I found my dream dress!!!

My family and I have been loyal Vera's customers for years (for both wedding gowns and formal event dresses) and I got to have another fantastic experience yesterday as I found my dream wedding dress. From the moment I walked into the store, I felt comfortable and stress-free. Our consultant Tammy listened to when I wanted and knew the inventory well enough to find some absolutely amazing gowns! I was so comfortable putting my full trust in the Vera's team, and it paid off when I found the most amazing dress. I absolutely love this store and recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding or formal dress!!!

Felt like a princess

My mom, MIL, and myself went one Saturday to multiple dress shops. I tried on easily over 20 dresses. I felt like I was trying on Halloween costumes. I was wildly uncomfortable and honestly a little rocked at how weird it felt. The next weekend, I went alone to Vera’s. It was too close to order a dress, so I needed one that either fit perfectly, or was a little big. I was pretty defeated at this point, so the woman helping me helped me find 4-5 dresses of various styles. She came into the room with me and asked me which one I wanted to try on first. I chose my favorite. She had me turn around and when I was in it, she did a big reveal. I LOVED it. We went out into a more public area so I could stand on a step and see all around. Others, staff and customers, told me that it was absolutely the one. Once she put the veil on me, I was a puddle. We all cried and I left with my dress 20 minutes after my appointment time.

You Won't Regret Vera's

I brought my Vera's dress from WI all the way to the Rocky Mountains of CO :) Vera's was my first and only bridal appointment and it was the best experience ever! I'm not from Madison, driving almost 2 hours to be there and it was completely worth it. The store has 800+ gowns. My appointment was 2 hours - I tried on 10 dresses and the last one was the one! My MOH picked out the dress I ended up choosing! My consultant listened to everything I had to say about what I liked/disliked about dresses I tried on. I originally thought I wanted A-line/flowy, but I humored my MOH and tried on a more fitted gown and loved it, but my consultant suggested adding the removable tulle overskirt and that is what made me say yes to the dress! My consultant was down to earth, invested in my vision and happiness, and respected my budget. I ended up spending about $100 over budget (for the tulle overskirt!) but for my dream dress, it was worth it to me and I was not mad about it. I am lucky to not have had a single moment of dress regret as I bought it 2 years before my wedding.

Never Felt More Beautiful

Thank you Vera’s Bridal for helping me find my perfect dress. Margaret was amazing and listened to everything I wanted for my wedding dress. The whole process was smooth and hassle free. I drove 2hrs to Madison because of their size inclusivity and I’m so glad I did!

Pleasant Experience, Helpful Staff

Their teams is truly lovely. If you do not have a vision, they will help you find it! Every time they came with a dress and I had feedback, they were great about finding something that had the tweaks I was looking for.

They did a great job clipping and adding pillows where needed to make sure we got a good picture of what the dress looked like. Other boutiques do a disservice to the dress by clipping poorly.

Great holding period of 9 months which was just the amount of time I needed.

I recommend anyone near the Southern Wisconsin area to stop by Vera's for an appointent!

Great experience

I had a great experience from the moment I entered the store. I told Bridget what I was looking for and she pulled exactly what I was envisioning trying on. It was also fun to look through the dresses and other accessories to try on some more things. I found my dream dress here and couldn't have been happier! The dress came in pretty quickly too and picking it up once it was delivered was also very easy.

Highly recommend Vera's to anyone!

An Absolute Dream

Hands down THE place to go in Madison, or any of Wisconsin for that matter, for your bridal experience. Elle was my consultant and she knew exactly what she was doing. She catered to my styles both from my pre-appointment look book and during my appointment. She helped bring my Say Yes To The Dress dream to lift and I found my perfect gown.

The Perfect Bridal Experience

Vera's House of Bridals has a way of making every bride feel special and celebrated. With thousands of gowns to choose from, I found my perfect dress with my wonderful bridal consultant Eva.

Both my dress and veil were delivered in their expected times and I was communicated with through every step of the process. I used one of their trusted seamstresses that was recommended to me once my dress had arrived. All staff was attentive and wonderful to work with.

Thank you for the experience of becoming a bride and for making me feel so special and celebrated. I’m so honored to forever be a Vera’s Bride.

Can't say enough good things

Vera's helped me find the most beautiful dress, after a very long adventure that involved another bridal shop selling their store sample 1 hour before my appointment, when I'd made the appointment specifically to see said store sample. Vera's was able to almost immediately get a loaner of my dress from the designer, was very accommodating of my scheduling needs, and was able to get me THE dress with time to spare. The whole store is very well set up, with nice big rooms for brides to try on dresses in some privacy, the consultants were all very professional and delightful to interact with, their communication on status of dresses was outstanding. For anyone within 2 hours of Madison, WI, I would beyond recommend Vera's!

