We absolutely loved working with Denise and cannot recommend her highly enough! Not only is Denise an incredibly talented DJ with a wealth of knowledge across many music genres - with the unique ability to create a musical landscape from your vision - she is also a fantastic MC and a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process.

My husband and are are very picky when it comes to music, yet have an eclectic taste, which I imagine be a tricky combination to work with and try to pin down. Denise hit it out of the park! She managed to seamlessly weave in our all-time favorite songs at the appropriate times, and complemented our selections with many of her own choices that I loved but would never have come up with on my own. She knows how to select the perfect song to create the exact vibe you are going for; every time a new song came on, I thought, ‘YES! Excellent choice!’ The vibe was absolutely on point throughout the event.

Denise also did a wonderful job of MC-ing and engaging with our guests — sharing with our guests what they needed to know and where they needed to be, and assertively yet very politely guiding them along when it was time to transition to a new location. A few of our guests mentioned afterwards how cool our DJ was — and she is, indeed, very rad; one guest asked if it would be possible to share the playlist with them; and one couple actually asked for Denise’s contact information as they are planning their upcoming reception. Clearly, Denise’s work speaks for itself!

Further, Denise was incredibly professional and organized when it came to planning, and made the process fun! We had calls every other month or so, and really felt like Denise got to know us on a personal level, which showed in the music selection and MC-ing. She is also very detail-oriented; she came up with a schedule for the day, and made sure she checked with us on how to correctly pronounce every single member of the wedding party’s name. Finally, I really appreciated that Denise provided us with all of the playlists for the event — including two bonus playlists for our after-party and farewell brunch -- so we can enjoy our wedding music for decades to come.

Again, we can’t recommend Denise enough and are so grateful to her for making our special day absolutely perfect.

We loved having Denise (DJ Deja) as our wedding DJ! She came highly recommended from our venue/coordinator and now we know why! I had never seen a female DJ at a wedding, and like other reviews mention, there is something about having that female presence/woman's touch that really suits a wedding well.

Denise is so professional, quick over e-mail, and full of knowledge and advice. Her DJ Portal makes it easy to communicate what we want to hear (and NOT hear). For selections we weren't sure about, she made recommendations based on what she thought we would like. She comes prepared with so many notes and highlights so as not to miss even a tiny detail. She embraced everything we wanted, and by the time my husband and I were out on the dance floor, it felt like our DREAM music and dancing. Even the songs we didn't specifically request were exactly our style. She knew how to read the room. Our venue is an unusual setup but Denise was popping up here and there all night, making sure everything was working. I recommend reaching out to her if you're looking for a DJ. Her personality and professionalism will win you over!

Amazing! So much knowledge and experience. She moved the wedding along better than a wedding planner. Her take charge and can do attitude along with her attention to detail are incredible. Obviously this wasn't her first wedding. She knew what the bride needed before the bride did. Great job!!

DJ Denise (Deja) had previously done the music at our friends' wedding and we knew that she needed to be there for ours. Our guests both young and old could not stop dancing and we are still hearing about how much they loved the music. She was so much fun to work with and felt like a friend at the party. We could not recommend her enough!

I saw Denise at my friends wedding so I knew right away the quality of a party I’d be getting. What we didn’t know was how easy, exciting and amazing planning music would be. Denise has an online portal that you can easily just plan away on as you lead up to the event. The must haves and do not plays listed in black and white with simple comments on what’s important about them if needed. Planning sessions can be a little time consuming but it’s because Denise chats through every detail to ensure she’s got what you want locked and loaded. She cares about your event, comes dressed for the occasion (she looked better than some of my guests - but still understated and blended in) and she’s ready to have a good time. She carefully watches the room and pumps people up and keeps them going all night. If your lookin for hoaky antics (like dance for a dollar), you might look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for classy, thoughtful, have a blast kind of DJ that feels honored to be in the room with you, she’s your lady. I’d have another wedding party just to have her there with us again. Note: we only did a cocktail party event that was a much shorter “wedding”. She was flexible with rates to fit our style and length of event (4 hours).

Denise is an amazing DJ. She is passionate, talented, and committed to getting everyone on the dance floor. We were really excited to have a female presence running the music on our big day. The online music selection and planning tools were very helpful. Denise spent hours on the phone with us in the months leading up to the big day, and planned every moment of our wedding day perfectly and helped to make all of the transitions seamless. Work with her and you won't be dissapoined!

Denise is the best and will be our "go to" DJ from this point forward. Having a female DJ for your wedding is the way to go. She brings a feminine touch and understands certain details of a wedding that a male DJ may not. Sorry fellas this is what I think! She is extremely professional and responsive. Her speaking voice is lovely. We were thrilled with her performance at our wedding. We also received CDs of our wedding playlist which was an added bonus. Thank you Denise!

Denise was a fabulous wedding DJ! She met with us several times to go over our song lists and to suggest songs we might like. She was so helpful based on her past wedding experiences. She helped us not only with the music, but with deciding on the flow of the evening. She was a great emcee and was very flexible and fun. She even let some of the kids at the wedding help out and try out some of the equipment. She was very professional, yet had the dance floor packed all night. We had a great wedding and a fabulous dance party with all our friends and family. I highly recommend DJ Deja!!!
