In 1977, Yolanda Amaya began a burgeoning hobby of cake baking and decorating. As her talent for baking began to spread via word of mouth, Yolanda began to receive a multitude of orders that spurned her to turn her hobby into a business.

In 1995, after years of baking from home, Mrs. Amaya decided to move her business into a legitimate establishment. Yolanda’s Specialty Cakes quickly became and has stood forerunner as a favorite in the cakery and baked goods industry of Corpus Christi, Texas.

As owner of Yolanda’s Specialty Cakes, Yolanda has accrued over 25 years experience in the food industry. She has acquired and honed her skills by dedicated her time in working closely with her staff and by meeting her customers needs. Yolanda’s Specialty Cakes has established a high reputation within the Corpus Christi community and continues to meet and exceed the expectations of their customers. With a hands on owner and dedicated staff, Yolanda’s Specialty Cakes has proven they are more than worthy of the high praise they have received and continue to receive for the last nineteen years.

Yolanda's Specialty Cakes has been baking sweet treats in South Texas for over 19 years. From satisfying your little sweet tooth to creating showstopping cakes for your huge bash, we do it all! We even carry baking goods and decorations!

We create cakes, cupcakes, and cookies for any occasion from birthdays to weddings, and everything in between. Various bakery goods are available in our cases everyday and are also available for special order--ask about availability.

Our cakes are primarily made-to-order, so please do place your orders with as much lead-time as possible! We do, however, have a small selection of smaller, ready-made cakes available everyday for those emergencies. Not sure you have enough time? Call us!
Cake sampling is in store every Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM, no appointment necessary.
We keep plenty of example photos of our work on-site, and we're always happy to work with our customers to create whatever unique ideas they may have.