Amazing staff

Vera’s was the absolute best. I had a great experience finding my dress. Dixie helped me during my appointment and she went above and beyond for me. Whenever I asked about a dress she would go out and search for it. She made me feel so beautiful in every dress but she knew by my facial expression when I found the one. They truly care about YOU!

Vera’s was the 4th bridal shop I visited while hunting for my dress. To say the 2 hour drive was worth it would be an understatement. I was so lucky to have Caitlin as my stylist. At other salons, I felt pressured to settle for dresses that I didn’t absolutely love. Caitlin assured me that we were going to find a dress that we didn’t have to fix in order for me to love. She was both respectful and realistic with my budget. She understood my vision better than I did myself & the first dress she put me in was the one! She was professional, confident, charismatic, and knowledgeable. She was so calm throughout the appointment which isn’t the vibe we experienced at other salons. I cannot recommend Vera’s enough. Caitlin you are incredible at your job!

Amazing dress shopping experience!

Vera’s Bridal was my first experience trying on wedding dresses. I had absolutely no idea what to expect but it was a great experience. Tammy took us to our room & explained the process. She pulled a wide variety of gowns based on my preferences to help me narrow down what I wanted. We tried on A LOT of gowns. Funny enough, Tammy helped me to discover what I was actually leaning towards verses what I had thought I wanted. She also gave me some great advice on how to know if the dress was “the one.” She was so wonderful to work with – so genuine & down-to-earth. While I ended up going with a dress from another store (Vera’s did not carry the line) – I am so grateful for Tammy & her advice. I would highly recommend Tammy & Vera’s Bridal to anyone looking for a beautiful dress for their special occasion.

Everything I could’ve asked for and more

I went dress shopping at another location the morning I went to Vera’s and I left feeling really disappointed. I decided to call Vera’s to see if they could get me in last minute, and they said yes, which I am so thankful for because Vera’s Bridal is amazing! They have SO MANY dresses, a big price range, and a wonderful staff. I was helped by Bridget, who was an absolute sweetheart and took time to get to know me, my fiancé, all the things I loved about a dress and she didn’t make me feel pressured when I didn’t absolutely love one. Her compliments and cheerful spirit made my shopping experience at Vera’s one I won’t forget and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Said Yes to the Dress at Vera’s

My wedding dress shopping experience was one and done at Vera’s. I loved that I could go through their catalog in advance and pre-select a few of my potential favorites. I had a great experience trying on dresses, tried on close to 10 dresses and they made sure I tried a variety to be certain about the style I had in mind. Dress was ready well ahead of time and got awesome service and advice when picking it up and trying it on before taking home. Loved my “classic and clean” dress! (Style B11151)

Vera’s is hands down the best place to find your dream dress. They have styles and budgets for all brides. I ended up wearing 2 dresses between my first wedding and wedding reception after COVID restrictions lifted, and I found both at Vera’s! Both consultants were amazing and went out of their way to help me find exactly what I was looking for!

Best Shopping Experience!

I cannot recommend Vera's enough. This was the only bridal salon I went to and it was all I needed. Tammy was amazing at helping me find the exact dress my heart wanted - and it had pockets! I booked the Luxe Appointment, so we had the entire store to ourselves, which was fantastic since the selection of styles is incredible! I'm not from Madison, but going to Vera's was 100% worth the 2 hour drive.

size inclusive, huge inventory

I had a rough time wedding dress shopping-- everywhere I went had no or almost no dresses in my size (16)... until I went to Vera's. They had a big selection in my size which made me feel so much better-- I'd been starting to feel that wedding dresses were not for women my size! I ended up buying an off-the-rack dress with a plan to add more coverage to the back-- and the seamstress I hired completely messed it up. I called Vera's in a panic 2 weeks before the wedding and they had me come in right away and Rhonda fixed it and made my dress beautiful. I am eternally grateful for her skill, professionalism, and kindness. Hopefully I'll never need another wedding dress LOL, but I highly recommend Vera's.

