I was really surprised at how inexpensive it was. The cake we wanted was somewhat non-traditional, and she was open to whatever we wanted to do. Her portfolio is very impressive, and the cake is delicious.

Our experience with Yellow Bowl was great. We really enjoyed our tasting and they make the best frosting in the world! We brought in a picture of what we wanted our cake to look like and they did it just perfectly. I recommend Yellow Bowl for anyone!!

After shopping around we decided on Yellow Bowl Bakery for our wedding cake. With a picture and description of our ideal cake, we were able to get a custom cake exactly as we wanted. We had several flavors and they were all delicious. Although the cake was more expensive than we had hoped for, the cake tasted better than our expectations.

Nightmare...
Imagine arriving at your reception, which is a small intimate gathering of family and friends, to be informed by your host that the cake you ordered has not arrived...
My fiance and I ordered our wedding one month before our wedding, at the time we had not decided on a venue for our reception, we signed a contract and paid for our cake. At no point during this conversation were we offered the option of picking up our cake, we were told it was best that the cake be delivered, and the owner stated she would be out of town so she went to the kitchen to ask a pastry chef if she would be available to deliver the cake.
One week later we went back to meet with the owner to taste icing options for our cake, at which point the reception time and place had been booked and we informed her, the owner, that the plans were set. Before we left my fiance confirmed that the cake would just "arrive" at our reception on time and there was nothing further we needed to do...
Fast forward to the wedding night, we arrive at the restaurant to find the cake has not arrived. I immediately called the bakery, 7:30 pm on Saturday, there was of course no one there. We waited patiently for the cake to arrive, only to find it never did.
I contacted the owner via e-mail, as well as having left a voice mail at the bakery, stating our displeasure and asking that our money be refunded.
She responded apologetically at first, however for 4 days this has been drug out, with the shop owner insisting that the cake was to be picked up...Who picks up their own wedding cake??? And that her pastry chefs waited 3 extra hours to make sure they didn't "miss me". However I drove by the bakery on my way to get a cup of coffee when they should have been there and the shop was pitch black, not a soul in sight.
So to sum it up...
Paid for a cake I never received...
Have been made to believe that I am crazy...
Had a reception that was ruined because I had no cake...
Have been offered no compensation for the mistake...
And here I am at 9:00 pm 3 days after I was married, writing a review for the bakery that refuses to own their mistake...
Don't let this be you...
