Our wedding at Twisted Tail was amazing. Their event coordinator, Codi, was incredibly responsive and helpful. She coordinated our ceremony at the Shambles (across the street) and gave us our dream reception. Our guests raved about the food!

If you are looking for a unique, unconventional, and completely personalized wedding book with the Twisted Tail!!!! Codi, George, and the rest of the team at the Twisted Tail made our wedding dreams a reality! From start to finish everyone and everything with the Twisted Tail was easy and compelety tailored to fit the vision that we had for our big day. My husband and I loved the idea of hosting our wedding outdoors at the covered shambles (across the street from the Twisted Tail) and the team at TTT completely exceeded our expectations! The team is so familiar with the Shambles space that it almost felt like the space was an extension of their restaurant! They even closed their restaurant for the night of our event so the kitchen could soley focus on our ~100 guests!

Codi, the twisted tail’s event coordinatornator, was such a pleasure to work with! She was super responsive, present, and professional through the whole planning process and of course on the day of the event. Its like we had a wedding planner without having the price tag of a wedding planner!! She made everything from rental choices to food choices so easy, offering suggestions when needed. My husband and I felt like she really understood our vision for the day and would make recommendations based on what we were envisioning. She even lent us decor that was housed at the twisted tail at no extra cost. We were blown away by how she would go the extra mile for us throughout our whole planning process. My other vendors also made it a point to tell us how easy and amazing she was to work with!

The owner, George, was also a true pleasure to work with from our tasting all the way through the night of the wedding! He was present (with his apron on!) making sure all of the food was presented beautifully to our guests! At our tasting he was so professional and knowledgeable about their menu, making suggestions when needed, while also assuring us that everything was completely customizable to our taste. George is truly is a beverage connoisseur! He was so knowledgable and helpful when choosing wines (which we sampled) along with other spirits!

We love the Twisted Tail! Our wedding was set for this August and because #corona things had to change. We were so saddened to not have things go as planned. That being said, Juliet and the Twisted Tail were beyond accommodating and understanding not only throughout what we did have of a normal planning process, but also as we struggled to sort through what was best for us and our families given the situation. We're saddened to not have their fun, laid back vibe for our day, but we've been able to keep the band! Mikey Jr. and Co. will be playing for us in our backyard! While, this isn't a typical review of a wedding that went to plan, if you're a bride out there lucky enough to have a wedding in the future and you want it to go as planned, do not hesitate to reach out to the Twisted Tail. It's the perfect combination of Philly flair, but with a laid back "Juke Joint" celebration. The staff is beyond friendly, the food amazing, the old fashioned's beyond! For anyone out there looking for a more creative, intimate, fun, and casual "hang-out" environment for their wedding do not make your final decision without at least checking out their space and stopping in for a bite! You won't regret it!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome reception at the Twisted Tail. The event was perfect, thanks to Juliet our coordinator. They worked with us to assemble the perfect menu to match our budget and needs. The food is incredible, the staff is quick and attentive, and they made every accommodation to allow us to decorate the place and create the perfect evening. We highly recommend the Twisted Tail!

We decided on the Twisted Tail as we wanted something a bit different and it was also where we had our first date. Juliet is the event coordinator and she is a gem to work with. George the owner was great with dealing with our requests. I am a very picky food eater and the chef was able to make selections suited for me that were delicious. The food was a hit! It was buffet style and everyone loved that they could go for seconds of all their favorites. BBQ ribs, corn bread, Mac n cheese, people even raved about the roasted chicken just to name a few. The menu was extensive and so good! The staff was incredible the day of with all the guests and making sure we had food and a full glass. Guests loved the mixed drinks and beer selection. We bought out the entire restaurant for our 165 guests and it worked out great. We had our first dance and speeches given on the first floor. The main dance floor was upstairs and food was served on both levels. We had a photos booth set up on the first floor as well. The venue was unique in so many ways and guests thoroughly enjoyed it. Our own parents were hesitant when we told them we were having our reception at a bilevel restaurant. They were so impressed with the final result! The restaurant was transformed into our wedding reception oasis and the guests had a fantastic time. We had day of coordinators to make sure the venue looked how we wanted with regards to the florist and such and the coordinators also assisted in making sure guests utilized both floors. We are so glad we decided on having our wedding reception at the Twisted Tail. Huge thank you to Juliet and George!

We were looking for a unique and fun place to have our wedding and The Twisted Tail was our dream venue. Such a cool vibe and we only had to do very minimal in terms of bringing things in for decoration. The decor is already so cool we didn't need to do much. We did have a member of the staff write on the big chalkboard which was really cool. We had two signature drinks which were awesome. George, the owner, and Juliet, the event coordinator, were amazing. The day went off without a hitch and I can't thank them and the rest of the staff enough. The bartenders and servers were so wonderful. Everyone complimented on how good the food was. We had about 100 people and did a pig roast. It was so delicious. We can't recommend The Twisted Tail enough!

My husband I just got married at The Twisted Tail. We chose this venue because we enjoy going there on a regular basis and wanted a different type of venue. We were beyond thrilled with the result, we wouldn't have changed a thing (except not having it ever end!) The food was a very important part of the wedding to us and they didn't disappoint. All night we were getting rave reviews on the food and specialty cocktails. Our friends are still talking about the Mac n Cheese. We received so many comments on how it was the coolest wedding people had been to. We had both the upstairs and downstairs so people were able to hang out wherever they preferred. We brought in our own band and it was a huge hit! The kids hung out in the game room there was college football on TV for the football fans. Overall I think this venue is great if you want to have a not so traditional but super fun wedding. The staff across the board is amazing and is so very helpful and made the our wedding amazing!

Although I grew up in Philadelphia, I haven’t lived there in 12 years and was pretty unfamiliar with the city. This made finding a unique rehearsal dinner location a challenge. We didn’t have a favorite restaurant in the city to fall back on! We chose the Twisted Tail for several reasons. It is a uniquely decorated, non-traditional private party space. We did not want to replicate the sit-down dinner our reception would have so we really liked their Southern Comfort buffet options. They also had a relatively extensive beer and wine menu for a very reasonable price. The guests loved the event, and we loved working with the staff. They were professional and very easy to work with. The contract, menu selection, and payment were all done online. I highly recommend.
