked, I had the option to choose a ceremony at the Courtyard Marriott and then a reception at the Faro Blanco. I don’t believe they do the packaging anymore so I’m unsure how it will be price wise from here on out, however, I can say that the view is absolutely stunning. The private beach is such a great ceremony site. Very intimate, gives a beachy but elegant vibe, and easily accessible for guest. My 93y/o grandfather was able to get around via wheelchair (and someone pushing him) very easily. They were super accommodating to the elderly. I loved the long aisle walk to the arc for an extra moment with my father. The reception site was a short little walk away from the ceremony site but was also beautiful. I wish it were just a little more private, as it’s right outside the Faro Blanco Restaurant and very openly visible to the public. They did, however, a great job of separating the event from the restaurant and making it feel very secluded. The food was good. The skirt steak, the veggies and the rice were amazing. The chicken was a little dry but that’s chicken at a buffet. Chef Hamilton was absolutely amazing and extremely accommodating with all requests. If you’re looking at this venue I’d mostly recommend reaching out to Kristy Harvey from Best Day Ever Wedding Planning to assist with your special day. I believe everything ran beautifully and smoothly in large parts to her efforts.

This venue was amazing! The beach area is beautiful and Dawn and Chad were both very helpful through the whole wedding planning process. We initially had planned everything outside but it was so windy; the resort was very flexible with getting us in this indoor/outdoor area for our reception. We had a smaller intimate destination wedding and it was more than I could’ve dreamed for. Also, the food was amazing all my guests mentioned that to me!

We wanted our wedding at Banana Bay Marina & Resort and the universe agreed. The fairytale dream of a child was born again and gave us the ambition to create new dreams ahead. The staff catered to our every need no matter their job title. It was a place to invite friends and family to be forced to relax on hammocks, pedal bikes, hit pickleballs in blow up costumes, toss cornhole bean bags and enough room to do a pre wedding jitter yoga. Banana Bay also gave the bridal party a room to all get ready together, thank you! Not only did we tie the knot, but we forced our guests to get a little rest and relaxation. The space was big enough for all ages to take advantage of...to laugh, to love, to dance, sing, eat, drink and be merry. Banana Bay is a very special place and we were thrilled to share our secret hideaway from reality. The Florida Keys mentality combined with a capture the flag family reunion. Thank you! The only hard part was getting someone on the phone prior to the wedding. Thankfully our wedding planner was able to communicate in person which put our minds at ease. It is hard to get a human on the phone these days. But a five star review regardless since the actual event was above and beyond. Thank you to all the staff that made our special day sublime with so many fond memories. So many texts and emails coming in saying, "BEST WEDDING EVER" much gratitude!
