With all the craziness that goes along with planning a wedding, the decisions a couple makes with regard to their vendors is an essential part of the process. After meeting with Todd at his home in Westchester, choosing him as our photographer was an easy decision. We could tell right away that if the end result matched his enthusiasm, he would turn out a beautiful finished product. His passion as a photographer, after so many years working at his craft, was evident. He was diligent, professional and caring thru the entire wedding, making us feel comfortable every step of the way. We are so happy we found him and would highly recommend him. By the way, the pictures did turn out beautifully....and he has a great sense of humor to boot.

We have hired Todd Shapera for both of our sons bar mitzvahs (May 2018 and March 2020) we have also hired him for our temples gala (May 2019). Todd is a master at the art of photography. In regards to our bar mitzvahs he is professional, artistic and easily engages with the child he’s photographing and the entire family. He is swift and detailed! He gets all the shots but never misses the special moments that only an engage photographer captures. One of the qualities we like most is while Todd blends in to the ground his positive energy and demeanor brings out the best of the guests. He is charismatic and fun and brings the guests loved to be photographed by him. When we hired him for our temple gala which was a totally different vibe then the bar mitzvahs Todd was a true partner and collaborator. His suggestions based on the crowd was spot on. Todd photographed a sophisticated black and white photo booth. We look forward to hiring Todd again for December 2024!

Todd did a shoot for our wedding at Tarrytown Castle. We met with him in person, months before the event, and he got our vibe. His work as a journalist helped convey our story, and it showed in the pictures.
We did the obligatory family shots (LOVE), and lots of candid moments. Looking at the pictures (QUICK TURNAROUND!), it was fun to see us how we are, just, at our wedding! Surprise shoot at the pool around dusk was a pop hit!

Todd is not only an event photographer but a true artist. From the time I met him the 1st time and he showed me some of his photo journalist work as well as wedding & Bar & Bat Mitzvah work, I knew he was the one I wanted to hire. He has a calming yet professional presence and wants to satisfy his customers. There were so many niceties and so much attention to detail along the way. When I signed the contract to have him do my daughter’s (Bat Mitzvah) event, he gave me a pack of blank cards with beautiful photos from some of his travels. We planned the pre-shoot for a day in August as the Bat Mitzvah was in October 2018 and when it turned out to be an excruciatingly hot day, he was flexible and offered to pick another date. We stuck with the scheduled date and he made it work by doing the initial photos indoors and then moving outside after 5:00 once it had cooled down. On the day of the actual event, he was amazing! He was there for the family photos @ the temple early and then had his assistant stay towards the end to capture the actual service so he could set up @ the venue space. He took the most amazing photos of the Hora with a panoramic lens. He captured so many of the unscripted, candid moments by being unobtrusive. He delivered the proofs and the flash drive in a timely manner and everything was packaged beautifully. Later, he guided me through the album process and he helped me create the most beautifully tasteful album all without rushing me or being pushy. He is a true professional, extremely talented and a kind and creative soul too. I highly recommend Todd.
