About

It all started in 1885 when a young man named Antonio Veniero left a small town outside of Sorrento, Italy and arrived here in NYC and got a job at a candy factory in downtown Manhattan. Nine years later in 1894 he opened his business (A. Veniero Confections)at 342 East Eleventh Street(our present location)and he then expanded his business by bring over Master Bakers from Italy. His wife Pasqulina bore him 7 children (4 girls and 3 boys). He won numerous awards starting in 1925, 1933 and 1939. He always had a belief that no matter what the price of his ingredients they HAD TO BE OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY! And we have not changed that formula to this day. There have been many Italian bakeries that spun off after Antonio passed away in 1931 and most have come and gone. His son Michael took over the business and then passed the business on to his cousin Frank Zerilli (our father) back in 1970. Our family is dedicated to only one thing and that is making the highest quality desserts, cookies, biscotti and cakes this side of the Atlantic! Please call us to set up a tasting with you're fiance and we promise that our price, quality and service will not be beat by any other bakeries here in the Tri-State Area. Come in and experience what all Veniero's Pasticceria has to offer you on you're special day. Remember we've been doing this for over 120 years at the SAME LOCATION and not many competitors can claim that! Ciao, All my best! Robert Zerilli Great Nephew of Antonio Veniero

Great cake with cannoli cream, rum and a photo on the top of the cake featuring our logo. Delivered on time and the value is excellent.

I utilized Veniero's bakery for my wedding cake. My husband and I purchased the vanilla sponge with bavarian creme filling with strawberries and whip cream frosting. The scroll that they created was beautiful. Even though the wedding venue provided a wedding cake, I wanted my favorite bakery on my special day. Every guest who ate the cake complimented my husband and I on the taste of the cake and how fresh the strawberries were. I highly recommend Veniero's not just for your wedding cake but for all occasions. Their cakes taste great.

Our wedding cake was delicious! Exactly what we wanted, and even prettier than we imagined! We sent pictures of designs we had in mind, and it turned out even better. Would highly recommend using this bakery based on service, quality and value!

What can I say There is a reason why Viniero's has been around since 1894. We got a four tiered chocolate cake with bavarian cream and butter cream icing. Priced extremely competitive and they delivered on time, piece of cake ;-)

Instead of spending hundreds of dollars for a tiered cake, we had already decided to get a flat one -- and for less than $75 we served our guests a delicious tiramisu from Veniero's. Everyone loved it, every crumb was eaten, and I'm so glad we didn't spend three or four times more for something less delicious.

Our cake was absolutely delicious -- we got a three-tiered chocolate cake filled with vanilla whipped cream, strawberries and bananas with vanilla whipped cream icing. Our guests gave it rave reviews. If I had it to do over again, however, I would have stuck with a very, very basic design for the outside of the cake. I chose a plain white whipped cream icing but asked that they put a few thin strips of dark chocolate across the tiers as a sort of abstract design. Shown a photograph of what we wanted, the baker was enthusiastic about it and seemed to understand what we were requesting. Unfortunately, he did not quite get it. What we got were some stripes of light brown icing -- not strips of dark chocolate -- wavering across the cake. The icing stripes did not look very professional, and did not coordinate well with the fresh purple hydrangeas we provided to decorate the cake. They did, however, do a nice job arranging the flowers on the top tier and around the bottom of the cake. While I was thrilled with the taste of the cake, I was very disappointed in its appearance. Oh well.

I chose Veniero's to make my cake because I knew I wanted it to taste good. I was right! The cake was delicious and relatively a value. They are probably best at simple designs... I had a very simple design and aked the florist to provide some flowers to put on top of the cake, which worked perfectly.

We ordered a round cake (no tiers) for our wedding of 36 people... Veneio's was great with delivering it on time to the restaurant for a reasonable delivery fee ($18) but we were slightly disappointed with how the cake tasted... It was white cake with cannoli filling and buttercream outside... But thn gain we didn't do a tasting beforehand and we probably should have
