The management of this exquisite venue invites couples to host their wedding celebrations at the heart of this scenic island. You and your loved ones can enjoy festivities in these majestic surroundings - a remarkable backdrop for your special day.

Facilities and Capacity

This venue features inviting outdoor and indoor spaces to hold events. The picturesque courtyard and gazebo offer a wonderful ceremony site, complete with views of a serene pond. Within the Village House, you can feast your eyes on large copper bars, dark hardwood flooring, and a country-style stone fireplace. The ballroom offers space for special events, with glittering chandeliers installed on the ceiling. You and your guests may relax in covered porches as you while away the evening.

Services Offered

The Village House at Litchfield is available for a variety of wedding events, including ceremonies and receptions. You may make bookings to best fit the style of your occasion, from an intimate gathering to a gala celebration. You can avail of four hours, with the option to extend this, or book by the day. This venue can be made ready for you from 9 am to midnight. Your event coordinator will help guide you through the available options for venue times and setup. For a fee, staff will set up tables, chairs, and decor for your event. This venue’s rental inventory includes 98 black chairs, 110 black folding chairs, two eight-foot-long tables, four six-foot-long tables, and 25 round tables. Additionally, 15 barstools and 10 cocktail tables can be made ready for your festivities. The event coordinator will work with you and your vendors to help make your celebration a memorable and enjoyable occasion.

Cuisine

Catering and bartending for events at The Village House at Litchfield is handled by this venue’s partner, Bovine’s and Wahoo’s Fish House. This culinary team offers a hand-crafted menu of tempting cuisine and beverages for your wedding dining. These caterers will provide professional displays and attentive service to increase the enjoyment of you and your guests.

A Perfect Day

I want to express my sincere thanks to Julia and the entire Village House staff. Their attention to detail and their hard work at my daughter’s wedding was outstanding.

The spacious facilities are beautiful both inside and outside. The bridal party dressing rooms were outstanding. The beautiful bars and screened porch areas allowed for a lot of mingling among the guests.

The food from Wahoos was wonderful. I received so many guest comments on the quality and quantity of the meals and late night pretzel bar. The bars were well stocked and service was great.

Everything was top notch. We could not have asked for a better reception.

Our saving grace, perfection!

The Village House and Julia Nichols assistance on our wedding day was our saving grace. Our beach wedding quickly turned to needing an indoor venue due to tropical storm Ophelia. Julia and Village House helped us literally within 2 days. We were initially so bummed about having to move indoors but it was honestly PERFECT. the space is clean, beautiful, brand new floors and Julia is just awesome. I can’t say enough about how helpful she was with setting up, coordinating, taking down and everything in between. If I could have predicted the weather and planned differently from the start we would have 100% used The Village House! 10000/10 recommend. (photos posted were by Hannah Ruth Photography in SC)

Amazingly perfect!

Where do I start?! I contacted Julia, 8 weeks before our wedding day and from the first call, I knew it was going to be seamless. Julia was absolutely a joy to work with. She made everything a breeze. When it came to pricing, picking out food, decor of the venue, and more, she was on top of it! All of the vendors we used had plenty of experience working together which made it all seem so seamless. I would 1000% recommended using this venue space for any sort of event, small or large. The Bridal suit was so beautiful and clean, so perfect to enjoy an afternoon of hair and makeup. The food was incredible. The appetizers were amazing and our 2 entree stations were delicious. Julia was so sweet and packed my husband and I a togo box of everything so we could actually enjoy it once we got home after our reception. We chose the top shelf package for alcohol so that did not disappoint us or any of our guests. All of our photos turned out amazing outside the venue and inside, so many beautiful spots! It was a perfect day with a perfect venue and a perfect staff. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely amazing!!!!

Julia the event coordinator at The Village House is amazing!!! She was so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our dream wedding came true! We had about 100 guests and there was more than enough room for everyone to mingle and dance! The food was SOO good! All of our guests were raving about it and the wait staff was super friendly! Highly recommend having your wedding here!

Best venue outside of Myrtle

We had my daughter’s wedding at the Village House at Litchfield this April 2021. We searched every venue, I mean, every venue within a two-hour drive of the Myrtle airport, as we had to move her wedding from Virginia due to COVID. Trust me; once you go here, you do not need to look anywhere else. Julia made the wedding process so simple and somewhat stress-free as we had one month to plan a 185+ wedding, but we did. She provided us with vendor names and helped us with anything we needed. The setting was beautiful, and the accommodations were spacious for our wedding size. The indoor/outdoor setting allowed guests to move freely as they chose. Initially, we were thrown off at the location, being set in what seemed to be a commercial area. Still, it actually was ideal for guests, and the building is set far enough behind that it actually was very private. The getting ready area for the bridal party easily accommodated my daughter’s insane 15+ wedding party and was a perfect location for mother/ daughter pictures. I have zero complaints to list. Again, we traveled all over, do not waste your time looking elsewhere, the price is ideal, the location is beautiful, and Julia is wonderful.

Wonderful venue!

Julia and her team did a wonderful job bringing our wedding dreams to life on very short notice! They were accommodating especially even through the rain, Covid, and honoring all of our crazy family traditions/requests! I cannot say enough great things about the bridal suite as well. It was so convenient to have an area where all of my girls (all 20 of us) could hang out and get ready at worry free. Julia was very professional and quick to respond throughout the entire wedding process and worked well with our other vendors. The space is beautiful and is a lot more secluded than it may appear! I would recommend the village house to ANYONE having a wedding at Pawleys island!

The Village House is so Beautiful!

Julia was amazing! She helped make my wedding everything I could have imagined and more. She is so sweet and caring! Food was delicious and staff was amazing. Kristen was the best bartender I have ever had! The venue is gorgeous.

Excellent experience

The Village House was the perfect venue for our daughters wedding. They have a beautiful setting indoors and out that is flexible for inclement weather and comfortable for both small and large groups. Julia, the event manager, has a calming, polite professional demeanor and was wonderful to work with. She was consistently available through text, email or phone and accommodated several onsite meetings. The venue is conveniently located not only close to the ocean, but also several great restaurants and hotels. Their catering service, Bovines, was exceptional! Way over expectation. Their staff friendly and professional. Could not have asked for anything better than our daughter stating her "dream wedding came true".

Beautiful low country venue

With COVID restrictions my daughter had to reschedule large wedding in Greenville. As they still wanted to get married on date chosen and with only one months timeline we found the Village House in Litchfield in our hometown. It was simply beautiful! Everything from the grounds surrounding venue, front and back porches, and the stone fireplace inside which is where they stood for ceremony was perfect. Julia was wonderful to work with and her floral recommendation was spot on for that boho feel Emma wanted. The fact that venue has in house food and beverage in addition to tables/chairs made planning so simple and easy. I would highly recommend this venue for everything from weddings, retirement parties, etc. as it can be as intimate or large as you want.

Recommend The Village House to all Brides

The Village House is the perfect location for any wedding. The ball room has a beautiful romantic chandelier, with long large windows looking out. The Village House also has a stunning fireplace (and who doesn't love a fireplace). In addition The Village House has a beautiful outside setup with endless opportunities for pictures with romantic lighting. You can choose to get married outside or inside and both locations are nothing less of beautiful!
