Phil was absolutely incredible! He completely nailed the exact vibe we were hoping for. We had a smaller wedding and he really listened to what we wanted and curated the perfect music all night long — the dance floor was moving and our guests had such a great time! DJ Philis the best!!!
We never had an doubt about working with DJ Phil for our wedding, but boy did he deliver far beyond our expectations. Throughout the process Phil was extremely easy to work with. He didn’t bat an eye when we asked to change anything, including just a few weeks before the wedding when we asked if he had a specific type of photo booth. He didn’t, but before he got back to us, he went out and got one that fit our needs. Phil made sure that every single detail was exactly what we wanted, down to the exact wording to introduce the wedding party. He and his team were incredible the night of. The musicians were AMAZING and they learned all the songs we wanted, the photo booth attendants were friendly and helpful, and we got SO MANY compliments on the music. The Dance Party Wedding of our Dreams!
Every aspect of our experience using The Specialists was perfect for our September 2025 wedding. We met with Philip at their showroom in March to discuss what we wanted the wedding to look like, review timing and what equipment we would need, and discuss other options. Philip showed us many options - uplighting, special effects, loads of entertainment options like a live musician to accompany the DJ or play during cocktail/dinner times. Ultimately we went with cocktail hour music on a speaker system, and DJ services plus uplighting and intelligent lighting that provided a really cool effect on the dance floor. A few weeks before the wedding we sent Philip a list of songs we selected for first dances etc. as well as songs we "had" to hear (during dancing and during dinner), and songs that we "wanted" to hear if time allowed as well as general style of what we liked/disliked. When we walked into the venue it looked amazing - the lights they added were beautiful and made the whole ballroom look so polished and professional. Cocktail hour was a perfect volume and we loved the song selection. Dinner service was a great time to hear some of our less dance-oriented songs and they supplemented our selections really well. Philip was a pro at finding our toast-makers and directing them on where to go and provide the microphone. When it came time for first dances Philip did a great job of introducing everyone and playing the songs for a good length of time without it feeling too long or short. Once the dance floor opened it was NONSTOP dancing from almost every single one of our 130 guests for the remainder of the wedding. I don't think there was ever a time when there were less than 50 people on the dance floor, every single song was so fun and perfect for our crowd. Multiple people throughout the night kept saying to us how much they were enjoying the music. Philip was also great at accommodating last minute requests for a group dance song (Cha Cha Slide) that was requested by family, and for an impromptu thank you my husband wanted to make. Two weeks later and we are STILL getting rave reviews about the music from our wedding - everyone had so much fun and they were so impressed by how amazing The Specialists were. We wouldn't change a single thing about the music for our wedding and would recommend The Specialists to anyone looking for amazing DJs who can read yours and your guests minds and provide nonstop entertainment!!

The best around!
Used specialists entertainment for my wedding in April and couldn’t have had a better experience. Before hand they were always responsive, and final meeting was extremely organized fun and helpful making the day of a breeze. They provided music for my ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and I received compliments on it all. They set the mood, facilitated the day perfectly, and kept the party going all night! Couldn’t have asked for a better pair to work with. I also had a sax player which was a total hit- he was incredible. Cant recommend them enough and will definitely be using in the future 💕

We cannot say enough incredible things about DJ Phil, his team, and the entire entertainment package they provided! The amazing energy, professionalism, and sheer talent were beyond anything we could have hoped for and always knew we would have from day one. The team's attention to detail and ability to blend our musical tastes with crowd-pleasers was a hit. Everyone had a lot of fun.
But it didn’t stop there – we also used his photobooth, which was a huge hit with our guests. It was sleek, fun, and fully equipped with props and prints that people are still talking about! Everyone loved having a fun keepsake from the night, and the booth was constantly buzzing with laughter and great energy.
Adding to the magic, the live saxophonist and percussionist brought everything to the next level. The sax added this smooth, sophisticated layer to the music that gave our cocktail hour and dance sets such a unique, upscale feel. And the percussionist? Amazing choice! Phil did a phenomenal job with my wedding tonight and I could not be happier. I have known Phil for many years and he always does an exceptional job and goes above and beyond. My Big Fat Greek Portuguese Wedding
From start to finish Phil created a fantastic atmosphere. Phil’s top priority was for everyone to have fun and he definitely succeeded. We had a big wedding and a Greek band so there were a lot of moving parts. We were concerned that there would be some friction between the band and the DJ. Phil was able to work seamlessly with the Greek band and by the end of the night multiple wedding guests were inquiring about his services.

