Ventura Botanical Gardens is a coastal outdoor wedding venue in Ventura, California. The gardens are situated in the downtown district above city hall and offer astonishing views of the surrounding landscape. The site contains two breathtaking spaces for couples to choose from, Summit Plateau and Rotary Plaza.

Facilities and Capacity

For couples desiring an intimate ceremony with their dearest loved ones, the Rotary Plaza accommodates up to 50 guests. Found within the exotic Chilean garden, this venue is characterized by refined eucalyptus trees and sights of the all-encompassing Pacific Ocean and Channel Islands. Alternatively, Summit Plateau offers a space for larger wedding parties to get together, accommodating up to 275 guests. Here, couples’ weddings can take place in a beautiful South African garden with even clearer views of the California coastline, islands, and agricultural landscape. For those desiring a cozier, more casual celebration, the welcome center is also available and can seat between 75 and 125 guests. Couples can request a romantic ballad from their chosen wedding band occupying the stage area while dancing under twinkling lights powered by the center’s electricity. To host their celebrations in the fascinating outdoor venues, couples are required to arrange transport to the site, water, waste disposal, and other such facilities.

Services Offered

Couples can begin setting up the venue of their choice the day before the wedding and can take care of cleanup the morning after. The gardens' dedicated staff allows them to use the site from 7am to 9pm on the day to exchange vows and celebrate with loved ones. They can also accommodate requests for additional days of rental to allow couples to set up the space to the best of their ability.

History

The Ventura Botanical Gardens arose as a unique and exciting concept among a team of local inhabitants in 2005. They conceived a plan to create a mesmerizing natural space that allows others to learn about exotic flora and take part in outdoor activities. The gardens aim to preserve and showcase plants native to a variety of Mediterranean climates.
