Tim Otto is simply amazing! We used him after 2 sets of our friends used him for their weddings and loved him. Tim shot our wedding (which included a couple of locations), and he was truly incredible. His photographs are wonderful; his coloring is great; he doesn't upcharge; and he's honestly just so fun to be around--we never thought that a photographer could make a wedding better and more fun. But Tim did it--his relaxed and fun vibes really added something to the mix, eased any pressure, and just made things more enjoyable. This is a really awesome thing, because I've been in weddings where the photography definitely feels like a chore. We couldn't be happier having worked with Tim, and we wholeheartedly recommend him to our friends (and you)!

Tim is absolutely amazing. We worked with him for both our engagement and wedding photos. My fiancé was very nervous for the engagement shoot because we don't get our photos taken often. But Tim made him feel so comfortable right away which made the photos turn out even better than we could have imagined. He keeps it light and fun while still taking amazing photos! He has amazing suggestions for specific types of photos and also is more than happy to take any photos you have in mind.

We will definitely be using Tim for all of our future photography needs and would recommend him to anyone that needs a photographer!

If I could give Tim more than 5 stars I would! Tim is such a pleasure to work with. He is kind, empathetic, and easy going. I first met Tim in 2020 at a Wedding Convention in San Diego. I was lucky and won his raffle for our engagement shoot! After spending the afternoon with him in Balboa Park my husband and I knew that Tim was the right photographer for us. We didn't even hesitate to book him. Our wedding was originally scheduled for April 2020 and ultimately had to be postponed for 2 years due to COVID. We changed our date 4 times until ultimately we landed on April 2022. Throughout the entire process, Tim was so kind and understanding.

For our actual wedding day, he made the process of taking pictures so enjoyable and fun for us and our wedding party. My husband is not a fan of taking pictures and I felt that Tim and Patricia did such a great job keeping him comfortable throughout the process.

His sneak peak photos were absolutely stunning and I can't wait to see the rest of the photos in a few weeks. If you have not yet hired a wedding photographer please reach out to Tim. He is an exceptional photographer and person. We loved him so much that we plan to do all of our future photo opportunities with him!

I can’t imagine having anybody else shoot our wedding than Tim. He is so easy to work with and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera when we definitely weren’t! I love that Tim always keeps the energy up when he is behind the camera. He is willing to go anywhere and get dirty for the perfect shot and can always find the best lighting. Tim did a great job during our engagement photo session and the photos we got were amazing!! He was willing to lay down in the sand to get the best shot and he was so enthusiastic with every shot he took! On our wedding day Tim came ready to go! He worked really well with our videographer and was comfortable taking control with our first look and family photos. We got our sneak peek photos a couple days after the wedding and they are AMAZING! We can’t wait to get the rest of them back and relive our special day!

Tim took absolutely breathtaking photos. We could not be happier. He is creative and gifted and documented our special day more perfectly than we could ask for. We initially met him for an engagement photo shoot on the sunset cliffs, which gave him the opportunity to see how we interact and for us to get to know him. Even though that day was cloudy and not ideal he made it work. Both the wedding and engagement photos are wonderful and document such special memories for us. In addition, he has a wonderful easygoing personality and was fun to talk to.

Tim did the engagement photos for the couple and made them a book of engagement pictures that are a lifetime keepsake. We cannot wait to see the wedding pictures. He stays focused on the couple during the wedding ceremony and reception and is sure to blow them away!

Tim was great! We originally found him as a recommendation from The Prado (our venue). We figured that Balboa Park would be very busy during a holiday week and wanted a professional who was familiar with the park. After reviewing his portfolio and realizing a friend used him and their photos were great, we set up a meeting with Tim at his office/studio. Not only was Tim easy and fun to be around, the photos are AMAZING! We just got them and cannot get over how incredible they are. Everyone we have shared them with is impressed as well. Tim makes being the subject of a photo more enjoyable than I have ever experienced. He helped my husband and I stay calm, enjoy ourselves, and captured the best photos I’ve seen of either of us. I couldn’t be happier with the photos we got – the pictures of us, our families, the celebration and the details are all superb!

The photos from Tim and his associate took on our wedding day were absolutely beautiful! He is very personable and professional. He offers different services and has packages that works great for any budget. He is so enthusiastic which is very infectious. I never felt pressured in taking photos and he makes you feel very comfortable so in turn the photos turn out great. Not once did I feel awkward with taking photos. He actually encouraged me to pose while I was feeling quirky. He also had a lot of great action shots during the ceremony and reception. I highly recommend Tim as your wedding photographer. You will be happy with the results!

Tim was great to work with! You can truly tell he loves what he does and is amazing at it!!! He made my fiancé and I feel very comfortable for both our engagement pictures and wedding photos!!! He did a Great job at directing us when needed but making the photo look natural!!! And great with candids too!!! So glad we chose Tim and Venus(his assistant)!!!

Tim photographed my two best friends wedding-- so when it came down to choosing a photographer, there was no question I was going to hire him. From start to finish Tim was available and responsive. He has ideas of where to shoot and brings an amazing energy to the day. We flew in from NYC to have our wedding in San Diego and I recommend him to brides out in New York because he is worth flying out!