I purchased my dress here in mid-December of 2020. Tammy was my consultant, and I could not write enough wonderful things about her and my overall Vera's experience. I described the general feel and vibe I was looking for in my dress, and Tammy pulled winner after winner. She totally understood my style AND body type, and everything I tried on was beautiful. The only dress I didn't like on me was one that I picked out! This experience made finding MY dress even more exciting, because Tammy helped me feel the difference between dresses which I liked and looked good on me and the dress I wanted to wear when I marry my fiancé. Shopping with her really felt like shopping with a second mom. Tammy gave me kind, deferential, but helpful feedback which made the dress search completely stress-free. She also never pressured me to buy at any point and reminded me that I could always come back, which was so different from the pressure I had come to dread at bridal appointments. When I decided on my (gorgeous, unique, absolutely incomparable dress), she spent an additional half-hour testing out different veil styles with me. After we purchased, I inquired about bridesmaids appointments and Tammy took us right downstairs to the bridesmaids floor and put my little sister in the stunning navy blue velvet number that I've since selected for my bridal party. Start to finish, an unbelievable experience. I was so taken care of here, and buying the perfect dress in such a stress-free, welcoming environment was a bright spot to round out a very bleak year. Thank you Tammy, and thank you Vera's, for listening to me and making me feel beautiful! I cannot wait to show my future daughters photos of my wedding dress and tell them about the wonderful time I had selecting it.

Simply Amazing

I really appreciated that Vera's had dresses in bigger sizes. (I'm normally a 20-22). I didn't feel as if my choices were limited or that I couldn't find a style that worked for me. With Erika's excellent help I found THE dress that was exactly what I was looking for, and on budget. She even hugged me as I left the salon. I walked away elated. It was a shopping experience I wasn't expecting to be able to have as a bigger bride, but I'm so grateful that Vera's could make it happen.

The second easiest "Yes!"

I was first introduced to Vera's when I attended a bridal expo in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I was impressed by the wide selection of unique dresses. The woman working the booth was also extremely knowledgeable about the boutique and had a genuine love for the industry. I knew I had to schedule a dress appointment at Vera's. Although it was just my mom and me, my appointment was treated just the same as if I had a large group. We were in a spacious and comfortable room, the stylist took her time with us, and I felt special the entire time. Each dress that was being brought in was in line with my style, but with each dress, they got better. I was not only impressed by the beautiful designs but also the reasonable prices! I found the perfect dress to wear to my wedding reception, a sparkly Calla Balche. I twirled the night away in a dress that made me feel like a princess thanks to the passionate, friendly, and knowledgeable staff at Vera's Bridal. I highly recommend scheduling a bridal appointment at this wonderful bridal boutique!

Amazing and Accommodating!

I to go to Vera’s due to their large inventory and the ability to bring multiple people with me. When I arrived the front desk was very polite and allowed me to look at some dresses while I waited for lovely Erika to help me. She was so nice, patient and energetic! With having so many people in the room she made sure my opinion on the dresses were heard. Another thing I loved was that I didn’t have a time limit so didn’t feel rushed! I was able to try on soo many dresses and narrowed down to 2. She then encouraged me to try on both and walk around in different lighting asking different questions to verify I made the right choice for me. After I decided on dress and veil, I was sized, easily purchased and left. Afterwards when I came down from my high of finding my dress I was unsure of my order and called. They were so amazing! They told me they have my best interest and want me to feel comfortable with my decision and we’re able to pause my order! I then was able to come back in and try on my dress again! Jasmine helped me out this time and she was just wonderful and understanding! I did get the dress and I am soooo happy with with my whole experience! I’m going to recommend everyone to go there!

Can't recommend Vera's enough!

Vera's was amazing. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could!! The selection and price range of dresses blew my mind. I was looking for a white wedding dress with black lace detail, and Vera's was the only bridal shop I could find that stocked black and white dresses - I even tried on an all black dress while I was there. I filled out the lookbook before my appointment which helped me narrow down the styles I liked. Sahrita was an absolute doll and helped me rule out dresses that weren't right and also find my perfect dress at my initial appointment. Vera herself even stopped by while I was trying dresses on. Once my dress arrived at the store, I made another appointment and was helped by Lydia to try my dress on for the first time. She was also an absolute doll and I didn't want to take the dress off!! Both Sahrita and Lydia offered me some helpful advice, made me feel comfortable, and made the whole experience a blast. I was very impressed with the service and will be recommending Vera's to others. Thanks so much Sahrita and Lydia!!

Highly HIGHLY recommend Vera's House of Bridal!!

Let me start by saying that even before I left Vera’s House of Bridals, I knew I was having a once in a lifetime experience. My stylist, Tory, was INCREDIBLE. The first dress she selected for me was exactly what I told her I was looking for, in fact, it ended up being one of my top 3. Later I found out that she’s a buyer and it totally made sense because she knew the dresses so well. I was pleasantly surprised by the wide array of dresses (style and price-wise), many of which were up to date on the very latest trends! I saw more trendy, bohemian dresses than I did in Milwaukee bridal salons.

