Adrienne at Wooden Nickel was so wonderful to work with for catering for our wedding! We had multiple postponements d/t Covid and was so so kind and accommodating. The food and service was excellent and the price was great! We would highly recommend!

Wooden Nickel were amazing! As my now-husband and I began shopping for wedding catering, we were shocked at how expensive some local caterers were. Fortunately, we found Wooden Nickel at the Willamette Heritage Center wedding show! Their cost was reasonable (half of other quotes!) and we had tons of choices above and beyond a BBQ menu. Our guests were so complementary of the food AND the service. Their reasonable cost meant we could invite everyone in the family. Thank you Adrienne and Wooden Nickel!

Adrienne at Wooden Nickel was amazing to work with she worked with my budget and honestly my catering was the only non stress filler part of my wedding. Adrienne made it such an amazing experience. The food at our wedding was delicious, guests even commented about it. Once I was received a quote from Adrienne it became quite clear that Wooden Nickle was the best choice for us since their pricing is very all inclusive. They provided us with the wedding package everything was very upfront and laid back, but made it so much more apparent I had chosen the right caterer. It was awesome that you are able to upgrade your plastic plates/utensils for water service, etc. to make it customized to our needs. I was very thankful that they allowrd me to bring in my personal China for the event and allowed me to work with my budget. I was very happy with my experience and I would with out a doubt recommend them to any family that may be in the market for catering. I don't think I could have chosen a more professional, accommodating, good food, and great service option. My day was made even better by this vendor.

I hadn't worked with caterers before, so the initial process of getting quotes and comparing was a bit difficult at first. Once I was received a quote from Adrienne it became quite clear that Wooden Nickle was the best choice for us since their pricing is very all inclusive. They provided us with the wedding package which included cake cutting, service, and even the tip - all upfront. It was also very flexible so that we could change the plastic plates/utensils for water service, etc. to make it customized to our needs. We were even able to take the coffee cups from them ahead of time and stamp them with our logo. Initially they must not have seen the stamped cups in their catering space and did not have them out, but we were able to catch it and get the stamped cups set out. Overall, we were very happy with the quality of food and service for a very reasonable price.

The Wooden Nickel provided fantastic food and service to our wedding on 8/24/12. Very impressed with their service. There was even a problem with the BBQ that was brought, and a technician was called and fixed the problem promptly. All guests raved about the food and the staff was very helpful and flexible. BIG THANK YOU for helping make our wedding day a special and memorable one. :)

The Wooden Nickel is a fantastic vendor to choose for your catering services. They allowed us to come in for taste testing beforehand, and were very flexible with helping us make our menu unique and perfect. They handled manning the bar in a very professional manner, and were great across the board. The food was just perfect!

We went with Wooden Nickel because we got a 10% off and free cake cutting deal from attending a Bridal Show. We met with Adrienne and had the staff prepare foods for us to try. We really enjoyed that part of the experience and we so pleased with how they worked with us to get the exact menu we wanted. They offered linens as part of their service, but we found them cheaper elsewhere. As it got closer to our wedding date, we found plates and utensils cheaper elsewhere as well, and I think Adrienne didn't want to work with us much beyond that. We made a few changes very early on, and she seemed frustrated with us.
The food tasted very good, it was all hot and prepared very well. It was not as good as when we came for our trail tasting, but still good food. My husband said the cornbread was not all the way cooked, which bothered him. The food was pretty simple, but expensive none-theless. Catering is experience in general though.
Some of our complaints were that cake cutting was involved in our service, as well as plates and silverware for the cake, but the caterer did not do that part of their service. Water was put away before the night was even over, and so during dancing we were left without water. We never got our food packed up for us to take, which we also asked them to do.

Overall, we were pleased but felt some things were not executed well.
