First established in 1964 by husband-and-wife team James and Vera, and having successfully served thousands of brides, the acclaimed Vera's House of Bridals is dedicated to providing each bride with exceptional, enthusiastic, and entirely personalized service.

I found my dream dress!!!

My family and I have been loyal Vera's customers for years (for both wedding gowns and formal event dresses) and I got to have another fantastic experience yesterday as I found my dream wedding dress. From the moment I walked into the store, I felt comfortable and stress-free. Our consultant Tammy listened to when I wanted and knew the inventory well enough to find some absolutely amazing gowns! I was so comfortable putting my full trust in the Vera's team, and it paid off when I found the most amazing dress. I absolutely love this store and recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding or formal dress!!!

Felt like a princess

My mom, MIL, and myself went one Saturday to multiple dress shops. I tried on easily over 20 dresses. I felt like I was trying on Halloween costumes. I was wildly uncomfortable and honestly a little rocked at how weird it felt. The next weekend, I went alone to Vera’s. It was too close to order a dress, so I needed one that either fit perfectly, or was a little big. I was pretty defeated at this point, so the woman helping me helped me find 4-5 dresses of various styles. She came into the room with me and asked me which one I wanted to try on first. I chose my favorite. She had me turn around and when I was in it, she did a big reveal. I LOVED it. We went out into a more public area so I could stand on a step and see all around. Others, staff and customers, told me that it was absolutely the one. Once she put the veil on me, I was a puddle. We all cried and I left with my dress 20 minutes after my appointment time.

You Won't Regret Vera's

I brought my Vera's dress from WI all the way to the Rocky Mountains of CO :) Vera's was my first and only bridal appointment and it was the best experience ever! I'm not from Madison, driving almost 2 hours to be there and it was completely worth it. The store has 800+ gowns. My appointment was 2 hours - I tried on 10 dresses and the last one was the one! My MOH picked out the dress I ended up choosing! My consultant listened to everything I had to say about what I liked/disliked about dresses I tried on. I originally thought I wanted A-line/flowy, but I humored my MOH and tried on a more fitted gown and loved it, but my consultant suggested adding the removable tulle overskirt and that is what made me say yes to the dress! My consultant was down to earth, invested in my vision and happiness, and respected my budget. I ended up spending about $100 over budget (for the tulle overskirt!) but for my dream dress, it was worth it to me and I was not mad about it. I am lucky to not have had a single moment of dress regret as I bought it 2 years before my wedding.

Never Felt More Beautiful

Thank you Vera’s Bridal for helping me find my perfect dress. Margaret was amazing and listened to everything I wanted for my wedding dress. The whole process was smooth and hassle free. I drove 2hrs to Madison because of their size inclusivity and I’m so glad I did!

Pleasant Experience, Helpful Staff

Their teams is truly lovely. If you do not have a vision, they will help you find it! Every time they came with a dress and I had feedback, they were great about finding something that had the tweaks I was looking for.

They did a great job clipping and adding pillows where needed to make sure we got a good picture of what the dress looked like. Other boutiques do a disservice to the dress by clipping poorly.

Great holding period of 9 months which was just the amount of time I needed.

I recommend anyone near the Southern Wisconsin area to stop by Vera's for an appointent!

Great experience

I had a great experience from the moment I entered the store. I told Bridget what I was looking for and she pulled exactly what I was envisioning trying on. It was also fun to look through the dresses and other accessories to try on some more things. I found my dream dress here and couldn't have been happier! The dress came in pretty quickly too and picking it up once it was delivered was also very easy.

Highly recommend Vera's to anyone!

An Absolute Dream

Hands down THE place to go in Madison, or any of Wisconsin for that matter, for your bridal experience. Elle was my consultant and she knew exactly what she was doing. She catered to my styles both from my pre-appointment look book and during my appointment. She helped bring my Say Yes To The Dress dream to lift and I found my perfect gown.

The Perfect Bridal Experience

Vera's House of Bridals has a way of making every bride feel special and celebrated. With thousands of gowns to choose from, I found my perfect dress with my wonderful bridal consultant Eva.

Both my dress and veil were delivered in their expected times and I was communicated with through every step of the process. I used one of their trusted seamstresses that was recommended to me once my dress had arrived. All staff was attentive and wonderful to work with.

Thank you for the experience of becoming a bride and for making me feel so special and celebrated. I’m so honored to forever be a Vera’s Bride.

Can't say enough good things

Vera's helped me find the most beautiful dress, after a very long adventure that involved another bridal shop selling their store sample 1 hour before my appointment, when I'd made the appointment specifically to see said store sample. Vera's was able to almost immediately get a loaner of my dress from the designer, was very accommodating of my scheduling needs, and was able to get me THE dress with time to spare. The whole store is very well set up, with nice big rooms for brides to try on dresses in some privacy, the consultants were all very professional and delightful to interact with, their communication on status of dresses was outstanding. For anyone within 2 hours of Madison, WI, I would beyond recommend Vera's!

Amazing staff

Vera’s was the absolute best. I had a great experience finding my dress. Dixie helped me during my appointment and she went above and beyond for me. Whenever I asked about a dress she would go out and search for it. She made me feel so beautiful in every dress but she knew by my facial expression when I found the one. She was so personable and I would highly recommend requesting her! Thank you to all the staff that helped as well.