Tory saw me browsing through dresses (I’m super nosy) and was kind enough to let me try on as many as I wanted. She also gave me the advice to perhaps pick a “wildcard” dress because it could surprise me. I’m SO glad she said that because the “wildcard” dress ending up being the dress I’d say yes to! Tory took the time to clip/pin/adjust the dresses to give me the most realistic fit. She even encouraged me try on some dresses multiple times to refresh my memory (you’d be surprised how much you need to refresh your memory when trying on so many white dresses!!). She was so kind, so patient, so gentle, not a helicopter at all. She let me have alone time with the dresses. I never felt rushed or like I was being talked into something I didn’t want. I never felt pressured to buy a dress. The experience was better than I could have ever imagined. I will forever cherish the memories made at Veras.

Incredible

I truly don't think I could've gone anywhere that would've topped my experience at Vera's. I was so excited for my trip to Vera's after having gone with a friend for bridesmaid dresses and another friend for her wedding dress last year. My mom came up from the Milwaukee area for my appointment, and we were lucky enough to get to work with Saritah. She asked for pictures of what I had previously tried on and been interested in and made sure to ask questions to really grasp my dress/wedding vision. Saritah was the perfect guide; she never made us feel rushed (in fact, she stayed past close and never once let on that it was getting late), stepped in to help take pictures, offered real opinions, and asked the perfect questions to help me figure out what I really wanted to walk down the aisle and get married in. She even creatively suggested little additions to the dress to makes it totally unique to me, which was just icing on the cake.
I wanted to have a special day with my mother- and sister-in-laws-to-be to pick out my veil, so I called Vera's the following week to schedule a special Sunday appointment. I was told the person who usually did those appointments was unavailable but I'd receive a response the following day letting me know for sure. An hour later, Saritah called me back offering to come in that Sunday to make the special appointment happen. She made that experience beyond fun and so very memorable for me, my new sisters, and my fiance's 6-year-old niece (who will be returning for her flower girl dress soon!); she even gave my future niece "jobs" to keep her involved and entertained while we found my veil and tried on bridesmaid dresses. I can't say enough wonderful things about Saritah and the entire Vera's staff and store - THANK YOU to Vera's for making my dress shopping experience such a dream!!

This "off-beat" bride found her dress and more at Vera's!

I can only speak to the process of trying on gowns and finding the right one! The dress I purchased is ordered and will arrive later this year. I will update this review when the process is complete.

First thing's first. We arrived at 10:30am on a Thursday after the Christmas holiday. There were cars in the parking lot and definitely other brides-to-be in the store, but we were greeted right away and my name was taken for a walk-in appointment. The first floor has many sample designer gowns to look at but I only browsed for maybe 3-4 minutes until Liz whisked me away upstairs. I'm so impressed that we could walk-in to a place this reputable!

Liz was patient, helpful, courteous and fun! I immediately felt comfortable enough to be honest about what I am looking for in a dress and vulnerable about my lack of knowledge for bridal. Liz approached my search for a dress with all of her attention and care and took the time to work with and get to know my team as well (my mother and my maid of honor). She showed us to our spacious, clean and cute dressing room via the back room where all the dresses are. I appreciate how she went the extra mile to include experiential details throughout our visit. Tammy and Vera were also a big part of my visit to Vera's House of Bridals. Yes, THE Vera! When Tammy had the time to step in to help me choose 1 of 2 of my top picks, she did. I almost cried tears of joy and am surprised I didn't!

After all was said and done (including cute pics with the team), we had spent 3 hours at Vera's but it felt like it flew by! I never felt rushed and I really enjoyed my experience. Fun fact: I thought I would just drop in to "look" and figured I would find my dream dress in chicago... Liz, Tammy and Vera totally proved me wrong! I'm so excited to visit for my fitting appointment and to see Liz and the crew again! Don't miss out on Vera's House of Bridals. You may be pleasantly surprised by what you find!

Wonderful!

Vera’s was wonderful to work with! Everyone there was very helpful with finding the perfect dress and accessories to go along with it. My sales associate listened to what I was looking for and how I wanted to feel on the big day, making me feel special during this very exciting experience. It was definitely worth the multiple drives back and forth from Milwaukee! I would gladly recommend Vera’s to any bride-to-be!

