Elings Park

We got married at Godric Grove mid October and it was absolutely perfect.

Staff: Denise and the Elings Park crew were phenomenal. They were quick to respond to our many many questions and helped us work through several random challenges in the days leading up to our big day! They were overwhelmingly nice as we worked with them to dream up what our wedding would look like. They also provided us with a list of recommended vendors - which we ended up using for our lighting and DJ (shoutout to the AMS team). The Elings park crew cleaned up the entire space before our vendors arrived and we could tell that they really cared about us having an excellent day and that everything was set up nicely.

Venue: It is a magical place. We got so many compliments from our wedding guests asking us how we found this hidden gem in Santa Barbara (from locals nonetheless!). We used the amphitheater for our ceremony, the grass field for happy hour & dancing (we rented a dance floor & cocktail tables), and the deck for our dinner & speeches. We loved that this was a one stop shop for our whole wedding. The views of the ocean, the santa barbara hillside and the ambiance of the oak trees are highlights of this place.

Things you should know: As is the case in all of SB, the noise ordinance requires parties to be over by 10pm! It should be obvious, but it's worth mentioning that you will have to pay vendors to bring in everything for the wedding (tables, chairs, dance floor, lighting, speakers, etc etc). We had 150 guests at our wedding, so we opted to rent an restroom trailer from marborg as an additional option for our guests beyond the available restrooms. Also, a hot tip for folks planning an event here, we used Bill's Bus to get all our guests downtown at the end of our wedding and it really kept the momentum of our party alive (and minimized the chaos of everybody ubering at once).

All this to say, 10/10 we would 100% get married here again in a heartbeat. Elings Park is stunning. The staff are amazing. We are so thankful to have it forever be a part of our story.

We chose Godric Grove at Elings Park after visiting seven or eight popular Santa Barbara/Montecito wedding venues and it was by far our favorite venue. Elings is such a naturally beautiful park. It is really set up for events and if you’re imagining an outdoor wedding – this is the place for you. For one thing, Santa Barbra generally has phenomenal weather, which Elings really allows you to take advantage of, and for another Elings has the best views of Santa Barbara’s natural beauty that you could ever imagine. On one side you have the ocean and the city and on the other the mountains. In all the venues we visited we did not find a single other one that so classically captured what makes Santa Barbara such an idyllic place to get married. Working with the Elings staff was also very simple. You pay the balance in full to secure your wedding day and then you’re largely done. There is an amphitheater that many couples use for their ceremony and the actual grove is great for cocktail hour, while we used the deck for dinner. It’s really a great venue that maximizes space and allows you to have your guests flow around while staying centralized. The park also has great restroom facilities which means you don’t have to deal with porta-potties like some outdoor venues. One of the great things about Elings is that you also get the venue for the whole day once you rent it so you really can get your money’s worth by having your whole wedding at this one beautiful location. Overall I would say having an outdoor wedding here was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, it really made the day.

Godric Grove was the perfect setting for both our ceremony and reception. With ocean views on both sides of the park and plenty of room for guests, it provided an incredible response from all of our guests. The gorgeous trees created the perfect backdrop for everything.

Picking Elings Park as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made! We had our ceremony on the lawn and our reception on the deck in the Godric Grove. Because of the gorgeous scenery (mountain/ocean views ) I didn't have to go over the top trying to decorate because the space was already so beautiful!

This venue is just stunning. We got married in Godric Grove and our guests just raved about the beauty of the place. My husband and I fell in love with the spot the moment we saw it, and it certainly delivered! New management was very helpful, and incredibly responsive. Only snafu is with their sound vendor who has to approve you DJ/musician, but we simply dropped the issue and moved on. The place is great. Absolutely perfect spot to get married.

Its a beautiful venue! I received so many compliments. Everyone admitted that they had their doubts when I mentioned park, but once they got there, they thought it was wonderful. It has natural beauty and its lay out is ideal for a wedding ceremony & reception.

I had my wedding July 9, 2011 in the Godric Grove. It has separate place for the ceremony (the ampitheatre) and reception (lawn and deck). They're VERY flexible. You can do so much with this place. I was able to make my vision happen with the help of various vendors. Its true that it requires a lot of coordinating, but Predrag was very helpful.

We were so happy we chose Godric grove. The venue itself is very flexible except for the loudness of the DJ. We had DJ on the lawn with the dance floor right in front and they were able to max it out to the highest limitations. The music was definitely loud enough for the dance party. We had our ceremony in the amphitheatre, cocktail hour on the deck and the reception and dance floor all on the lawn. It was perfect! We fit exactly 200 seats not including me and my husband. The lawn also fit our 16x16 foot dance floor. Everyone keeps talking about what a beautiful venue it was. Other than the DJ you can use any vendor you want. You can set up after 9 am that day. You do have to be out by 11 pm and music out by 10 pm which is a bummer but that is how it is anywhere outdoors in SB.

We found the park nestled in the hills. Gorgeous views and a peak of the ocean. We were able to work with the catering company of our choice and bring in our own alcohol. Loved our venue choice! It made for some wonderful pictures!
