Mooreland went through a management change during our planning, however the new manager was very responsive and knew plans we had discussed previously. The staff the night of were a dream to work with and ensured our ceremony and reception were elegant, on time, and as stress-free as a wedding night can be for a bride and groom! I would highly recommend this venue if you are hoping for a wedding night filled with professionalism and joy.

We had our ceremony and reception here and we got so many compliments on our venue! Our wedding coordinator was basically a wedding planner for us and made everything so easy. The rose garden during the fall is magical.

We could not have dreamed up a better location for our wedding than Mooreland!! I think my (now) husband and I both knew that about halfway through our first tour, and it was just further confirmed with each additional tour we went on because no other venue could measure up. (And we even looked at some local favorites here in the Chicago.) In the end ... it was always Mooreland.

We booked about a year and half out from our wedding date, so we had a lot of time to ask (read: overly pester) with our questions, but they were always there with a quick response. Even when they picked up a new venue coordinator in the form of Michelle, we never felt put off or that the transition went any less than smoothly. (Which is not always the case in venue turnovers.) I actually work as a wedding planner and have been in the industry for 8+ years, so to say I had high expectations for our wedding would be the understatement of the year. Again, Mooreland delivered in every way.

Our guests were just as in love with the mansion & grounds as we were; it made me so happy to hear how beautiful they thought it was throughout our day. The service? Above and beyond. Everyone we ever interacted with a Mooreland was just so accommodating. Even *after* the wedding day, Michelle offered to send an item we'd left back with a friend who was traveling to Chicago. Like, what?!! And talk about convenient! It's incredibly rare to have both a Bride & Groom Suite (basically an entire floor!) to get ready, a beautiful rose garden for your ceremony just steps away from cocktail hour, AND a sun room + green space for pre- or post-ceremony photos to be done right on-site.

I will note that we were a little nervous about about the food because we hadn't gotten to taste the exact items we picked out, but Normandy Catering at Mooreland really came through! We received many compliments from our guests, and my meal was personally one of the best I've ever had at a wedding.

I can tell you *very* confidently that you will be hard-pressed to find the atmosphere, flexibility and value that Mooreland has wrapped up all in one stunning venue package.

When choosing the Mooreland Mansion to be our ceremony and reception venue, I did not anticipate how truly beautiful and perfect our wedding day would be. With the help of the Event Coordinator, Michelle, Normandy Catering for the AMAZING food (everyone was raving about it), the beautiful mansion and outdoor space, and the help of all our other vendors, it was a dream of a wedding. We have guests telling us how unique this space is from a traditional ballroom/banquet, which is exactly what I wanted. Having the dance floor on the back porch of the mansion created such a fun and different environment to dance and sing the night away, which looks over the gardens in the backyard. We had a guest count of approximately 115, and it was the perfect size for this venue. I would 100% recommend Mooreland Mansion to anyone. Attached photos by Black Dog Photo.

This was the BEST part of wedding and wedding planning. Their event planner's name is Katie- if you can get her to handle all your meetings and tours I guarantee you are in great hands. She was easy to get in contact with and always quick to answer our questions. The staff the day of were fabulous, accommodating, and polite. The food was excellent. The house and the grounds were just stunning and made a perfect setting for our wedding theme. When you rent the house you get THE WHOLE house, a dance floor, caterers and bar, the gardens, etc. They were great about letting us decorate and really personalize. I would recommend time and time again.

I don't know why any bad reviews exist for the Mooreland Mansion. I worked with Sherry and she was fantastic! She listened to everything I said and planned everything out exactly as I wanted. She was a pleasure to work with. We had a very unique wedding with a ton of instructions of how to arrange things and how to seat people. Everything was perfect! The staff was great, the food was great, and the price was pretty good for the magical night we had. It was truly our dream wedding and could not have been any more beautiful. I suggest giving the Mooreland Mansion a try! All I suggest is to book in advance! We booked about a year in advance and paid everything on time and everything was wonderful.

This venue was BEAUTIFUL, and I can't say enough about the staff and the food. Every detail was perfect, and they made sure of it throughout the night. Their staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the chef made a special menu for us, and it was PHENOMENAL!! Everyone was appreciative that it wasn't the typical "wedding food" - it was food people went back for seconds on, and it was a buffet, if that says anything! We will use this venue for all of our special events from now on. The value is ridiculous for what you are getting, in a really good way. LOVED IT!!!

The staff at Mooreland were just great to work with from our initial visit with Debbie to the night of the wedding and reception. We looked at 6 venues in the area and chose Mooreland because we did not want to share our day with club memebers at a country club or yacht club and we did not want to see any other wedding parties other than our own on that special day which would have been the case if the reception was held at a hotel. We are so glad that we chose Mooreland, the beautiful venue with lovely gardens were perfectly maintained and we could customize the space with personal photos and momentos, plus because the building is a home, it has wonderful places for our photographer to take natural looking photos without needing to manufacture badkgrounds. The staff at Mooreland from the event planners to the chef and staff are professional and intuitive and worked hard to make our wedding perfect. I have received so many compliments on the wedding and some of that has to go to Debbie and the staff at Moorelend

Everyone at Mooreland was so wonderful! Especially our event planner, Debbie Weber! She was a true joy and pleasure to work with. I don't know how many times a week I emailed her, but enough to drive anyone crazy, and she was always soo sweet and helpful. The food was delicious, the site is gorgeous, and the staff all so friendly and helpful! The only downfall was the recent change they have done due to budget cuts and that's the new rule of the event planner not being allowed to be at the wedding the wedding day. Everything still worked out wonderfully, but we built a relationship and trust in Debbie, our planner, that it would have just been really nice to work with her the day of the wedding as well.

The pictures do not give this place justice....My daughter was married in the Rose Garden June 11, 2011...the roses were in full bloom, the grass was thick and green, it was beautiful....I worked with Sherry Hale and I can't say enough about her..she worked with us and kept everybody as stress free as possible....She allowed us to bring the extra wedding things the week of and set everything up just as we asked. They worked very well with our vendors and did everything to help them out. The food was good, not great but acceptable..We had the salmon, eggplant Parmesan and strip steak....first to were the best..steak was a bit tough and looked to have canned mushrooms on top not fresh...The staff was fantastic...so nice to everybody and they worked very hard all night...They helped us at the end of the night to get all our things together and were very kind and patient with us, even though I know they were tired and ready to leave. We danced under the oak trees and moonlight....the Mansion is gorgeous,very yesteryear , vintage property.....Everybody just loved it and said so all night....I highly recommend the Mooreland....very reasonably priced .There is really nothing like it in this area to even compare...off the charts beautiful !!!!! our pictures hopefully will be up in a month or so just look for Malorie and Justin Coughlin....Blaine and Bethany photography out of Fort Hood, Oregon. The pictures will make you fall in love with the Mooreland Mansion....We booked 10 months prior to wedding so if interested you better book quick !!!!
