Unforgettable Wedding Dinner

Our wedding catering with a pizza oven by Urban Crust was an absolute hit! The pizzas were delicious, cooked to perfection, and the variety of toppings satisfied every guest's taste. Loved the salad and crab cake balls as well. The catering team was professional, efficient, and added a fun element to our reception. Highly recommend for a unique and tasty wedding dining experience!

Eat well and be married!

We used to go all the time when we lived in DFW, so when we got married we knew we wanted to cater with Urban Crust. They provided appetizers, salad, and pizza for dinner, along with some additional wait and bar staff for us. Kali, the events coordinator, was so easy to work with! They accommodated some vegan and gluten-free guests and everyone really loved the food. We had the pizza truck come out to the venue and the chefs were so nice and let our photographer get a couple of pictures of us with them tossing pizzas in the background! I can't say enough good things about them for catering or dine-in-- if you have a large event, they're an absolute no-brainer!

I have eaten at Urban Crust many times before and never been disappointed! I was so excited to see that they catered for big events, so we choose them to cater our wedding. We have had so many compliments on the food, everything was so yummy! We had a selection of appetizers, the bread with the tomato relish and tapenade, urban chop salad and for our main course the beef tenderloin, roasted veggies and polenta. Everything was delicious and executed perfectly by the wait staff. The only criticism I have, really it’s my own fault, is the portions were quite small unlike the large servings at the restaurant, but I never did confirm what the actual size of each portion was. None the less there was plenty between all of the courses, cake and desserts, no one left hungry!! The wait staff did a fabulous job bringing the food out quickly, cleaning up in between, and were always friendly and professional. Monica was wonderful to work with, she always responded quickly to emails and was very patient as we figured out exactly what we needed. Many thanks to everyone at Urban Crust that made our big day so wonderful!

Monica and her catering team were amazing the night of our wedding. They did so much more than we had bargained for. They made handmade wood fired pizza in a portable brick oven driven directly to the venue. The chefs, servers, bartenders and of course Monica herself were a phenomenal team. They made pizzas, served beer and wine, cut my cake, and helped clean up after the guests departed. The pizza is always delicious this is why frequent they restaurant in downtown Plano, TX. Thank you guys for your incredible work and making our evening run smoothly.

The food from Urban Crust was pleasantly surprising. We ordered stuffed chicken, filet, green beans, and mashed potatoes. It was delicious, and our guests were very happy. The restaurant delivered our food and helped set up our buffet. Urban Crust also offers servers and clean up, but we did not use them for those services. The cost of the food was SUPER! I feel like we got a really good deal with the amount of food that we had. Monica, the catering coordinator, was very nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Urban Crust for catering your event.

We really enjoyed the food from Urban Crust during our tasting. Honestly, I can't rate the food during the reception because I was too excited.
This vendor partners with a sister company Rooftop Event Spot for the events. We only had our reception with them. I used basically the same review for both vendors because I'm not sure exactly which vendor is responsible for the few mistakes we encountered. One item that I am sure the caterer is responsible for is concerning the cocktail hour appetizers. We ordered these knowing that the guests would be hungry upon arrival. However, when my husband and I sat down with our three children at the head table to eat, they brought over about 10-20 pieces each of the jumbo shrimp cocktail and stuffed mushrooms. We didn't eat nearly half of these. It didn't make much sense as to why they would "save" this many appetizers for us. The reception went well, but there were a few simple things that were not done or followed as we had asked. We had an open bar and the fees for this and the catering were rather high and included hourly wages and 18% surcharges for the catering. Therefore we asked that they not have a tip jar at the bar. We had to ask to have the tip jar removed. There was a box to drop cards in (potentially containing cash) and we specifically did not want it at the entrance where it would be out of view by all guests and me and my husband. This was not followed. Then the person I coordinated the venue with, who sat in the same office as the catering coordinator, was not there. There was another lady there helping, and while she was very nice, she didn't introduce herself and we were surprised that the missing coordinator did not let us know that she would have someone else there in her place. Other than that, I was told the food was good and the venue is beautiful. I would recommend this caterer for your event.

The food and atmosphere are perfect for a rehearsal dinner. We rented the middle floor and ordered multiple food options for everyone. The service can be slow but worth the wait. It also has a roof top bar, it's a fun option for the wedding party at the end of the dinner.

I have been a little hesitant to leave my review for Urban Crust. There were a few things that went wrong:
1. We had brought in Chick-fil-a platters as a snack. The groom put a platter on the bar, and the bartender said "I just cleaned this off, don't put that there!". That's not an acceptable way to talk to anybody, yet alone the Groom!
2. The worst thing!!! The bartenders put out a tip jar. I specifically said "NO tip jar", when we were discussing details. We spent a lot of money paying for servers/bartenders ($1,260) and paid a tip ($288.60). There should have NEVER been a tip jar, but there were two on the bar. The bartenders kept emptying most of the money out of the jar and leaving a few dollar bills in, so people would tip. Completely unacceptable!!
3. The bartenders were telling people we were out of drinks when we weren't.
4. The bartenders had no idea that we had a signature drink(the sorento, a drink from Urban Crust that you recommended), until it was mentioned to them.
5. The bartenders were telling guests the bar was closed at 11:15, when we paid for them until 12.

The food was great, the problem was clearly the servers representing Urban Crust. I have provided this information to the catering manager (Monica), so hopefully this will not happen to another client.
