It’s been 2 weeks since we received our wedding photos back from Zhaun, and we’ve finally put into words how his work has made us feel. What we didn’t realize prior to booking was that a wedding photographer is not just someone taking pictures of your special day…it’s who you’ll hangout with most, who will bring your emotions to life in print, and who artistically tells your love story. Zhaun is all of those things and more. When we first met Zhaun for an intro call, the vibes were just right. He gave us an immense amount of confidence in his ability, and also was so honest and approachable when answering our questions. We felt most comfortable with his approach, style and knew he was the perfect person to capture our special day. What came after was far beyond our expectations. From meeting for hours in a Cava basement to discuss every single timeline detail, vision we had, and lend advice along the way…to answering texts with random paranoid questions promptly…to literally being the first person to greet and hug my mom on the day of the wedding - he was beyond! Beyond personable, beyond talented, and beyond a pleasure to be around. We are not people that are especially comfortable posing, and we wanted to be sure to capture all the little candid moments we had throughout the day/night. Zhaun took our direction and also his own and what resulted was magic. Our photos bring us right back to the exact emotions we felt on our most special day! His delicate balance of being intimately present for every little moment without imposing is so wonderful. In our photos we saw all the details of the day, we saw what others saw, and we saw every little glance or smile we gave one another - and it was all just so special. We got compliments from all of our family, wedding party and guests on how much of a joy he was to be around. Zhaun was our photographer, and now we also consider him our friend. We hope to use him to capture all of our family’s life moments - because he really is amazing at what he does. Working with Zhaun was one of the most enjoyable parts of planning our wedding. He perfectly balanced our desire for having some formal posed shots with mostly candid, documentary-styled shots throughout the day. Not only is he a talented photographer, but he also helped to bring calm to the chaos of our wedding day. We first met Zhaun when he photographed my sister's wedding in 2021, the same wedding where I met my now husband. He noticed the sparks flying that day and took photos of us dancing together for the first time. It was our number one priority when planning our wedding to have him as a part of our day. His energy throughout the planning process and on the day of is calm yet energetic with a willingness to try different things at times and let the day play out while capturing the moments as they happen naturally. He will not rush you or make you feel overwhelmed. It is so important to have a photographer that vibes with the couple and the group on the day of since you spend a lot of the day together, and I can tell you Zhaun goes out of his way to ensure he gets to know the couple prior to the event and understands group dynamics before even showing up to the day. He is great with kids, too! Many of our guests remarked at his professionalism and work ethic, and countless people have been in awe of our photos and will be for years to come. The final product is above and beyond in the way he captures light, emotion, movement and tradition. It all comes through when looking at the photos. My fiancée and I had the pleasure of working with Zhaun in May 2025 in Boston, MA, for an engagement shoot. Zhaun was very responsive and easy to communicate with from the get go.

Prior to the shoot, Zhaun worked with a local restaurant and received permission for us to take pictures in the restaurant before it opened. When we arrived at the restaurant, Zhaun helped us understand and practice different poses and photography techniques that we used throughout our 2-hour session.

We then began shooting in the restaurant. It was a dream for us to be able to take such authentic and beautiful pictures in our own space. After this, we walked over to the Boston Public Library and took pictures in a few locations on the way that Zhaun had scouted out prior to the shoot. We ended our session at the library.

Our experience with Zhaun was incredible, and so were the pictures that he sent over about a week later. He told a beautiful story within the pictures he selected and we are so happy with how they came out.

Lastly, to top it off, Zhaun delivered our full gallery over a month faster than promised - without sacrificing an ounce of his usual quality. The turnaround time, especially at his level of artistry, blew our minds!

First off, we got married in Maine and anyone reading Zhaun's page likely noted that he primarily operates in the Boston area. However, we were so taken by his artistic, romantic photos that truly looked like stills from a classic movie, that we decided to give him a call and see if he'd be willing to make the trek up to Ogunquit for our big day. We are SO GRATEFUL that he did, because WOW. Zhaun engages with his couples from the very start, having long conversations via email and phone about how we met in order to "capture our vibe." He works collaboratively to help you craft a photography timeline that makes sense, and one that will reflect you as a couple. For us, we had two locations that were very different--the ceremony was on a cliff and the reception on a dock in the bay--so we had two, distinct times for photos. He and Elizabeth did an absolutely incredible job capturing the scenery wherever we were. (And for you multicultural brides out there--my skin tone and that of my family looks correct in all the photos so far.) I'm posting both photos of sneak peeks AND photos of Zhaun at work because I've got to give credit for him literally scaling rocks to get the perfect shot during our first look, using a drone to capture the ceremony site, and staying nearly an half an hour late (and arriving nearly an hour early) because he wanted to capture the full extent of our event for us. He was a truly remarkable person to work with and we cannot recommend him highly enough!

From the first call with Zhaun, I knew we needed to hire him and it was one of the best decisions we made. He was so organized, communicative, and catered to make sure we had everything we wanted captured. Instead of engagement photos since we had them planned before hiring Zhaun, he was very accommodating and photographed our traditional Chinese tea ceremony and rehearsal dinner instead. Zhaun was super helpful when it came to posing which made us feel more at ease and so fun to work with. He’s incredibly talented and captured so many moments of our loved ones we didn’t get to see. When family photos felt a little chaotic during cocktail hour, he was quick to reel everyone in while still allowing everyone to take photos on their phones and get the shots he needed. His turnaround time is also impeccable and we even got sneak peaks before our honeymoon less than two weeks after our wedding. Looking at our photos tell the story of the entire day with our loved ones. It was an amazing experience working with Zhaun and I highly recommend him. We went into our wedding knowing that we wanted to invest in good photography. Zhaun absolutely exceeded our expectations. He was probably our most communicative vendor, he helped us put together our wedding timeline and was always available for us to reach out with more photo ideas.
