A Picturesque Farm Wedding Experience

The Union Exchange is a gorgeous wedding venue and farm located in Monroe, NC. This stunning 100-year-old farm and event space is the brainchild of The Brown Family, who dreamed of having their own family business where they can create lifelong memories together in the great outdoors. We are so excited to share our land with you and your family where the principle of unplugging and getting outside are our top priorities!

The Union Exchange is a rustic-style venue that expands over 54 acres of North Carolina farm land encompassing an indigenous pine tree forest and 3.5 acres of scenic ponds. Featuring an abundance of restored historic structures and with a maximum capacity of 150 guests, this countryside setting has been restored to its natural beauty making it an ideal place to say “I do.” With three wonderful wedding packages ranging from micro-weddings to full farm packages, you and your sweetheart are sure to find the perfect locale to bring your wedding vision to life! As an added benefit, all of our packages include sleeping accommodations for the night of your wedding.

Kickstart your dreamy wedding weekend with our onsite get ready and lounge spaces while enjoying all the amenities that the farm has to offer. Gather your loved ones for your picturesque ceremony on the sprawling event lawn with luminous fountain views or in the magical pine tree forest. As the party atmosphere fills the air, retreat to one of our reception barns that combine vintage craftsmanship and elegant design! Dance the night away under the twinkling bistro lights while enjoying the beauty of your countryside celebration. As the festivities conclude, cozy up in our onsite sleeping accommodations including two private houses and two glamping cabins.

Best Wedding Venue Ever!

Me & my husband chose The Union Exchange as our wedding venue and we couldn't have picked a better one! The staff are SO lovely (massive shoutout to Kelly & Kacie!) and they were so flexible with us and really put in the extra effort to make sure our day was perfect. Not only are the staff here excellent at their jobs, they are also such wonderful kindhearted people too. We felt INSTANTLY welcomed the first time we ever visited & that is ultimately what lead us to choosing this place to get married.

My family stayed in the big AirBNB at the front of the venue and it's such a great space for larger parties! Very modern but with a rustic twist and has everything you need. Also the animals are ADORABLE!

Myself and my husband stayed in one of the little cabins near the lake and we both loved it so much that we will be coming back every year to celebrate our anniversary! They are so cosy but very clean, we loved sitting on the chairs at the front and watching all the geese go by. Special shoutout to the candles here, the "Market Mornings" candle was a nice addition to our cabin and we even bought one to take home with us to remember this by.

Even though we were here for our wedding, I know they do so many cool events which are perfect for all ages, we will definitely be back in future! I cannot recommend this beautiful place more

Perfect Summer Wedding

Our wedding day was more than what we could have imagined thanks to the Exchange. Having our wedding at the Exchange made the whole day an experience - ceremony in the pine grove, cocktail hour in their outdoor bar, reception in the main barn, and the party on the patio. The houses on the property were also great to host family and to have a place to get ready. The staff is so responsive with planning and made it such a breeze. The icing on top of everything - we added their ice cream option as our dessert and it was a hit for our summer wedding! One of our favorite days at one of our favorite places!

Home Away From Home

This place is pure magic. For starters, their daily events and atmosphere are something we fell in love with from the first day we visited. My husband and I currently live in Charleston, SC but we had the pleasure of getting married at Union Exchange on 10/26/24. We visited a few times with his family before this was even an idea, so it was very special to us to get married in a place that was already so close to our hearts. We mostly worked with Kelly, the heart and soul of this beautiful venue. She went above and beyond to truly make us feel at home with no detail missed. The owner himself personally made sure the official wedding day went just as smoothly. From chauffeuring our families around, to bartending, to communicating with all vendors on the day of, we could tell how proud he is of Union Exchange. This entire family is so genuine and humble, they were all such a dream to work with! We opted in for the Full Farm Package and our guests were blown away with how many options there were throughout the day that didn't leave them at one venue for too long and we're so thankful they were able to get the full experience of this special place.
Bonus - waking up to the sweetest horses, goats and chickens were truly the highlight of the entire weekend :)

Always a bridesmaid never a bride...

Now that I have your attention! As someone who has attended and participated in over 15 weddings the past two years (no exaggeration) I feel confident in my judgement that The Union Exchange went above and beyond with all wedding expectations! Their space was beautiful, the staff was extremely accommodating. Even every detail from the outdoor fire place, the forest "cathedral", the onsite housing rentals, party barn, parking, pond, even the hay barrel bars made everything feel like a movie. The owner even drove the bride and bridal party around comfortably on their golf-cart to make every transition smooth and most certainly memorable. Being a bridesmaid I got to really nit pick all the details and I personally had zero complaints. I've already recommended the place to multiple other friends getting married and I'll be thrilled when one of them decide to get married here because I can't wait to go back!

Beautiful venue, amazing staff!!

Where do I even start? The Union Exchange should be your top choice for a wedding venue. Their property is stunning and provides breathtaking views. Not only is their property incredible, the staff is absolutely amazing. Kelly and team went above and beyond to make our day perfect. They answered our thousand questions and made sure we had everything we needed. They even drove us around the property on a golf cart to capture their property's best views for post wedding photos! Recommend you go see the venue yourself because it will not disappoint!

The Dream Venue

The Union Exchange is an absolute dream! It’s got the small town, family oriented, classic feel that was perfect for my micro wedding.
Every staff member I encountered were so polite, thoughtful and helpful! All of my questions were answered in a timely manner and staff continued to check in to make sure everything was going well.
The venue is spacious which provided me with multiple options for the ceremony of my choice and even more options for pictures after my ceremony. I couldn’t have asked for a better venue experience. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is looking for a venue in the area.

Versatile and fantastic venue

The UE was everything we looked for and could have dreamed of. So many different locations on the farm to choose from for a ceremony. They work together with you to meet all of your needs. The setting is phenomenal and such a variety of of settings to choose from all within one place. They provide on site housing for some of your guests from out of town which is incredible. This family run company truly cares about your big day and wants everything to go perfectly and works hard to do so. They are a pleasure to work with and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a venue that is ADA accessible, rest full of event/wedding needs, will go the extra mile to make your big day everything you dreamed it would be.
