Unbelievable day with everything a beach bride would want and dream. Bill and I couldn't be happier. It was absolutely perfect . La Siesta gave us the the laid back keys beach vibe we were searching for and then some. The colors of the cottages along with the marina and ocean couldn’t of been any prettier. My guests had the best time and enjoyed everything the resort has to offer!

Prior to my wedding, I had never been to the Florida Keys. I booked the venue after doing some google searches and review reading, and just crossed my fingers that it'd be half as nice as it looked online. La Siesta did not disappoint, and in fact, far surpassed my expectations! Not only did it provide the perfect backdrop to our ceremony and reception (people say our pictures look like postcards!), but it was also a great place for all of our family and friends to get together before and after the wedding. Between casual get togethers at the 5-bedroom house (where my parents and siblings stayed for the long weekend), hanging out at the awesome pool in the middle of the resort, or going out on the (free) kayaks and paddle boards, we just could not have had a better time.

Alan and Grace were amazing in helping me get everything in place and checking in with me the day before to pin down details. The hotel staff was also incredibly accommodating and attentive, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They're in the process of renovating the resort, so I'm sure the place will be even nicer the next time we visit).

We had the ceremony and cocktail hour on the beach and the reception on the lawn of the executive house. With decoration help from Caribbean Catering and Blue Water Weddings (and using Floral Fantasy), it looked AMAZING. And with a steel drummer from Events My Way for the cocktail hour and DJ John Terry (from Kiss Me Entertainment) for the reception, it was the best party I've ever been to. I really had very little time to put towards planning, but all of these vendors were able to figure out exactly what I wanted with minimal input!

This place is a hidden gem. We had our ceremony and reception on 9-19-15 at La Siesta and it was beyond a dream come true. We wanted a relax wedding where people could roam around and enjoy the beauty of the Florida Keys. La Siesta provided this and more. Our ceremony was in the yard of the house and the reception was in the beach area. We have 175 guest who fit comfortably.

The guest accomodations were clean but rooms can use updating. Property is in the middle of being remodeled and should be done by end of the year.

I would pick La Siesta 100 times over it was PERFECT.

Our wedding ceremony and reception held on the beach/marina grounds was magical - along with a full moon and a great ocean breeze it was perfect!

We are so happy that we chose La Siesta as our venue. We wanted to get married where all of our guests would be together and enjoy. Our ceremony and reception were both in the yard behind the 5 bedroom executive house. I was worried that it would be a tight fit for 100 guests but it was perfect! I loved walking outside the morning of our wedding and seeing everyone enjoying the pool, kayaks, and paddle boards. Our wedding turned out to be everything that we dreamed of! We are still getting comments from our guests about how great it was and what a great location.

I would have my wedding here again in a heartbeat! The venue was beautiful and everything I could have ever dreamed of. This vendor was great when it came to wedding details and booking my event last minute but was an absolute nightmare when it came to room blocks. Myself, my sisters and my mom were all pulling our hair out. Just remember when working with them "they are on island time"! Certain people were more flexible than others and we never knew who the "right person" to talk to was. The wedding coordinator kept using my sisters # as mine EVEN on the day of the wedding! It was so sweet to send positive & encouraging text messages, I just wish they had been going to me instead of her. Also, they hooked us up with a DREAM wedding night suite at their sister hotel, Amara Cay. The cottages were so cute, the rooms were all beautiful, and the house on the property was to die for (perfect for getting ready!). Other hotel guests were watching the wedding from the close by dock (we were in the house yard) so it was a little bit distracting to my groom but they did clear away the jet skis before the wedding started so I am thankful for that. Another positive was that they let us bring in our own vendors but I don't think this will be the case moving forward. There was room for improvement but at the end of the day, I could not have had a better venue for my special day.

La Siesta Resort is a quaint venue nestled in key largo. It was a beautiful venue and my wedding was very nice. However beware that with this venue, you get nothing for free. My one an only complaint is not having a free room for the bride and groom. Most venues in the keys provided a free night for the bride and groom and this venue would absolutely not grant us this. They gave a a reduction on a room for a night prior to the wedding, but i felt that after guaranteeing 44+ rooms for a weekend and almost taking over the entire resort, a free room should have been granted. Poor judgement on their side, however the venue is very pretty.
