We loved the Interfaith Chapel. It meant a lot to us to be able to come back to where we met and get married. The coordinators were amazing. They were professional and responsive and available on the day to keep the ceremony running smoothly.

We had our ceremony at the Interfaith Chapel on the University of Rochester campus. The chapel is absolutely beautiful, and is set in a park-like setting along the Genesee river. There is an entire bridal suite for the bride and her girls to relax and get ready before the ceremony. There is also a private room for the groom to collect his thoughts. They are quite specific on the time you can arrive (you pick the time slot at contract signing) and when you have to be finished, but it was definitely ample time. They offer shuttle and valet parking which we took advantage of because there isn't a parking lot directly next to the chapel. The University set up sandwich boards directing our guests where to park and where the chapel was when first entering the campus. Of course the campus itself is a beautiful old brick and ivy campus with the chapel on one end of a center quad directly across from the gorgeous Rush Rhees Library. May-June is the perfect time to see the campus because of the lushness of the flowers and greenery. We had our pictures taken on the steps across from the chapel with the library in the background as well as in various spots on the quad and inside the library itself - which has great marble stairways - perfect for a big wedding party (we had 22!). Due to the school schedule, I would only recommend this location in the summer months between mid May and mid August. Outside of that you will be battling college kids for parking and photo ops. They also give a significant discount if you work for or attend the University!

The only drawback to this venue is the time crunch. I was able to get in a hour early for my 10am wedding, which gave me from 8am to 11:15am to take pictures and have a wedding. It was a little bit rushed, but after the service the campus is beautiful. If it wasn't for the pouring rain, I would have taken my entire wedding party to take pictures across from the chapel. The chapel is beautiful and I did very much enjoy my wedding at this site.
