Very disappointed! I chose Tribeca Color Salon for my wedding day hair and makeup because it is a fun and treny salon that I thought would give me a nice modern updo and I also liked that they used Mac and Trucco makeup. When I went in for my pretrial, I was happy with the salon and the service. However, on my wedding day I was very dissatisfied and would recommend you to look else where.
The salon called me to find out where I was because they screwed up the appointment time from what they had told me. I was told 12:30 and they were calling me at 12:00. When I get there, they take my bridesmaids and mom into the chair before me. (I think the bride should be started on first, to make sure there is enough time to get the bride done-which has been a standard practice in the 5 weddings that I have been a bm for. ) So I waited until 2:00pm before they started on me-so they kept the bride waiting for 1.5 hours and they only had an hour to do both my hair and makeup!! I had repeatedly told the salon that we must be out by 3pm-I stressed this point even when the appointments were being setup. I was not happy about waiting so long, 1.5 hours is ridiculous and unacceptable! Especially when my hair stylist was just sitting there chatting with a friend-he did not have a client that he was working on. It was no like he was behind and running late with a client before me, just chatting away while the minutes ticked by.
Finally, I get into the chair and now my makeup and hair were rushed because they only had an hour to do the bride. When I see my hair finished, it is not up the quality nor the style that was done in my pretrial! And there was no time to fix it because I was still sitting in the chair at 3:30, 30 min after I needed to be out of the salon! My hair did not look professionally done at all!
I was very disappointed with the whole experience. The service was poor, bad time management skills, and overpriced for what I received..even worse than the cheap walk-in type salons. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.
