Whitecaps Film is a wedding videography business based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mel, who is the owner and videographer, has been working in the wedding industry since 2017. She is passionate about using videography to not only be creative, but also to forever capture couples’ love stories on film. Before your big day, Mel would be thrilled to meet up with you so that you can share what ideas you have in mind and what your film needs are.

Services Offered
Whitecaps Film offers couples the option of choosing either a Platinum, Gold, or Bronze videography package. If you would like, you can request that drone footage is added on to your package too. As part of the starting price, you can enjoy features such as a high-definition video and a highlight video. Mel offers coverage for the pre-ceremony, ceremony, and reception. Talk about TALENTED—wow!!!!

I went back and forth so many times about whether to have a videographer at our wedding, and I can’t even begin to express how THANKFUL I am that I reached out to Mel and made it happen. Having her there on our big day was truly phenomenal.
Mel is not only incredibly skilled but also one of the kindest, most genuine people you could ever meet. She made the entire experience so seamless and fun, capturing every special moment in a way that felt natural and effortless. I had so much fun with her and I appreciate it so much that she went beyond to bring my vision to life! Watching wedding footage brings me right back to the emotions, the laughter, and the love—it’s truly priceless.
If you’re even thinking about hiring Mel or anyone on her team, don’t hesitate for a second! She is beyond talented, and I will forever be grateful for the beautiful memories she captured so perfectly.

Amazing team!

Hands down, the BEST TEAM I have ever worked with!!!
Maddy & Sara were there to capture our special day. These two girls were a blast to be around with. Also, my dog Luke could not get enough of them!! They made taking photos and the videography so effortless and captured every little detail and raw moment that day. I have also been speaking to Mel and she is the sweetest girl. Her response time was so quick when I had any questions. When we received the sneak peak video -::::water works::: I was crying watching it over and over. It was absolutely beautiful. Patrick & I thank you all so much and would highly recommend you all to our locals here on the OBX.

Wedding Videographer

Mel and her team did an absolutely AMAZING job on our wedding day!! Could not have asked for a better videographer! The video we received is incredible and captured our wedding day so perfectly. It was so nice to receive the teaser so early to get a sneak peak as well! They were so kind, responded quickly, and were so supportive! Mel and her team are extremely talented and amazing at what they do! Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend them!! :)

Best Videographer I’ve worked with!

Absolutely loved working with Mel and her team on a recent Wedding! As a Photographer, collaborating and working with other videographers and making it a seamless experience is a must for our couples. Mel didn’t miss a beat! One word.. drone views

Wow, we have only received our teaser video and we are literally blown away. I was thrilled to find out Mel did drone footage and she has delivered! What an awesome female team, highly recommend that extra special touch!

Mel is hands down so incredibly talented at what she does! She was so much fun to work with and even helped me with my wedding timeline to ensure it flowed smoothly! She makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera and got everything on my wedding day! The quality of our video is amazing, and we received it a lot quicker than I thought!!! If you are looking for a phenomenal videographer, Mel is your girl! She’s professional, easy going, and so helpful!! 10/10 would recommend her to anyone!!!

Loved working with them!!

Mel and her team were great to work with!! They were very responsive and flexible throughout the whole planning process. They captured our whole wedding day and we are in love with the film we have received!!! Would 100% recommend Whitecaps to anyone :)

Impeccable work & a joy to work with from start to finish!

Mel did an incredible job filming our wedding!! Not only is she super talented with the camera, but her calm and caring presence, intuition, flexibility and passion for creating beautiful art and care for every little detail that is important to her clients makes her an absolute joy to work with.

She also went wayyyyy above and beyond in the editing process to ensure that the final product was exactly what we wanted.

I 100% recommend Whitecaps Film to anyone who wants an incredible wedding film and a smooth and enjoyable process from start to finish!

Amazing work!
