The Woodhaven Mansion is a wedding venue located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Modeled after the legendary Biltmore Estate in the Smoke Mountains, this mansion combines the best of Southern charm with French country architecture. Five minutes from downtown Charlotte and 23 minutes from the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, this venue is convenient for out-of-town guests as well as locals. Exclusive and resplendent, this estate is a romantic and opulent space to tie the knot.
Facilities and Capacity
The 10,554-square-foot Woodhaven Mansion sits on a large and lush property, where a long driveway brings guests to the secluded manor. Guests are dropped off in the circular driveway set with flowers, where they will then be ushered into the modern French chateau. Inside, they will find a stone entranceway, replete with a grand staircase and salon, where an intimate ceremony can be held. The property boasts a large living area decorated with elegant furniture, twinkling chandeliers, and a fireplace, which can also double as a ceremony space. An open-plan kitchen with an antique-inspired island allows for a caterer to prepare the reception dinner, or for loved ones to cook a day-after brunch. Game and billiard rooms feature TVs and a full bar, and are great for guests to mingle, get ready, and socialize while enjoying cocktails. Other amenities include a spa, complete with a steam room and a dry sauna; and three more fireplaces. Outside, couples will find a roomy backyard where an outdoor ceremony or reception can be held. A swimming pool and hot tub also add to the ambiance, and are excellent for relaxing at a wedding shower or engagement party.
Services Offered
The Woodhaven Mansion comes with an event team who is happy to work with couples to make all their wedding dreams come true. An event caterer is provided to deliver delicious and spectacular meals to rehearsal dinners, receptions, and showers. Catering can be served in the dining area as well as on the back patio and in the pool area. A tent can also be erected on the lawn for outdoor ceremonies and receptions. The mansion has seven suites for overnight accommodations, all of which come with rich furnishings. The Grand Suite is outfitted with a chandelier, beautiful bay windows, a walk-in closet with a retro vanity, and a dazzling ensuite bathroom. This room is perfect for couples to spend the night, relax before the big day, and get ready with their loved ones.

Sonja has 30 years of experience in the field of housing, building and design. As the interior designer for the Woodhaven Mansion she knows this house inside and out. She loves to create systems that can streamline any operation. This is a skill she has developed over the years due to her life choices. She is the mother of 10 children. The oldest now 28 and the youngest almost a teenager. This has brought her ample opportunities to learn the traits of flexibility, intuition and invention, not to mention patience. Having designed several weddings already in her own life (as well as other large events) gives her the unique perspective that will allow her to help you with any endeavor. Her hobbies include travel, reading, dancing while cleaning and playing with grandchildren. Her world travels have given her a wide perspective of design and unique ideas that incorporate her experiences. Her favorite thing to do is meet new and interesting people. She would love the chance to work with you to create an event to immortalize your memories!
Jeya Evangelista is a Venue Coordinator at Woodhaven Mansion and a Marketing Assistant for The Estates LLC with a successful experience in marketing, customer service, real estate, and employee management. Jeya specializes in social media marketing, and short term rental management. She is a strong believer in the power of positive thinking in the workplace, and in developing strong relationships both professionally and personally. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with friends and family.
