The Westin Jekyll Island

We have dreamed for years of getting married on Jekyll Island. The Westin was the perfect place for our small gathering of family and close friends to experience the beauty and atmosphere of the gorgeous, relaxing island. The Westin was patient, flexible and willing to go the extra mile to make our vision come to life. We had a beautiful ceremony in the courtyard, which is always beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained. Our cocktail hour took place up on the spacious terrace which overlooks the beach and beautiful ocean. The drinks were delicious and the appetizers were absolutely delicious. The Westin has many options for food and are very flexible if you'd like something custom or additional. Our dinner took place on the elevated porch just beneath the terrace, so it was a only a single staircase from the cocktail hour and again provided great views of the beautifully landscaped property and beach. There were absolutely no bugs, which is always a concern in the evening on Jekyll Island. We wanted a simple wedding and dinner without lots of decorations (to make our lives easier). The Westin provides linens, beautiful decorative napkins that match the setting perfectly and also provided gorgeous simple driftwood centerpieces. Jekyll Island is known for driftwood beach, so the centerpieces really tie in with the location and match the ambiance and aesthetic of the island perfectly. My husband and I are both very busy with our careers and the Westin property is so beautiful that it allowed us to enjoy a gorgeous space (beautiful flower beds, perfect lawn, gorgeous tropical/beachy tall decorative grasses) without doing ANY decorating at all. The property truly speaks for itself and this helped my husband and I to completely eliminate that stress from the planning and day-of preparation. The dinner they served us on the beautiful raised porch was unbelievably delicious. Every guest found something they loved because the Westin offered such a great variety of options. We chose to go with food stations and picked multiple from their list of options so that there was something delicious for every guest. Never in my life have I had wedding food that delicious! My husband and I enjoyed everything we tasted and our guests were blown away at how great the food was. We had our desserts, wedding cake and coffee back upstairs on the terrace and it was such a gorgeous way to end the night. The guests devoured the mini key limes pies, chocolate covered strawberries, pecan pie bites and chocolate mouse shooters. The desserts were just as delicious as our dinner and the display was beautiful. The small desserts allowed guests to experience all the flavors and go back for seconds if they wanted more. The Westin staff was all wonderful and even went so far as to get additional ingredients from the main bar downstairs when we asked for specific cocktails. They came around and offered to get more drinks for everyone, and even remembered what I, the bride, was drinking throughout the night. The weather on Jekyll is typically beautiful and the day of our wedding was absolutely perfect. The sunshine showcased the gorgeous Westin property and provided the most breathtaking view of the beach as a backdrop to our wedding. My husband and I can't stop talking about how perfect the wedding day was. It was more beautiful and delicious than we could have ever hoped for and we can't thank the Westin enough for everything they did to make our day magical. We also need to specifically shout out Robin Monosa (senior catering sales manager) who helped us every step of the way, provided helpful suggestions when we were unsure of what we wanted and was always patient and responsive. She was wonderful to work with and helped to ensure our whole wedding week was comfortable and the wedding day itself was flawless.

The Westin in Jekyll Island, GA hosted our wedding reception in May of 2023. After a rainy and windy ceremony on the beach we were welcomed into our beautiful reception hall by Jin Butler, the Westin's Catering and Event Coordinator. She had the whole place set up without any help from myself or my family so we didn't have to worry about a thing but enjoying the evening. It turned out better than I could have imagined and I can't thank her enough for all she did to make our day so perfect. She kept our evening on the schedule we decided on and helped everything run smoothly. She went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of and happy. I wish I could take her home with me and have her run my whole life, ha! 10/10 would recommend staying at or hosting an event at this hotel. The building and the grounds were so beautifully maintained, clean, and modern. Can't forget the beautiful view of the beach out back! I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Our wedding at the Westin was absolutely perfect! The planning process was flawless from start to finish. Our event coordinator was so easy to communicate with & ensured everything went as planned. We couldn’t recommend it more!

Our beach wedding was wonderful. The Westin did a great job setting everything up and changing things around quickly for reception due to cooler weather. We had the most relaxing room, beautiful view from room and balcony of the ocean, nice huge tub for two😌. I loved how everyone was so pleasant and helpful. Robin, Bradley, shuttle bus drivers, Matt helped us a few times, housekeeping, the guests, everyone was great.

The Westin Jekyll Island was the venue of our dreams! We couldn't be more pleased with the setting overlooking the ocean, the service, and the food was impeccable. Robin Monosa and her team made us and our guests feel like royalty.

We had our wedding reception at the Jekyll Island Westin and all we can say is WOW! Robin, the catering manager, made the entire experience from start to finish exceptional with her excellent customer service and kindness. Anything we wanted to have food wise, within reason, she was able to provide. She kept everything extremely organized and helped us not only with the reception, but to make sure we had the room rates for our reservations, provided us with a great recommendation for a rehearsal dinner, and helped guide/provide us with things to do the entire weekend. She even sent for champagne and strawberries to be sent up to our room and a card, so the personal touches like that really do mean the world and make you feel special. The food was excellent, from the appetizers, to the buffet meal, to the dessert bar, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Her staff, including our bartender was friendly and attentive to any of our small party’s needs. The space outside that was provided to us was really perfect for a group our size and we had plenty of heat lamps to keep warm in the December weather and it really felt private and like our own with the way everything was set up.

I appreciate the little details Robin thought of to make sure our stay was as comfortable and cozy as possible. The only feedback I would provide is that the Westin itself doesn’t offer much upfront in terms of decor and the hotel rooms could use a little bit of an update, HOWEVER, if you bring items with you to add those personal touches, Robin’s team took care of all of the setup and truly provided service that went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. Highly recommend Robin, and staying at the Westin in the future thanks to all that her and her team did for us!

We absolutely picked the perfect place to have our wedding and reception on beautiful Jekyll Island and The Westin. The event was amazing and Robin was incredible to work with. She is very responsive and on-the-ball! Not one detail was overlooked. Brad and I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. Thank you all for everything you did to make our day amazing. We are so happy we chose The Westin!! It was the most perfect day!

My wedding planner Robin and her team made all the difference. My small wedding had hiccups but Robin made sure everything turned out gorgeous and smoothly. I loved all the staff I interacted with and the execution of everything.

The Westin was absolutely wonderful. The staff was so great to us and our guests. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite for the duration of our stay which worked out wonderfully when my hair and makeup person came. They worked with the planning company we hired and provided transportation for us and guests to our ceremony spot - Driftwood Beach. The Palm Terrace was so wonderful for our dinner/reception. Our meal was fantastic and we were able to add soup to our starters. Our bartender was phenomenal and so personable. He made sure we were a priority and were well taken care of. We loved our stay and will definatly be returning!
