Phil and team were above and beyond what we could have expected. Phil is incredibly responsive and organized and made sure everything flowed smoothly. We had live saxophone and percussion and the guests all said it was a massive hit. The saxophonist played the cocktail hour and the reception and rocks out on the dance floor. Phil excels at reading the room and our dance floor was packed from the minute it opened until the final song. These guys are absolute pros! A must hire!

Phil was wonderful from the very beginning! Not only does he clearly put care and thought into the process to find what is best for each couple, but he is responsive, kind, and fun throughout the journey! He helped make choosing music easy, and him and his team kept the vibes up all night! We wanted to incorporate Arabic and Portuguese music and he did a great job in hyping up the crowd while paying tribute to our cultures! We would recommend him 100x over if you want a fun, smooth wedding!

Phil and his entire team at The Specialist’s Entertainment truly made our wedding day an unforgettable experience. We so appreciated the way that Phil guided my husband and I through the planning process. He allowed us to make the day exactly how we wanted, tailored it to our needs and preferences, and offered his expertise and advice along the way. He was responsive, so easy to work with and helped us create a seamless timeline from ceremony to the end of the night. The day of the wedding was a dream. Everything went off without a hitch- not an easy feat with a nontraditional older home as a venue. He provided sound equipment for the ceremony that allowed all of our guests to hear the ceremony clearly. He created such a classy elegant feel for our cocktail hour, effortlessly guided our family and friends through toasts and first dances and then really brought the fun during the reception. Guests are still talking about how the dance floor was the most fun they’ve had at a wedding, and I felt the same! The energy and song choices were absolutely perfect and beyond what we could’ve imagined.

We also added on a photo booth and saxophone player. The sax player was PHENOMENAL. He played through cocktail hour, dinner and the reception. His music really elevated the whole feel of cocktail hour and dinner and he really brought the fun and party for the reception. We are so glad we decided to have him! The photo booth was so much fun for our us and our guests and the photos were high quality and produced beautiful digital and physical prints.

We never had an doubt about working with DJ Phil for our wedding, but boy did he deliver far beyond our expectations. Throughout the process Phil was extremely easy to work with. He didn’t bat an eye when we asked to change anything, including just a few weeks before the wedding when we asked if he had a specific type of photo booth. He didn’t, but before he got back to us, he went out and got one that fit our needs. Phil made sure that every single detail was exactly what we wanted, down to the exact wording to introduce the wedding party. He and his team were incredible the night of. The musicians were AMAZING and they learned all the songs we wanted, the photo booth attendants were friendly and helpful, and we got SO MANY compliments on the music. Every aspect of our experience using The Specialists was perfect for our September 2025 wedding. We met with Philip at their showroom in March to discuss what we wanted the wedding to look like, review timing and what equipment we would need, and discuss other options. Philip showed us many options - uplighting, special effects, loads of entertainment options like a live musician to accompany the DJ or play during cocktail/dinner times. Ultimately we went with cocktail hour music on a speaker system, and DJ services plus uplighting and intelligent lighting that provided a really cool effect on the dance floor. A few weeks before the wedding we sent Philip a list of songs we selected for first dances etc. as well as songs we "had" to hear (during dancing and during dinner), and songs that we "wanted" to hear if time allowed as well as general style of what we liked/disliked. When we walked into the venue it looked amazing - the lights they added were beautiful and made the whole ballroom look so polished and professional. Cocktail hour was a perfect volume and we loved the song selection. Dinner service was a great time to hear some of our less dance-oriented songs and they supplemented our selections really well. Philip was a pro at finding our toast-makers and directing them on where to go and provide the microphone. When it came time for first dances Philip did a great job of introducing everyone and playing the songs for a good length of time without it feeling too long or short. Once the dance floor opened it was NONSTOP dancing from almost every single one of our 130 guests for the remainder of the wedding. I don't think there was ever a time when there were less than 50 people on the dance floor, every single song was so fun and perfect for our crowd. Multiple people throughout the night kept saying to us how much they were enjoying the music. Philip was also great at accommodating last minute requests for a group dance song (Cha Cha Slide) that was requested by family, and for an impromptu thank you my husband wanted to make. Two weeks later and we are STILL getting rave reviews about the music from our wedding - everyone had so much fun and they were so impressed by how amazing The Specialists were. We wouldn't change a single thing about the music for our wedding and would recommend The Specialists to anyone looking for amazing DJs who can read yours and your guests minds and provide nonstop entertainment!!
