About

Trail Lake Lodge is a wedding venue located in the town of Moose Pass, Alaska. Ideally situated on the Kenai Peninsula, this idyllic property is known for its stunning views, delicious food, and friendly hospitality. The historic lodge is nestled on the shores of Trail Lake, where the Chugach Mountains create a breathtaking backdrop to celebrations of love. Numerous outdoor activities draw nature enthusiasts to the area, where hiking, kayaking, fishing, and floatplane tours are plentiful. Just 30 minutes from Kenai Fjords National Park, this venue makes for a beautiful setting for weddings and an alluring destination for couples’ guests.

Facilities and Capacity
The pavilion and east lawn at Trail Lake Lodge are excellent spots for soon-to-be-newlyweds to host their ceremonies and receptions. The east lawn is a large grassy knoll with wildflowers and surrounded by tall lakeside trees. The burl wood pavilion holds 50 guests for sit-down dinners and 75 for more casual affairs such as hors d'oeuvres and buffets. Large parties are welcome and can be served on the lakeside deck and lawn, where tents can be erected. The lodge can also accommodate up to 50 guests for overnight stays in rusticly-appointed queen and twin rooms, meaning the wedding party can stay together over the weekend. A full restaurant and bar are also on-site for guests to enjoy hearty meals and local brews during the festivities.

Services Offered
For reception dinners, the in-house restaurant will provide custom dishes created with local ingredients designed to highlight the flavors of Alaska. The chefs’ specialties include fresh Alaskan salmon, 100% Angus beef burgers, “peninsula famous” cinnamon rolls, and homemade rhubarb, blueberry, and apple pies. All meals can be tailored to accommodate the budget, tastes, and preferences of the newlyweds. The property also features a firepit where visitors can roast s’mores at a welcome party or enjoy drinks late into the night. The staff describes its service less as “white glove” and more “field gloves and warm mittens”, capturing the outdoorsy and adventurous spirit of the venue. Along with weddings, Trail Lake Lodge welcomes engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, and post-nuptials brunches to its gorgeous lakeside setting under the vast Alaskan sky.
