The Watson-Curtze Mansion is a stunning wedding venue located in Erie, Pennsylvania. This venue offers an elevated and elegant space that will suit any couple's needs. Built in 1891, the Watson-Curtze Mansion is a Victorian-era home at the heart of Erie's historic Millionaire's Row. This historical marvel is bound to thrill and excite guests, helping couples create an absolutely unforgettable celebration.
Facilities and Capacity
The Watson-Curtze Mansion offers couples 15,000 square feet of space as well as 24 rooms in a Richardsonian Romanesque style with features such as stained-glass windows, hand-painted friezes, and ornate mosaics. This unique home also features 12 fireplaces, a solarium, and an extraordinary ballroom. The incredible indoor space is complemented by their outdoor areas, which include a garden and a tented patio. The venue can accommodate 120 indoor guests and 350 outdoor guests, making it the perfect space for both intimate affairs and grand celebrations.
Services Offered
The team offers a variety of services for weddings and events. Couples and their guests receive unlimited access to the 12 exhibits on offer in the mansion, a perfect way to entertain guests during the cocktail hour. Each wedding has access to the event coordination team, which helps bring the wedding vision to life. The venue can provide tables, chairs, linens, and decor rentals, with the setup and takedown handled by their staff. Couples have a choice of two delightful catering partners, both of which provide delicious and creative dishes. The Watson-Curtze Mansion works with couples to create a wedding experience like no other in Northern Pennsylvania.

Team
Kelly joined the HHC staff in 2022 and serves as the Special Events Coordinator.
Kelly earned her Bachelor’s degree in History in 2013. She first began at the History Center as the educational intern from 2009 to 2013. She then went on to work at a local advertising agency helping plan several large-scale, award-winning events and productions in the Erie community.
In 2017, She earned her Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and teaching certification. She then went on to work as a high school American history teacher in Pittsburgh, PA. While there, she developed and advised a student council club, achieving several student-driven fundraisers.
Most recently, Kelly and her family moved back to their hometown of Erie. She is currently a stay-at-home mom to her two amazing children. In her spare time, she owns and operates an Etsy shop that specializes in hand-lettered wood signs.
Kelly is excited to combine her versatile skills in teaching history, event planning, and design at the Hagen History Center.
