Amazing Service

The Stylist Abroad is an incredible company to work with for my wedding hair and makeup. From the beginning, they were responsive, professional, and clear with pricing and services. I picked them because of their inclusiveness as well as how clearly beautiful their styling was. I had Aida do our make up and Kim do our hair. I was completely in love with my hair and make up! I have a lot of very long hair and Kim did a fantastic job following my inspiration and adding flowers to my braid. Aida did a trial for me and was very good a taking my description and making it a reality. They both are extremely kind, professional and made me feel like they really cared about how I looked on my wedding day! I highly recommend them, I am so beyond pleased with the services they provided!

Highly recommend the Stylist Abroad team! Ashley was so professional and easy to work with! She was so helpful throughout the wedding planning process, from finding the right stylists for me, scheduling trials, and helping plan the timeline, she made it all so easy! When one of my original stylists became unavailable for our wedding date, Ashley made sure to provide me with another stylist and a second trial for free to make sure my new stylist and I were on the same page, which was so so nice. We used Stylist Abroad for both Hair and Makeup services and everything went so smoothly! Highly recommend!

Fantastic!!

Do not hesitate to book The Stylist Abroad for your wedding day hair and makeup! Ashley was phenomenal to work with, she responded quickly to all of my many questions and when the original stylist I had chosen was moving states, Ashley made sure to communicate the other options I had so that I was in comfortable with who I would be working with! My hair and makeup trial went seamlessly, and the stylists are true professions who recreated my reference photos beautifully. While there was a small hiccup on my wedding day (by no fault of Ashley), she apologized profusely and gave us a partial refund, without me even meaning to receive one! If I ever need professional hair or makeup again, I would be sure to book with this company!

Highly Recommend for D.C. Wedding Day Hair & Makeup!

I am so happy with my decision to partner with The Stylist Abroad for my wedding in Washington, D.C. Coordinating logistics with owner Ashley was a breeze! I needed several trials because I couldn’t quite make up my mind, and Ashley was communicative, helpful and understanding every step of the way. On my wedding day, the stylists — Jenna, Michelle and Gabriela — went above and beyond to make every member of my bridal party look and feel amazing. Everyone picked their own hair & makeup styles, and Jenna, Michelle and Gabriela were able to execute each request flawlessly. Our looks stayed put all through the night, and the touch-up kit they provided was much-appreciated. I loved being able to support a truly inclusive business, and I would highly recommend The Stylist Abroad to anyone looking for hair & makeup services.

Thoughtful and Thorough

Ashley was phenomenal! She did both my hair and make up day of, and captured the look I wanted perfectly. She also made sure I was comfortable throughout, including things as small as asking if I wanted my freckles to show rather than making the decision for me. I wanted to have a more fantasy/forest leaning wedding, and she didn't even bat an eye at that request. The makeup was gorgeous and stayed put the entire night. My hair was tamed, curled, and stayed styled even though it was half down and I danced plenty through the night. Everything was wonderful, efficient, and thoughtful.

Inclusive Vendor - Beautiful Results

Gabby and Jenna were phenomenal not only for the trial session but day of as well. They incorporated everyone’s little tweaks and were fun to have in the suite.

It also meant a lot to have an inclusive company respectful of the LGBT community!

Amazing inclusive and skilled vendor who made my day beautiful!

From my first call with Ashley to the beautiful work of Michelle, I am so thankful for the Stylist Abroad team! Ashley was so friendly and knowledgeable in my intro phone call. She was able to answer questions I had about using cultural hairpieces for my Indian fusion wedding. Michelle was wonderful and flexible for my trial, being super patient while we perfected my look and offering great suggestions on adaptations and hair pieces. She made me feel so fancy and beautiful for my wedding day. They also proactively coordinated with my makeup artist which was SUPER nice for a busy bride! I LOVE how the Stylist Abroad team truly leads with their values. They are inclusive, culturally responsive, and thoughtful in their in-person and social media approach. I could not be happier that they were involved in my special day.

Amazing service and talent!

I worked with Gabby for my hair and she was so sweet and does amazing work! Ashley, the owner, is very experienced and makes the process as easy as possible. She is very responsive to emails and happy to help in any way, she really went above and beyond! I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Kind, caring, and talented

This is long overdue, but as I’ve been attending weddings after our own I’ve been reflecting on how I’m so glad our planner recommend The Stylist Abroad after my original vendor closed her business during the pandemic. The business itself is progressive and aligns with all the values that are important to me. Michelle was the most wonderful stylist. I did not have a traditional bridal party, so she created unique looks for my friends and family. They all looked stunning! She even stayed late when we asked for her help putting flowers in the flower girl’s hair. That was totally above and beyond, but she said she was happy to do it. Professional and considerate to the max!

The best experience!

If you're looking for the most amazing hairstylist for your next big event, look no further. Ashley is absolutely outstanding! Not only is she tremendously talented but she is the sweetest person. I went to Ashley for my wedding hair and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. She took my inspiration pictures and gave me something even better than what I could have imagined. She's so easy to work with and truly understands styling. I can't recommend her enough.