Gorgeous Dress, Great Experience

What can I say? Vera's knows bridal gowns! We had such a great experience picking out a dress; I had quite an entourage, but they accommodated us easily and we had a blast! I couldn't be happier with my gown selection. Thank you Vera's!

Obsessed and Impressed

I made an appointment at Vera’s after reading the overwhelming positive reviews. This was my first time dress shopping and my visit was nothing short of spectacular.
Vera’s has a large variety of gorgeous dresses for every budget.
Dixie was my welcoming and knowledgeable consultant who patiently helped me try on each dress.
After she picked out the most beautiful veil to go with my dress, I knew I found the one!
Everyone in the shop was so friendly and the atmosphere was incredibly comfortable.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Amazing amazing!

Best service ever, from picking my dress to many alterations because I kept losing weight to the final pick-up everything was perfect. I had no budget for a dress but Veras did not let this change the dresses they showed me. I ended up falling in love with the lowest priced dress. They pay attention to making your dream dress come true and giving you a remarkable experience.

What an amazing experience!

Veras is the place to go! I hate dresses! This was actually one of my least favorite tasks and Veras made it a good time for me! I told them what I didn’t like in a dress and she would bring back something more beautiful each time!

Bought a dress

I just bought my dress yesterday at Veras. This was my second time trying on dresses and Saritah was my consultant, she was so wonderful and made the process so easy and fun. She pulled amazing dresses and knew exactly what my vision was, even though I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted. She picked out the perfect accessories once I found the right dress and I never felt pressured or hurried the whole time. She was engaging and thoughtful to my family who went with, but made sure my vision and opinions were what mattered. We even got to meet the owner Vera who came in during the appointment and made the whole process so special. I highly recommend going to Veras for anyone shopping for a dress, they have hundreds of dress in all price ranges.

Vera's Made My Dream Come True

If I could rate any higher for my experience, I would!
I had the most amazing bridal experience at Vera's. From the moment I stepped into the lobby I was greeted with warm smiles and congratulations. My consultant, Lydia was very knowledgable about all the dresses she pulled for me to try on and just understood how I wanted to feel and look on my special day. I can't speak highly enough about Vera's team. Even though I had Lydia's undivided attention, other consultants would pop their heads in and comment on how a dress looked, showered me with compliments and made me feel even more special. Vera even stopped into my room and offered some words of advice and was very helpful as well.
After I had my "Say Yes To The Dress" moment, my entourage and I headed downstairs to the bridesmaids area and found dresses for my ladies. Even though Lydia was being pulled in many directions and had an incoming bride after me she would pop in to check on us. Jolene and Rhonda also helped us as Lydia had to attend another bride.
If you want your bridal moment to be special, magical, light hearted, and all about you; go to Vera's. You will not be disappointed.

Tammy made my day!

I had been shopping around with my best friend and just couldn’t find my dress, you know... the one. I was about to give up but wanted to try Vera’s first. Thanks goodness I did! Tammy greeted me with a warm smile and told me she was here to help me find what works for me. She asked me to browse around and see what style worked for me. After picking a few dresses, she was able to pick up my style and recommend some key dresses based on my emotional reactions. I couldn’t believe when I found me dress. I was in tears. I truly felt that Tammy was brought into my life for that very reason and I will never forget her.

I finally said Yes to the Dress at Vera's

I tried on over 180 dresses, visited 11 stores, including one in Illinois, before I found my dress at Vera's House of Bridal. My dress is stunning, it was the dress that made me cry because I knew that was "The Dress", "My Dress". Alex our bridal consultant was one of the best consultants I encountered at all the stores I went to. She is the one who actually found my dream dress. She did not rush me and listened to what I had envision. Very sweet and caring girl. I couldn't be more happier with my choice to visit Vera's.

We had such a wonderful time choosing my dress at Vera's! It was incredibly busy there when we went dress hunting but Lydia, our top-notch consultant, never made me feel rushed or flustered. My experience with Vera's was completely random and not in the game plan, but all in a good way. I was out looking at flowers and bridesmaids dresses to come up with a color scheme and style ideas. Stopped at one other place with very poor customer service. Told my mom that we should just check out Vera's to see what they have for bridesmaids dresses and styles. Walked in to a very warm welcome! We were told about the designer sale rack and that she would have one of the ladies come down to help us out. Well....that help ended up being an unplanned appointment. I was not prepared and in complete shock. However we found a dress that I really liked while we waited for our help to show up. Went down and grabbed it right away and tried it on as the first dress. All other dresses we found did not match up to that one and I ended up walking out the door with it. As unplanned as it was I will say it was incredibly stress free and perfect. Thank you Vera's, you are a very wonderful group of ladies and keep up the amazing work!!!

