We just posted and sent family and friends the pictures from our wedding and they keep saying they're the best they've ever seen! I met Timothy and Lydia when they worked with my sister during her wedding. We were so impressed by their professionalism and their skill that we recommended them to several friends afterwards... when it came time for our wedding, there was no question who we were going to use as our photographers! Their timelines are definitely fair given the hard work and dedication they put into capturing such precious memories. We highly recommend Timothy if you're looking for a photographer with a unique style, who is passionate about his work, and who will always make you feel comfortable during a time that can get pretty stressful :) We couldnt recommend them more highly and can't wait for our next event to share with such a lovely couple and team.

Working with Tim & Lydia was a dream--they were relaxed and gave us our space in the months leading up to our wedding and most importantly, they gave us space on the day-of. That made us feel like persons having an intimate day instead of models undergoing a photo shoot! Tim & Lydia interwove themselves perfectly into the fabric of our day, and were very kind, too. Plus they both have a great sense of humor and were totally at ease amongst our rowdy party-guests! That counted for a lot.

And of course, we haven't even touched on the photos themselves--what is there to say? How to describe such poetic, intimate pieces? There is one photo of my mom smiling up at us from her pew, and I look at it and know that I'm looking at her soul, right there on her face. It is striking and beautiful to see people's hearts so closely captured. Lydia & Tim are one of the very few wedding vendors that we've seen to be capable of this. timothy was wonderful to work with as we were looking for a documentary styled wedding photos, they were professional, shot amazing photos and lots of them. we are now working on a wedding album with timothy and his wife lydia. really great people and easy to work with a definite recommendation.

We were married in Oct 2011 in downtown Manhattan, and it was a beautiful 12 hour event which Tim and Lydia meticulously captured. After interviewing 12 different photographers within a wide range of fees, experience and style, we decided on Tim and Lydia because of their ability to capture some of the most private and heartfelt moments without compromising their unique photo-journalistic style. In addition, they work seamlessly as a team, so you are not getting an assistant but a pair of talented people who take tremendous pride in their work product and you know you are in good hands. Tim stayed with my girls and me at the venue while Lydia met with the boys at a barbershop in the East Village during the preparations and they stayed until the last dance. Never did they make their presence known, they were just there, silently observing and quietly capturing all the moments. At the end, when I look though the photos, it's both overwhelming and emotional, its almost like watching a gorgeous silent film. Their professionalism exceeded our expectations and was noted by all of our guests and we are so happy that we shared our special day with Tim and Lydia.

Tim photographed my wedding in Montauk. The wedding was on the small side- 75 people- however he somehow managed to take the most beautiful documentary-style photos in every type---color, black and white, digital, film, panoramic, etc.---ALL BY HIMSELF!!! He did an incredible job. The one thing I did not want in a photographer was to see them throughout the ceremony and all over the place--I hate when weddings feel more like a photo session instead of an actual wedding. I honestly never even noticed Tim was at the event, and then I walked away in thousands of the most gorgeous pictures I could ever ask for. He was amazing and worth every penny.

I hired Timothy Lee as the photographer for my wedding. My experience was mixed. Like the two previous reviewers, he delivered the photos to me late (but not as late as the previous reviewers). My wedding was on August 20th. Our contract stated that he'd deliver the photos within 30 days after the wedding. But, I received them on December 9th. My wife and I sent him e-mails many times inquiring about when the photos will be ready. And, Tim would be mostly unresponsive. This caused my wife and I a good deal of stress as we weren't sure what we needed to do to get our photos.

However, once we finally received the photos, we were blown away by the quality. My wife and I wanted "in-the-moment", candid pictures and that's exactly what we got. We had some posed photographs but the majority of the pictures were un-posed and they beautifully capture the spirit of our wedding. It was exactly what we had hoped for.

Tim & Lydia photographed our wedding event and were both quite pleasant to work with the day of the wedding, but the service afterwards was horrible. Tim was our primary contact and was incredibly slow to respond to emails and phone calls; and when he did feel like responding with updates, it was one excuse after another - he even went as far as stating we did not respect his artistry. We did not end up getting any photos until 11 weeks after our wedding, even though his contract stated six. For our final album, we even had to tell him exactly which photos to put in the album (even though his contract stated otherwise). The end process of working with him was a struggle and huge disappointment, I would not recommend him to anyone.

I got married a little while ago and have been so frustrated with this photographer. When I met tim he showned me some of his best work. I made the mistake of not asking to see albums. I like his style and his laid back personality. My expereince up unitlt he wedding was pleasant enough. Tghe quality of work I got back and the hassle to get my images bask was the owrst experience ever. There is not one decent photo of my husband and I. All the wedding party photos were taken in the bright sun so everone was washed out and squinting. The images were such poor quaility. To get our album took 2 years. It was 2 years of my husband and I reaching out to Tim with no response. Once he had our money he disappeared. When it came time to us getting our images and album it was like trying to find a person on the run. Over several months we sent numerous nice emails and phone calls with no response not even a i reeived your message and need more time. In order to find him we had to get tricky. we sent him an email as a new client looking for a photographer. You know what in 10 minutes we had a response. We set up a meeting as a new client and showed up to meet him. He was stunned but then became very responsive to our communicaiton. it still took severage more months to get our pictures and albums but we fianlly got it. the album was horrible it was photos pasted on in a book with thin paper pages. Very cheap. we were so frustrated with him that just took what we were given and and left to do everything ourselves. Stay away ..there are so many better photgraphers out there who care about the cleints they work with and understand how importatn a wedding is to someone.

I was very disappointed with my photos from Tim Lee (poor quality, many blurry/out of focus, dark and backlit photos, un-retouched, disorganized final presentation, failure to deliver the hi-res files I paid for, etc.). I nevertheless tried to be reasonable and give him the opportunity to review and edit the photos and come back to me with a new set. After agreeing to do so in a month, he requested more time, which I gladly gave him. After several similar requests and extensions, he stopped answering my calls and emails altogether. Here I am 2 years later with NO wedding photos - the one aspect of my wedding preparations that I cared most about! To say I am disappointed and angry is an understatement. DON'T make the same mistake on your special day!! If I could do it over again, I would hire an experienced, professional photographer with an established practice - NOT Tim Lee.
