Marc was a fantastic DJ at our wedding. We gave him lists of songs, artists, and genres we liked (we have pretty eclectic taste) and also a list of "do not play" songs, and he did a fantastic job picking the mix from those guidelines. He also pulled out an awesome instrumental version of a rap song I told him I liked and played it during the cocktail hour. It was great! When I told him we didn't want the first dances to be too long, he was really helpful and arranged a way for us to dance as long as we wanted and then he'd fade the music out. He made sure all the equipment worked during the setup time and he had backup options if anything happened, which is key to a great event. Best of all, he did a really nice job of facilitating a smooth event and a great party without making himself the center of attention. Thanks a million, Marc!

Marc was more than a DJ - he was our professional wedding entertainer - he took care of the sound system during the ceremony, the DJ-ing during the reception, and actually did a lot of the orchestrating/coordinating of the day's events and became our liaison with the venue. He really took a lot of stress off my husband and I for the day. He was so easy and fun to work with. Our wedding was almost 4 years ago, but some of my guests still remember Marc and the fun night he put together for us. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Marc is amazing and provided us with an unforgettable and awesome DJ service on our special day! We couldn't have picked a better DJ and we were so pleased with his professionalism and organization, everything went smooth and the music was the highlight of our day!

My husband & I hired Marc to DJ our outdoor summer wedding and were very pleased with the services he provided on the big day. He interacts with guests well and makes sure things are running smoothly. The ceremony music he provided was flawless and the cocktail music he chose truly brought our wedding to another level of elegance. During our event he was professional and lively.
Unfortunately we were displeased with his responsiveness prior to the wedding. I had many questions & requests the week of my wedding (as any bride who is planning her own wedding would) and his responses were sparse, short, and lacking in professionalism. I had to contact him just a few days prior to our wedding to schedule our final details meeting despite being told he would get in contact with us 2 weeks prior to the event to finalize details. I requested 5 or 6 songs be played during our reception that were important to our wedding party and they were never played. I asked him to change our precessional song and he said it would no problem however when we received the final line up schedule I noticed he hadn't changed the songs I requested. This made me concerned that he was disorganized and not making note of the needs of his bride & groom. On the single phone call we had he was short and seemed annoyed. I understand that dealing with flustered brides can be stressful but I believe that comes with the job title of a wedding vendor and those who choose these professions should be accommodating. Although Marc has excellent mixing & MC skills I was over all left stressed and sometimes worried that he had forgotten about our wedding all together on a few occasions. If you are planning your own wedding the last thing you want to do in the week prior is be reminding the DJ to do his job.

THIS DJ IS A SCAM ARTIST!!! Just like Stacy said about her 8/31/14 wedding, this guy had us a sign a contract and take our money several months before our wedding on 9/13/14. He was fairly responsive up until the week of the wedding, and then he stopped returning our calls or emails. He didn't show up to the wedding and wouldn't return any of our calls that day or since.
I have come to learn that Marc Brooks is a scam artist. I found several of his fake business pages listed as "The Thrive Specialists" on facebook, claiming he is also a business consultant. He is a fraud and has refused to give us our money back. My wedding was ruined because of this guy, as he told us he would Emcee the whole thing. We ended up buying a speaker system and someone had a laptop at the hotel, so we were able to play some music, but I was completely distraught over how terrible the wedding turned out. I was inconsolable and literally cried on and off for the next 6 hours after the ceremony. DON'T TRUST THIS GUY EVER TO DO ANYTHING FOR YOU!!!

DO NOT HIRE THIS DJ!!!!!!!!!!Sounds like this DJ should be turned into the BBB. We are in the process of doing that. He did not show up for our wedding either! No calls, messages, emails, NOTHING!!! My wedding planner left several messages with no return calls that day. It wasn't until my wedding planner emailed him at 11:30pm the night of wedding that his "so called brother" responded within an hour. He stated that Marc was in this "terrible" accident on the way to the wedding and his phone was "thrown" out of the car and was not found. He apparently had a concussion and it was so bad that he had to be "heavily sedated" and was "sleeping as much as possible". I work in the medical field and know that people with concussions are supposed to be kept AWAKE!! The entire email just made no sense or for that matter was not believable! Now 2 weeks post our wedding, we have not received our money back as stated in the email, or any contact from Marc or his "brother".
I also concur with an other reviewer that he also did not live up to the expectations prior to the wedding as well. I had to have my wedding planner contact him before he would respond to any emails. I did not talk to him until 3 days before the wedding to go over the music list. After he got his money in May, he apparently had no reason to provide good customer service. Luckily, we only paid him 1/2 of the total. Ironically, he wanted the entire amount paid up front, but we were not comfortable doing that. We told him he would get the balance the day of the wedding. DO NOT HIRE THIS DJ!!!!

Would have been much higher ranking if the DJ had bothered to show up and had not left the couple high and dry. Wedding party had to go to Costco between ceremony and reception to buy a (an inadequate) sound system. The toasts may have been heartfelt but they were impossible to hear.