So I heard of veras through my best friend, she had a beautiful dress for her wedding last year. Anywho I had
No clue what type of dress I wanted or style, literally all I had was my Pinterest pins of many different styles. I had Lidia and she was amazing. She really listened to what my likes and dislikes were with each of the dresses I tried on. She was very patient with me, I tried on about 5 dresses or so. So to begin, I must say it has taken completely too long for me to write this review! I LOVED my experience at Vera's and I wouldn't change a thing about it. That being said, this may be just a bit lengthy, but I don't want to miss anything!! My consultant was Bridget and my God is she good at what she does! Going into the appointment I did not exactly have any intention of purchasing a dress as I was going to have one custom made for me. So I was looking for ideas. Despite making that known to Bridget, she was very patient with me (and my entourage), answered many questions, and even showed me different styles of all kinds of things. She even gave us a first level room when my grandmother had trouble with the stairs. She styled my hair for a veil, did a mock bustle to show me what one may look like... I just felt SO pampered. I felt like a big deal. I felt like a BRIDE! After trying on maybe 5 dresses, and a sixth that was a ball gown style (because my Mom just HAD to see me in one), I left the store with lots of ideas and I felt so uncertain of what I wanted to do anymore. I live in North Carolina but am originally from Wisconsin so I traveled a very long way. So luckily we had lunch in the area, which gave me time to think about things. As we were heading out of town, I decided to go back. I called and Vera's was so kind to accommodate me! I returned where Bridget put me back into my favorite dress, spending about another hour with me, before I finally said yes!!! Then the seamstress came for my measurements where we discussed the bustle again, and even veil colors because I had hopes of having a dusty blue veil for my something blue. Once everything was settled, Bridget even patiently helped my 86YO grandmother select jewelry and a purse, pulling out different pieces, reading prices, and neatly packing her selected items for purchase. Every step of the way, their guidance, patience, and knowledge made ALL the difference, and I cannot be happier with my purchase

I had been to two other bridal stores before coming to Vera’s. After stalking a particular dress online, I made an appt at Vera’s to try it on. It was the first dress I tried, and I immediately fell in love. I tried on several more, but I naturally went back to the first one. I couldn’t be more thankful to have worked with Tammy and Jayme. Vera's was a wonderful place and very respectful! Tammy was very helpful during my time and she said there was no time limit or dress limit to try on. She would keep finding dresses for me to try on as long as I needed until I found the one or until I found a contender. Tammy helped me try on multiple dresses and eventually find my wedding dress!! Set aside an entire day to find my dress and it was the first one I tried on! Staff was super nice and helpful. Love that Vera herself came in to talk to us as well! I also love that they take your picture on the grand staircase when you say yes to the dress!!!! I got so many compliments on my dress. People kept telling me it was gorgeous (it was!) One cousin would like to steal it from me and the young girls thought I was a princess. Best feeling ever! Thank you Vera and staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh, I absolutely LOVED working with Vera's to find my perfect dream wedding dress and my bridesmaid's dresses. All of the Vera's staff were so helpful, so professional and fun. They made the entire experience very memorable and even more exciting! I loved how they would pick out the dresses for you based on your feedback and wouldn't rush you as you tried on each dress. I had very little idea in what I wanted in a wedding dress and they were somehow able to figure it out, which is so impressive!! I can't recommend Vera's enough! Vera's had an amazing selection in my price point. Plus, after a scary experience with a seamstress who quoted me for an alterations job 1.5 times the actual cost of my dress (!!!), I called Vera's and they fixed me up for next to nothing and make my dress absolutely perfect. Plus, they had amazing practical tips for the day of that made me and my bridesmaids a lot more comfortable and prepared! It was so, so worth traveling from Milwaukee to get my dress at Vera's!

Vera's was the first and only bridal shop I looked at for my wedding gown. After my first appointment, I tried on maybe 3 dresses, then canceled all of my appointments at other salons, and purchased my dream dress. Vera herself even approved and helped me pick my veil. My experience here was amazing! Everyone was super helpful and nice unlike some other places I went! They sell their dresses at MSRP so I got the dress I wanted for $400 cheaper than another place I went to first! The alterations by Bobby were amazing and she was really nice!

