My name is Vanessa Waters and I am an Ordained Interfaith Minister and Wedding Officiant with 18+ years of experience. Over the years, I’ve studied many religions, philosophies, traditions, and lifestyles, and what I’ve learned is that every couple’s story is one-of-a-kind and deserves to be honored in a way that feels authentic to them.
What sets me apart from other officiants is my modern approach. I don’t believe in cookie-cutter ceremonies. Instead, I carefully craft each wedding to reflect your unique love story, your personalities, and your journey together. My ceremonies are non-religious by default, but I am happy to incorporate cultural or religious aspects at your request. Whether you envision something traditional, non-traditional, civil, interfaith, or a same-sex union, I will design a ceremony that feels true to who you are as a couple.
I welcome and will officiate for anyone, from anywhere, no exceptions. Based in Virginia, I am also willing to travel to help make your day exactly what you dream it to be.

And before that, your availability to chat with us over zoom and the phone is something we truly appreciated with being out of state and whatnot. Every question was answered, and every step was explained. And, any of my questions you were there answering so quickly!! With how busy you must be, we truly appreciate the hard work you put in, even into our small wedding. And everywhere we went, we heard glowing words of you! I could not agree more! For any couples, especially out of state couples, have no doubt, Vanessa is an AMAZING officiant. I'd also like to note that we requested a non-religious ceremony, and Vanessa did a wonderful job with it and never made us feel uncomfortable with our decision.
