Windsor Mountain Summer Camp is a park and outdoor wedding venue that is located in Windsor, New Hampshire. This property boasts the best of both worlds as it features indoor and outdoor event spaces. With panoramic views, natural surroundings, and rustic yet charming amenities, there is much to admire here. Certainly, it is a fitting location for hosting ceremonies, receptions, and cocktail hours.
Facilities and Capacity
Out on the amphitheater, couples may join together for the magical ceremony. Here, they can exchange rings and say ‘I do’ as they and their guests enjoy the expansive lake views. Once the union has been declared by the couple of honor’s officiant, the wedding party can make their way towards one of the numerous areas suitable for festivities. The main deck offers somewhere for conversing, relaxing, and enjoying cocktails or al fresco hors d’oeuvres. Here, memories can be made as everyone gets ready to welcome the newly married pair for their grand entrance. As afternoon edges towards evening, the dining hall can be opened up along with the deck for the all-important meal. With space for approximately 220 guests, the couple’s nearest and dearest can sit, dine, and bask in the occasion’s ambience. With appetites satisfied and palates pleased, everybody can drift off to dance, drink, and enjoy the one-of-a-kind event. Outside, the main couple can steal a moment of quiet contemplation by one of the fire pits as the party continues long into the night.

Owing to its waterfront location, Windsor Mountain Summer Camp offers a great number of outdoor pursuits such as sailing, canoeing, kayaking, and more. It is an ideal venue for the adventurous couple, and its many activities provide ample options for the guests as well. What’s more, there is archery, African drumming, and ziplining so that any pre-ceremony jitters can be eased through sheer enjoyment. For those who are planning a one-day event or a weekend-long affair, a range of accommodation can be booked nearby.
Cuisine
With so much to do at Windsor Mountain Summer Camp, wedding guests will surely work up quite an appetite. That is rather ideal considering that they make homestyle dishes onsite using fresh, local produce. Their cuisine is inspired by Italy, the South, Asia, and elsewhere. Some of their meals include spaghetti bolognese, barbecue chicken, and noodle soup, while they also offer vegetarian options. What’s more, the menu can be personalized to accommodate certain requests and preferences.

The most wonderful wedding weekend
In the months leading up to the wedding, we had a few meetings with Gabby to go over details and talk through our vision. She shared a full Google Drive for us with FAQs, room spreadsheets, food menus and more. We also attended a food tasting in the summer and got to tour the camp again.
On the Friday morning before the wedding, we met with her and handed off everything. She and the entire camp staff took it from there so we did not have to think about a single thing all weekend. We had a perfect weekend. The staff were incredible, the food was delicious and our guests had so much fun.
The location itself is stunning. The lake, the trees, the ceremony site, the cabins and buildings, open fields etc. made the entire camp feel peaceful, scenic and special. The lakefront treehouse for the couple to stay in is also beautiful.
They have a solid rain plan, they worked with us to stay within our food budget and the activities are endless. There are a variety of cabins for guests and a house for those who may need extra amenities, such as elderly guests or parents with infants. Guests loved having access to the lake, zip line, ropes course, walking trails, etc.
Windsor Mountain is amazing and we are so grateful we chose it.
The BEST Weekend!
A summer camp wedding venue was high on our list of ideas even before we were engaged. We wanted to be able to spend time with our guests in a fun and relaxed environment without a short time cap. We loved the idea of everyone staying on site and having all the traditional summer camp activities available to them. So many of our guests (kids and adults!) used the zipline and the giant swing. On top of that, our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were exactly the camp elegance we hoped for. The food was delicious (this is your sign to have apple crisp as your fall wedding. Helena nails it!) and the brew canoe was a highlight for everyone.
If a camp wedding is what you are looking for, Windsor Mountain is the place to do it!
Genuinely, the best weekend of our lives
When I started venue hunting, I was initially disheartened -- I didn't want to spend tons of money on a 5 hour, stuffy event. I wanted to really actually spend time with our guests, and feel laid back and relaxed. This could not have been more perfect. We got to actually enjoy our time and hang out with friends - swimming, field day, yard games, zip lining, late night cabin chats - we were totally in our element and so were our guests. We even won over some camp skeptics.
I always thought it was a cliche that you wedding is the best weekend of your life but Windsor made that come true for us. Thank you SO much.
Our Dream Wedding!
We knew we would be in capable hands when we met with Gabby Jack to tour the camp and talk about what the weekend could be. It is clear that this camp knows how to do weddings. They've got a stash of decorations, dishes, and other reception items that have been donated from past groups for anyone to use. Gabby was also able to share a whole collection of information that was helpful for our planning purposes, and she was there throughout the process to answer any additional questions. It was also tremendously helpful that Gabby brings all the couples for each year together for a tour and tasting, allowing us all to collaborate and share ideas and tips.
Planning a summer camp wedding is definitely unique and challenging, but from the moment we arrived Friday morning for our wedding weekend, we were blown away! The way Gabby and her staff executed our vision was so impressive. As soon as our guests arrived, we were able to just relax and actually enjoy our wedding weekend, knowing that we were in capable hands. Our close family and friends also expressed how grateful they were that they were able to be so care-free and experience the wedding as guests, after being so involved in the planning and preparation beforehand. Gabby and her staff are some of the most professional, capable, and kind people. Our guests could not stop raving about them!
Our biggest hesitation when choosing to do a summer camp wedding was making sure our guests were comfortable. Windsor has a few different types of accommodations that allowed us to place our guests according to their needs. There is electricity in all of the cabins and bathrooms are close by and clean. Even those who are not accustomed to more rustic living loved their stay at camp! There are also options nearby camp that some of our guests took advantage of.
We couldn't have picked a better venue! We LOVED every aspect of our wedding. Pick Windsor!!
