My wife and I can't recommend this venue enough. We had a non-traditional wedding weekend, so we had our ceremony offsite the day prior and had the Victorian as our venue of our reception + party.

It was the perfect back-drop. We had cocktail hour on the front lawn using a ton of lounge furniture and fire tables that came included with the venue. We comfortably seated 185 people in the backyard for a family style dinner (from an outside vendor) and had 3 separate bars open for our guests so the lines never got too long. There bar service was reasonably priced, allowed us to have 4 signature cocktails, and the bar staff completely rocked it the night of our wedding.

My wife and I also did not want our wife to end at 10pm like usual so we loved that the Victorian allowed us to go until 1am. They have an amazing sound system built in throughout the venue so no matter where you were you could hear the party Our venue coordinator Katie was exceptional and handled everything like a pro even being thrown in last minute.

We can't thank this team enough and would highly recommend this venue, especially if you're looking for something out of the box and fun.

We had the most incredible experience, it's such a fun spot - I wish we could do it all over again! Julia was incredibly lovely to work with, so responsive, and honestly has a very calming presence. She's very accommodating and fun to brainstorm cool ideas with.

The venue itself is a delight! We had about 100 people total and it was perfect. We did our ceremony in the front (the sneak peek photos are already looking fab with the palm tree), reception kinda in the front room / all over, dinner in the back, and dancing in the front room. There are so many fun little areas to explore and the venue has a lot of character. Definitely one of the more down to earth / laid back wedding venues we'd seen, which we really loved. They have some cute white picnic tables and benches that you're welcome to use, or if you rent your own tables and chairs they will move their tables offsite (kind of incredible honestly, must be a lot of work to do that). We ended up hosting a post wedding brunch back at the venue the day after, and I couldn't believe how quickly they turned everything around (from 11pm close to a 9am brunch, it went from full wedding to pristine brunch buffet). Mind blowing!

They have various options you can choose from, but JFYI if you end up hosting your ceremony in the front yard (we did), know that you do compete with some sound from the street. If you still like the idea of getting married under the palm tree (it *is* really pretty in the front), I'd recommend making sure you have a solid microphone and speaker setup and also just keep in mind some people will be innocently driving down the street with their music at full blast. You could attempt to compete with that by renting some hedges to cover the street from view, maybe bring in a little fountain for background noise, but it's still gonna happen! It wasn't an issue for us, just mentioning in case helpful. You never really know what kind of music someone bumping down the street will choose at that exact moment. ;)

Also have to mention, the bartenders where soooo good - crushed it on the cocktails. Everyone was seriously so great, we couldn't be happier!! We also really loved the bridal suite. My husband (yay!) got ready elsewhere and then came to the venue with his groomsmen and took photos downstairs, I took photos upstairs in the bridal suite. Some very epic backdrops for photos.

We highly recommend the Victorian! If you go with this venue, definitely scope out their preferred vendor list. We had an absolute rockstar team of vendors who were incredibly lovely to work with!!

From the moment we walked into The Victorian House, we knew we had found the perfect place for our "Surprise... we Eloped" celebration. Julia and her team embraced our vision for a fun and unique experience, and they delivered beyond our wildest dreams.

We did not want a traditional wedding venue or experience. What set The Victorian House apart was its ability to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Our guests loved playing pool, foosball and corn hole, and the fire pits, s'mores and cigar bar added a touch of the Old Hollywood Glam vibe we wanted. Our guests can't stop raving about the location and that it was the most fun and unique wedding they ever attended.

Julia and her team truly outdid themselves and took care of every detail, from the amazingly delicious craft cocktails to setting up our decor, allowing us to relax and enjoy our special day. It was perfect!

I met my now husband at the funnest club in Ventura called Candlelight 15 years ago, and it's a dream come true to have married there this February 2024. Communication was prompt, and Julia is more than accommodating for site meetings and planning. Our event was super small attendance, so it was a treat to have access to all the grounds. Julia made sure the details were heeded, and while it was not a full day, was ever-attentive, very professional with a cheery and dutiful personality.

I was so impressed with the staff and venue. Our day couldn’t have been any better. From the staff to the decor made everything magical. Julia was on top of everything from day one and was always communicating making sure all our needs were met. The staff that was hired had so much fun energy which kept our guest even more entertained than they already were. Johnny did amazing with the food items and everything had a perfect flow at all times. Parking was easy for our guest and it is great for all seasons due to the fact that there is so much indoor space with so much character depending on the time of year. I would highly recommend this place for a wedding or event.

I am so happy we chose The Victorian to be our wedding reception venue! Julia went above and beyond to craft an unpretentious, friendly and memorable experience. The grounds were beautiful and elegant and the service staff were so accommodating. They worked seamlessly with our vendors and I would honestly recommend this venue to anyone. We absolutely loved it and would book again.

If you’re looking to book this place for your wedding, I would be very cautious. We almost booked this venue until we were seeing some red flags. One HUGE one— in the brochure I was sent and currently on their website as of Sept. 2023, they show photos of wedding setups that are NOT at this property, but they are trying to make it appear as if they are. I know for a fact some of them are from Calamigos Ranch, NOT the Victorian House! It doesn’t get more misleading than that, and I think that speaks volumes about the owners and their willingness to be shady.

If you just haven’t hosted many weddings since you’re a new venue and don’t have the photos to prove it, why not just be upfront about it instead of STEALING photos from other venues?There is absolutely no excuse for that, and I can only imagine what other ways this venue would prove to be unprofessional had we gone through booking with them.

Not to mention it seems kind of obvious that the one other review on wedding wire is almost certainly fake.
