Nikki Glekas Events is a phenomenal caterer and event planner – hands down the best in the tri-state area. Nikki, Charlotte, and their team flawlessly planned and executed our 100+ person wedding in Connecticut and transformed our backyard and home into a beautiful, professional venue. During the planning process, our coordinators maintained transparent communication with us and were extremely responsive to our ongoing questions, concerns, and changes. They helped organize with our other vendors (DJ, photographer, etc.), and provided meaningful advice and guidelines every step of the way – from selecting our menu to choosing venue décor and even providing advice as to how to word our invitations. On the day of our wedding, those same coordinators ensured that the event proceeded smoothly, monitoring the timeline, flow, and jumping in where needed. For example: when we arrived home from the ceremony, we were immediately met by Nikki’s staff who had specifically prepared appetizers and drinks for the wedding party to enjoy (and to replenish!) before making our big introduction to the rest of the wedding guests. Many of our guests raved about the food being among the best they have had at a wedding. This is by far where Nikki Glekas Events stands head and shoulders above other event planners / caterers – her food is simply excellent. To successfully plate 100+ meals outside in Connecticut during October, to keep them HOT, and to maintain quality is no small feat. Nikki’s team executed this with ease. We were so thrilled with the process and outcome for our wedding that we hired Nikki’s team for our baby shower – which once again was an absolute home run. To Nikki, Charlotte, and the entire staff at NGE, thank you so very much for your tireless work and your impeccable attention to detail. We look forward to working with you again for our future celebrations.

We had our wedding ceremony, cocktail and reception all at Stamford Marriott Hotel. The Pavilion room during the ceremony is a little small for 160+ guests, but they made it worked! The reception hall was great! high ceiling, beautiful glass chandeliers and big dance floor. We love the fact that after a long day and night of party, we could just go up to our room and rest, same goes to our distance families and friends who stay over at the hotel. It is also close to shopping mall, restaurants and bars in Stamford, some of our family were able to extend their party hours on their own. Diego, who's in charge of our wedding was wonderful, responsive and took care of every details we need. The entire hotel staff, including the front desk, the bell service, the gentleman at the front door, the servers, and bar staff were absolutely wonderful! Thank you!

We had our wedding The Loading Dock in May 2017. Our wedding was a dream come true and we could not have been happier with our venue choice. While at first we found ourselves intimidated by the “blank canvas” that the space presents, the team at the venue was incredibly accommodating, not only to us and our families, but to our vendors, many of whom they recommended. The space allows for almost anything in terms of décor and we ended up having a “secret garden” theme with string lights and greenery. Our wedding was completely unique and unlike any other wedding we had attended in the past. The food options were awesome and not only looked beautiful but tasted amazing. We were told by so many of our guests how the food was the best they had ever had at a wedding. Finally, the team was so attentive, whether it was allowing us to drop decorations off early, to making sure we always had a drink or a special platter of the food - they exceeded our expectations!

The Stamford Museum & Nature Center was a magical backdrop for our October 2019 wedding. If you are looking for a venue that is beautiful on its own and needs only basic decor to create a unique, history-rich, romantic atmosphere, the Bendel Mansion is just the place. The elegance of the space mixed with the fun of the surrounding farm makes it the perfect eclectic venue. We were even able to have our cocktail hour in the art gallery so guests could check out the featured photography. I really liked that the rental fee benefits an art/nature community organization. I can't say enough about Jeanette, our event coordinator. Throughout the entire process, she maintained a positive, "we can do it" attitude that put us at ease, she was available when we had (many) questions and needed to drop by, she recommended a list of great vendors, notably our caterer Revel with Dinner Thyme, who were absolutely stellar. The space is intimate, and she helped me with a floor plan that seated 135 guests comfortably. On the day of the wedding, Jeanette and her team were flexible and went above and beyond to make sure the day ran smooth. Amidst all the stress of wedding planning, knowing Jeanette had our backs and truly cared about our day made everything so much more enjoyable. Thank you SMNC-- you will always have a special place in our hearts!