I purchased my dress about a year and a half prior to my big day. Vera's was absolutely professional and worked hard to find me my perfect dress! I was extremely thankful for the kindness they gave, as it is definitely important for someone with lower self esteem, especially when finding a wedding dress. They kindly held my dress for me up until 3 days before the wedding. I am so pleased with Bobbi, a woman in dress alterations, who helped fix minor details (but big details to me) to help the dress fit perfectly and make me feel absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend Vera's as the service is wonderful and well worth the investment and time traveling from wherever you're from!

I went into the wedding dress buying process thinking that I would need to visit at least 4-6 boutiques, try on dozens of dresses, and spend another month agonizing over which one would be the perfect dress. Vera's House of Bridals totally changed that! From the moment I walked in the door, I had a truly magical experience and walked out with my perfect dress. (Don't laugh! It's true!) Sarah was my personal assistant, and she was incredibly skillful at bringing me different dresses to try on. After only a few dresses, she was locked into what I liked and what I would be open to trying on. The sixth dress I tried on was the "WOW!!!" dress that I thought for sure would be the winner. But then she brought a few more just to compare, and I found the "perfect for me" dress that made me and my maid of honor cry once I put it on. I did not expect to have this kind of experience!!! But everything from the private room to the personal service to Vera herself coming in to ooh and ahh over me made this the perfect wedding dress shopping experience for me. If you are looking for a personal experience where you don't feel rushed and are made to feel like a beautiful bride, Vera's House of Bridals is definitely for you.

I initially was drawn to Vera's after seeing a gown at the wonderful world of weddings show that was absolutely gorgeous (and coincidentally ended up being the one). After two terrible experiences at other wedding shops, my mom, sister and I ventured the two hour drive to Vera's looking for the gown and experience - and I got both. My consultant spent what had to be 4 hours helping me in and out of dresses, trying out my gown three different times just to make sure I was getting it right. She was upbeat and friendly the whole time, and Vera was coming around helping where she could which was wonderful as well. I also ended up getting my veil and hairpiece here, because they were just too beautiful not to. Amazing selection and amazing consultants. 5 stars is just not enough!

I was so happy that I chose to go Vera's for my wedding dress. I had two different appointments at two different shops that day. Vera's was the first and as soon as I left the second appointment, I called Vera's because I wanted to go back and retry on a dress that I had looked at earlier in the day. They were super accommodating and allowed me to come back in and buy the dress that I wanted. I highly recommend going through Veras for your bridesmaid dress shopping.

I don't even know where to start about how amazing Vera's is! For one, there is just that family touch, Vera herself came and checked on me while I was trying on dresses. Also, their selection of dresses is awesome! More than anything their staff is top notch! I bought my dress on a Saturday and I was feeling a bit hopeless because I wasn't finding exactly what I was looking for so I made a decision based on what looked best on me. I should also share that I had been to a few places before Vera's. I had buyers remorse and knew the dress that was going to be ordered for me was nothing like my vision. I called right away on Monday and they were awesome! I went there again on Monday and met with Tory, she is so talented! She was very aware of what I wanted and put together things to make it what I wanted. I found my dream dress, it was the right price and I honestly can't say enough amazing things about Vera's. I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a great selection. I could go on and on about how awesome my experience is, they had rooms that had their own heating and cooling, so if you were cold, they could turn up more warmth, if you were hot, they could cool it down. BEST PLACE EVER!

other stores had left me pretty unimpressed with the whole dress experience but vera's totally changed that. we showed up completely on a whim, unannounced, -with kids!-, and they were so kind and great about it. I never got the impression that I was bothering them like I had in other places. kylee understood exactly what I had in mind and pulled my dream dress right away. she was absolutely fabulous to work with and the whole staff is great. love kylee, loved vera, love the beautiful atmosphere.... so glad we decided to stop!! a fantastic experience and highly recommended!

I had an excellent experience picking out my wedding dress at Vera's House of Bridals. The first time I went wedding dress shopping, soon after I was engaged, I went to Vera's just to see what was there. I tried on several gowns, and fell in love with one of them, but I thought I should keep looking, and see if I can find something better. I spent several months looking at wedding dress stores in Wisconsin and Illinois, and I finally went back to Vera's and bought the dress I fell in love with. The entire staff at Vera's is so friendly, professional, and helpful. They are a full-service wedding boutique, with a large variety of wedding dresses, bridesmaid and flower girl dresses, and wedding accessories. They also have fantastic seamstresses on hand to make all of your alterations. Even though I went to dozens of wedding dress stores in WI and IL, Vera's was exceptional, and made it a magical, memorable experience. I am grateful for their service!

