Our daughter’s wedding was April, 2024. From the beginning planning stages through the clean up and goodbyes, Vida Buena Farms was the best experience. Meeting in person several times to discuss logistics, answer questions and share ideas, Rick and Laura’s extensive knowledge and experience was invaluable.

Friday set up was organized and efficient utilizing family and friends as well as Rick, Laura and Shannon. The welcome dinner was held at Hovey Tasting Room in Murphys. With the addition of a taco truck and excellent weather, the experience was a perfect start to a magical weekend that exceeded our expectations.

The wedding day experience from the ceremony by the tree, to drinks/appetizers on the patio and reception in the barn, was seamlessly executed by Rick, Laura and Shannon.

Our day was more than we could ever imagine and Rick and Laura made it go so smooth and relaxed for us. From start, with setting a date, to the end of our wedding night, they were super helpful and made us feel comfortable and inviting.

Truly amazing people and property!! We met Rick & Laura at a wedding faire in very early 2020 and booked our first visit in March 2020...we pushed our wedding twice for COVID but they were both so easy to get along with, incredibly welcoming and helpful, flexible and understanding. We just got married in October 2022 and it was WELL WORTH the wait.

We met about 4 times before the wedding day and every time Laura gave us more to think about and to decide on- which an awesome wedding coordinator should! They’ve thought of everything you can imagine and it’s been so nice to see all of the upgrades they’ve done (dance floor, pavers, etc.).

The loft is a great place to get ready and it was so amazing for me and my husband were able to sleep there and spend more time soaking in the day.

Vida Buena Farm is a wonderful venue that is made even better by the owners, Laura and Rick. The property itself is beautiful, it's very well-kept, and it serves as a great/flexible setting for whatever you would want your wedding to be. Laura and Rick provided top-notch service during the entire event, helped us with a day-of timeline (super helpful), and in general guided us through the process with all of their experience. Having access to the property for the whole weekend is a huge positive and was one of our favorite parts of the venue. You are required to set-up/clean-up yourself, including all chairs and tables, but that is fairly easy depending on your decorations and who you have to help.

The setting: There are multiple unique "areas" of the property that allow you to separate different portions of the wedding. We used different areas for the welcome reception, cocktail hour, ceremony, reception, and dancing. Everywhere on the property is a photographer's dream.

The food: Awesome. Laura is a great chef and we loved the food. It's the only wedding I've been a part of where people actually remember what they ate.

The staff: Helpful, friendly, professional, and in general just great

Overall: Great experience. Give Vida Buena Farm a shot, you won't be disappointed.

OMG! I cannot say enough about how absolutely amazing Rick and Laura are. I was so blessed to have met them and worked with them for the past two years. Anything you want they will make happen. They are the most caring and passionate venue owners. Laura make the most fantastic catering menu, from welcome reception, appetizers, dinner and etc.! Rick was the best officiant I could have eve asked to have for my wedding. He helped put together an amazing ceremony that really showed our personalities. This is the place to be! Stop wasting your time with any other venue, because this is the BEST venue in California book them now! Thank you RICK and Laura for making our day the most perfect day that I could ever dream of. There is not enough space for me to write all the amazing things this venue does for brides. You will forever hold such an special place in my heart!!!!! Vida buena was the perfect location for a wedding. Laura and Rick are literally the best. Very open, and willing to make all your dream come true for your special day!

Laura and Rick helped us organize and hold a beautiful and intimate wedding at their venue. It was perfect in every way. Rick was our officiant and his words were thoughtful and very meaningful to us as a couple. Laura did our catering and the food was amazing. I highly recommend Vida Buena Farm.

Rick and Laura were the most gracious hosts; what a blessing it was to find Vida Buena Farm. Of course, like most brides in 2020, we had to change our wedding plans a few times due to COVID and Rick and Laura were always very supportive and assisting with suggestions to keep our day special. The venue has so much to offer from a beautiful meadow and single oak tree to a smaller tree grove; not to mention the amazing barn and bocce ball court covered with winery vines!

The barn's loft area is great for a Bridal Suite. It is so beautifully thought out with rustic and vintage touches throughout the space and the most amazing bathroom. It is obvious that all the elements on the property have been built with love by Rick - You can even rent some gorgeous live edge farm tables for your special day!

In the midst of our day, there were small things that I had forgotten about and Laura was quick to address! She had a playlist ready for our guests during cocktail hour while we were out taking photos. Laura was a great contact for our vendors, calling them to clarify deliveries on the day of.

I know it was hard in 2020 for venues, but Vida Buena pushed ahead creating new tables for incoming brides, landscaping and recovering a cute pond and building out an amazing kitchen in the barn for catering use! They were busy this year!!

While the venue itself is amazing, we were truly blessed to meet Laura and Rick as well and we can not wait to come back and enjoy some more wine with them at the farm! (When visiting Vida Buena Farm, be sure to ask for some of their sparkly bubbles they make at Hovey Winery, it is delicious!)

If the venue doesn't simply win you over completely, the owners will! Rick and Laura are so kind and patient, and truly want to help you achieve your vision. They are so accommodating, and help in any way they possibly can. Laura was an awesome day of coordinator and helped everyone with last minute set ups and keeping everything on track!

This venue was the most perfect place for us to get married. It was everything we had dreamed and hoped for! From the gorgeous big oak to the twinkling lights in the Shady Grove. It was so beautiful and I would recommend this venue to anybody. Plus, the family who owns it were so kind and helped us out greatly - bonus!
