Seriously, Venticello is amazing! My husband and I couldn't be happier that we chose to have our wedding at Venticello. Becky is super accommodating and clearly loves hosting weddings! She was incredibly responsive and helpful during the planning process. She gave us great vendor recommendations and they did not disappoint! We stayed in the cottage in the days leading up to the wedding, so we were able to enjoy the view and pool all weekend long, which was beyond relaxing. Our guests were blown away by the house and view. Not to mention, many ended up jumping in the pool! Venticello is definitely a wedding gem!

It has been two weeks since my daughters wedding and I am still processing how wonderful it was from start to finish!! Venticello is the most amazing wedding venue!! Rebecca (homeowner) was such a pleasure to work with - fabulous ideas she shared but also open to our daughter and son-in-laws "vision" of what they wanted for their wedding!! The property is beyond gorgeous, the home truly makes one feel like they are in Tuscany, and the guest house cottage was just perfect for the bride, bridesmaids, and proud moms to spend the day together!! Rebecca was able to provide vendor recommendations and we were so pleased with all of the them - the caterer was beyond amazing (Skye and her wonderful team at Lila and Sage) - she has worked closely with Rebecca throughout the years so the entire process was smooth (especially for this "Type A" Mother of the Bride!!) and relaxing and FUN!! In addition, Murphy's is a wonderful town for guests to stay in - beautiful restaurants, shopping, wine tasting - very relaxing!! I can not recommend Venticello more highly - our guests (mostly from the Bay Area) have told us that this was the "Best Wedding Ever" and we AGREE!!

This place is breath taking. The moment I walked on the property, from my face my fiancé knew this was place we were getting married.

Becky , the owner, was a pleasure to work with. Planning a wedding over 3 hours a way was a challenge, but with Becky's help, letting me drop in to scope the property helped tremendously. Having the venue for Friday - Sunday, was weight off my shoulders. I was on the property Friday as rentals and lighting arrived. Saturday as things were getting set up, I was able to walk around and make sure things were going the way I envisioned.

Needless to say, this place is beyond breath taking. Every guest was beyond stoked, amazed, in awe at how beautiful and peaceful this place is.

Venticello is a true hidden gem. All of our wedding guests were blown away by the view and couldn't stop commenting about it and taking pictures. It definitely gave our wedding an awe factor.

Rebecca was such a pleasure to work with. She seems to love it when people enjoy Venticello, and is proactive in making sure everything goes smoothly and everyone has a great time. It is also fun to hear the history of Venticello from her, and how, as an artist, she designed the villa and built it from the ground up.

Rebecca has a close relationship with Skye of Lila and Sage Catering, who we used as our caterer and who was just amazing as well.

Our guests (who came from the Bay Area and from the east coast) also loved staying in Murphys, visiting the tasting rooms/wineries, and hiking in Big Trees State Park. Hotel capacity is somewhat limited - most of our guests stayed at either the Victoria Inn, or in airbnbs or VRBOs (the local Murphys Inn and Murphys Suites are ok but not ideal). We booked a shuttle (Linkline) to take guests to and from the venue on the day of, which worked pretty seamlessly. We also hosted a welcome dinner for all of our guests in Murphys Community Park the day before our wedding. The guest house was a great place for my husband and I to stay during the weekend, and was also a nice place for the bridesmaids and me to get ready in before the wedding.

We got married in mid-May, and had almost perfect sunny weather that was not too hot. It got a little chilly at night, so we had heat lamps and blankets.

If you're looking to have your wedding in the Sierra foothills look no further. This is it!

All I really need to say is "the view." I can't believe that Rebecca and her husband live here!! We decided to have our ceremony start at 6pm, which helped with the 4th of July heat. The layout of Venticello is perfect!!! We had our ceremony in the driveway, which felt extremely intimate. Make sure you don't have more than 150 total attendees or it may feel too cramped. We ended up with 147 total attendees which was the perfect amount. Rebecca encourages unique ways to use the property and she has a great working relationship with the local vendors. I highly recommend this place if you want your wedding to be he best that anyone has ever been to!!!

My daughter and son-in-law were married at the Venticello in August 2013. We chose this venue for its natural beauty, ambience, and weekend-long accommodations. The Venticello is both grand and welcoming. The grounds are lovely and the panoramic mountain view can’t be beat! We decided that expensive floral arrangements were unnecessary in such a setting. Guests commented that this was the most beautiful wedding site they had ever seen.

The guest house was ideal for housing the wedding party on Friday and Saturday nights, and for pre-ceremony preparations. We had an informal rehearsal dinner poolside, which was both convenient and economical. Becky is knowledgeable and helpful without being obtrusive. She offered many excellent suggestions and quickly responded to every need and request. She was also on-hand to supervise the arrival and pick-up of party rentals, the setting-up of caterer, dance floor, DJ, etc.

If the wedding day is likely to be hot, I would recommend providing guests with shade during the afternoon. It cools off nicely after sunset, but until then it can be uncomfortable.

Venticello was a wonderful dream location for our special day and Becky was great to work with and very accommodating.
