The Watson-Curtze Mansion is located on historic "Millionaires Row" in downtown Erie, Pa. Built in 1891, this Romanesque home, built of Medina sandstone is heavily ornamented, and has a soft pink hue. The spectacular interior is a treasure trove of exotic stone mantles and heavily carved woodwork featuring multiple motifs, stained glass windows, and opulent golden Mosaic tiles. The interior is furnished with antique furnishings and art.
The Watson-Curtze Mansion is an event center on the ground floor and a museum on the second, and third floors. This makes a unique and interesting setting for your guests to enjoy and explore. Also included is the third-floor ballroom, a part of the original house which is very charming and can be used for dancing. The mansion itself can accommodate up to 70 for formal dinner seating, and 175 for standing cocktail receptions. During summer months the manicured grounds provide an excellent stage for an outdoor component to your wedding, and with the addition of a tent, we can accommodate up to 300+ guests for formal sit-down dinner.