Vera's was super flexible and awesome throughout my whole dress buying/fitting process. I had to have my dress altered dramatically (needed to add a corset to make it fit) and they reassured me everything would be fine. And it wasn't even as expensive as I thought it would be. I loved working with Vera's from day one! Tori was awesome at my first appoint trying on wedding dresses and pulled my dream dress right away. I didn't buy it right away, but knew when I couldn't stop thinking about it that I had to go back and Tori made time in her schedule again to help me try it on one more time and make sure they adjustments I wanted would be possible for the seamstress to do. Every fitting went so smoothly and they worked around my hectic out-of-town schedule fitting me in whenever I was in town for a day. Their seamstresses are great and love their little "boot camp" with my bridesmaids to show them how to lace up my dress and bustle it. Their service and quality is simply outstanding!

Shoutout to Vera's for providing an awesome dress shopping experience and helping me find the perfect dress. I wanted something simple, and a little different but not too weird for my June wedding in an art museum, and Tori listened carefully and found several amazing options. Once I picked the dress, Vera's was very helpful in explaining the next steps. The dress was ready ahead of schedule, and each of my appointments was thorough, professional and fun. I was not a super traditional bride so I was a little hesitant about the whole dress shopping experience, but I thought the service and professionalism at Vera's were amazing and I'd recommend them to any bride.

Vera's House of Bridal was the first bridal shop I visited due to previous reviews I saw about them. The reviews truly showed how wonderful the service and selection was. The service I received was phenomenal! With the help of the staff the third dress I tried on was the one! The biggest thing I was worried about was that I had chosen my dress very early, over two years before our wedding date. Vera's was amazing and held it for that length of time. When I came for my fitting's the seamstresses were awesome showing me how to sit, kneel, bustle my train and lace my corset! The fit, and length of my dress was perfect! I received so many amazing complements and can not wait to see my pictures! Thank you Vera's for helping me say yes to the perfect dress!

I scheduled two appointments to look for dresses and my experience with Vera's was by far the best. Upon arrival, my whole group of bridesmaids and my mom were greeted by Kayla and taken to a cozy room to have our own dedicated help. Kayla was a wonderful consultant and helped me find a beautiful, unique dress that I would have never even thought of. (I came in thinking I wanted a certain style and ended up buying something in a different cut - the dress was like no other I have ever seen, though there were plenty of more traditional gowns too!) I was pleasantly surprised by the selection, quality, and availability of dresses within my budget - all the gowns were amazing. The way they adjust the sizing of sample sizes was much better than using clips and gave a much better idea of how the dress really looks on a petite person.

I knew I found the one, thanks to Kayla's perseverance, but kept my other appointment at another salon. I came back immediately after because it just couldn't compete with Vera's. Even though our whole crew came back towards the end of the day, Kayla helped us yet again and was just as cheerful and patient as we swapped countless bridesmaid dresses to find the perfect match with my gown. The Vera's experience was so great we bought our bridesmaid dresses the same day!

Overall, all the staff were so kind, popping in to look at the dresses and adding additional input and compliments - Vera even stopped by regularly. The atmosphere and process was so wonderful - you really only need to go to Vera's to find exactly what you need!

Vera's staff helped me pick the perfect dress for my big day. Their staff was attentive and after I gave the consultant a few ideas, she found me my dream dress on the second try. I received so many compliments on my dress and I never would have found it without Vera's. They also had talented seamstresses who made my dress fit like a glove, but still provided me enough room to sit, breathe, and dance. They helped me feel so beautiful on my big day.

I had a great experience picking out my dress at Vera's! My dress was absolutely beautiful, the staff were wonderful, and the alterations were very reasonable. I especially appreciated their help when winter weather changed my plans! I was able to pick up my dress the night before I had originally intended so that I could leave Madison before a snowstorm hit. It was a wonderful place to buy a wedding dress!

Vera’s House of Bridals – I came back to Wisconsin from out of state to try on dresses with the rest of my family. My sister/maid of honor had been to Vera’s before and had rave reviews. I loved Vera’s – It wasn’t like other places where they let you lose in a sea of dresses, which to me seems overwhelming – picking out wedding dresses on a hanger is a little different than regular clothes and they look so different on the hanger squashed in a bag. Instead you are lead to a private changing room and are asked questions about what you like and what you want to try on. This was very helpful for me and by the 3rd dress our attendant was so good she had narrowed down exactly what I wanted and picked the perfect dress. I really liked this kind of help and attention. Vera’s was a wonderful boutique with wonderful attendants. I would definitely suggest a visit if you are in Madison or the state of WI – Heck I came in from CO and loved it!
