Whitby Castle

My husband and I toured a few venues, but it was end-game the moment we drove up to Whitby Castle. As soon as we opened their grand front doors for the first time, we were greeted with genuineness and warmth of the Whitby family. We knew we found a home with them for our wedding.

Some key players who ensured our wedding was a fairytale:

Niki is the catering sales rep, who we communicated with throughout the process and up until our wedding. We loved how responsive she was and always so kind (even if it was just through email). She answered all of our questions promptly and was never pushy.

Ralph is the operations manager who we worked with a few weeks before our wedding. He is detailed and efficient- logistically, he made sure the timeline and ceremony details were perfect.

On the actual day of our wedding, Gabriel was our Maitre’D and Roxy was my bridal attendant. They were both simply godsend. Gabriel has a calm and natural demeanor; and Roxy is a bada** woman (I mean it in a good way)- when they saw how one of my vendors was making me incredibly anxious and flustered with their blatant unprofessionalism, they would step in and provide (and act on) reassurance that we didn’t have to do anything that I didn’t want to do. They consistently made sure to check in and made sure we were okay. I don’t know what I would have done with Gabriel and Roxy.

And finally, the entire staff. My guests still share with me how kind the staff was throughout the wedding and how they were treated like family. Also, the FOOD! My guests consistently raved how the food was just incredible and far exceeded any expectations.

We had our South Asian wedding at Whitby Castle on July 4.

From the beginning, Niki made us feel welcome and confident in our decision. She was responsive, understanding, and flexible throughout the booking process that we truly appreciated. We originally chose Whitby Castle because having an outdoor ceremony on the grounds was part of our dream.

As we got closer to the wedding, Ralph became our main point of contact and he was our Maitre'D. He was incredibly communicative, practical, and reassuring. He helped us work through the last-minute changes and was always focused on finding a solution.

Unfortunately, due to an intense heatwave, we made the difficult decision to move the ceremony indoors at the last minute. I was nervous that the indoor ceremony would not have the same feeling, but the space felt elegant, intimate, and beautiful, and our photographs still captured everything we loved.
There were naturally a few hiccups throughout the day as well, but the venue including Ralph and Rosa (bridal attendant) remained accommodating and worked well with every one of our vendors to keep things moving.

They took care of us that day in moments where no one else was paying attention, and we are eternally thankful to them for that. Whitby Castle is a stunning venue, but also one with a team that genuinely tries to support its couples.

We are very grateful to Niki, Ralph, Rosa, and the entire Whitby Castle team for helping bring our wedding together.

The food was delicious, and the flow between the ceremony and reception spaces felt natural and beautifully orchestrated. The entire team was incredibly accommodating—happily allowing us early access to set up personal touches and handling every request with a smile.

Both Ralph and Niki are true gems and made our experience unforgettable.

If you’re looking for a stunning, well-run wedding venue with a team that genuinely cares, I cannot recommend Whitby Castle highly enough. It was the perfect setting for the most important day of our lives.

We had a great experience hosting our wedding at Whitby Castle. From the initial planning stages to the day itself, everything was handled with a high level of professionalism.

Booking was straightforward and easy thanks to Ralph and Niki. On the day of the wedding, Roxy and Rosa kept everything moving exactly on schedule. Their coordination ensured that we didn't have to worry about the timeline, and the entire event ran smoothly from start to finish.

The food was a major highlight. The chef did an excellent job, and the quality was consistent across every course. He personally talked to each of our guests as well. Our guests were genuinely impressed—we’re still getting compliments about the meal months later, which speaks for itself.

We chose to use their vendor package and were very happy with that decision. It significantly simplified the planning process, and the results were exactly what we had hoped for.

Overall, Whitby Castle delivered a fantastic day. It’s a beautiful spot, but the service and the kitchen are what really set it apart. Highly recommended.

Whitby Castle was the most beautiful and thoughtful wedding venue from coordinators, servers, etc. The Maitre d, Ralph, was so impressive, thorough and wonderful to work with. We received such positive feedback about the food, stations and the flow of the ceremony to reception. Every detail was executed beautifully.. I can’t thank the team of Whitby enough especially Ralph who went above and beyond to make our day special. I highly recommend couples to get married here!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Whitby Castle! From start to finish, the entire team was absolutely incredible. They were so accommodating, organized, and made the entire process feel effortless — they truly have this down to a science.

Not only does Whitby Castle have the most beautiful ballroom, but the staff is amazing. Communication was on point from the beginning. Niki was so responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. When it came to wedding day logistics, Ralph was amazingggg. He was so responsive and on the day of the wedding, he (and staff) took care of EVERYTHING. The best staff!!! Would 100% recommend this venue!

The Whitby Castle did a fantastic job. They made my daughter’s day stress free and seamless. They responded to every request and question we asked of them and gave a day to remember. The food and service were beyond all our expectations.