Our wedding 2024!!!
We used Entertainment Specialists for our wedding on October 12,2024! Phil and his crew were incredible! We had the live Saxophonist as well who was awesome! Phil knew exactly what to play to keep the party going all night long! I don’t think myself or most of my guests ever left the dance floor! Phil was flexible when we changed the times last minute, he worked with us when there were some changes the night of the wedding! I felt fully confident letting him pick a playlist for the wedding reception! I was able to provide him all of the songs for the ceremony and a few songs that we requested be played during the reception! We had a Greek/American wedding and Phil knew exactly how to mix the Greek songs in to keep people on the dance floor! Everyone ranted and raved about how good the music was at our wedding! I can not recommend them enough!! They helped make my wedding the most incredible day/night!

The best night of our lives!!
I truly don't know where to begin. From the moment we met DJ Phil, we knew right away we wanted to work with him and his team. He made every part of the experience in working together fun, personal & memorable. They are so professional and it's obvious they know what they're doing (we had a saxophonist & percussionist also, everyone is so talented). I've been to weddings where the DJs play the same songs, and even though it's fine, it's nothing special... this was not the case with The Specialists Entertainment. They played to match the energy of *our* crowd, didn't play anything basic or boring and everyone was up dancing ALL night long. Weeks later people are still raving about our wedding and how it was the "most fun wedding they've ever been to" because of DJ Phil and his team. Dream Wedding Experience!
Phil and his team delivered above and beyond! Sean the guitarist was absolutely incredible during the ceremony and set the tone absolutely perfectly. His transitions, music, and timing were impeccable! Danny on the saxophone was nothing short of perfect! We had guests come up to us all night asking about him and telling us how incredible his playing and singing were. The photo booth was a huge hit and had traffic from the beginning of the night! Phil and his team have been DJing parties for my families for years including my own Sweet Sixteen, I now had the pleasure of working with Phil again for my wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made. The entire process was so easy and the night of was an absolute blast. We had so many people compliment us on the music or saw it was the best wedding they had ever been to and people were out on the dance floor all night regardless of their age! We used Phil and team for our wedding at the Park Chateau and we could not believe the outstanding performance. Seeing the entire process come together was a thing of beauty. A DJ To Remember!
If you want nonstop bangers all night long, go with The Specialists! I was first introduced to Phil and his team over a decade ago when he played a friends' wedding. Since that wedding, both my best friend and I have hired The Specialists for our own big days!
The Specialists provide a DJ experience that is memorable. Not only will your guests have wonderful music all night long, but there are special touches that Phil will incorporate into the night to make it unique.
Phil worked with us on pricing and had a plethora of additional services we could add. We used their uplighting (which was synced up to the music!!) and opted for Dancing on the Clouds. I had very specific requests for the pre-ceremony playlist that he was very open to. He also is not afraid to use his many years in the business to offer suggestions to widen your perspective and enhance the evening.
It has been nearly a month since we got married and guests are still talking about our DJ. We are so happy to have had this incredibly professional and unique team at our wedding. Worth every penny!

First off, Phil supplied the most amazing music that kept the party going all night long. Now, let's talk about the saxophonist Danny that he brought to our wedding. Wow, what a talent! Dany not only played the saxophone like a pro but also blew us away with his beautiful voice. During the cocktail hour, his jazz performances created the perfect ambiance, and our guests couldn't stop raving about him.
It's no surprise that our guests loved Phil so much that some of them were already asking for his contact information for their own events. Phil's music selection and his ability to create a fantastic party atmosphere were simply outstanding. He kept the energy high, knew just the right songs to play, and made sure everyone had a blast.
What impressed us even more was Phil's exceptional control of the party and his seamless facilitation of all the ceremonies, including speeches and the horo dance. The Perfect DJ Experience for Our Wedding
My now-husband and I first reached out to The Entertainment Specialists because they are one of the DJs for the New York Red Bulls - and with both of us being season ticket holders, we were very familiar with their stadium-crowd work. We were thrilled to find out they also have a bunch of wedding experience. Phil was wonderful - he was very professional and easy to work with leading up to the wedding, and worked with us to figure out what add-ons would be best (or may not work well) for our wedding. The day-of team consisted of a DJ, Phil as the MC, a photobooth attendant, and a professional saxophone player. We were a bit hesitant about the sax at first but he was worth every penny! He handled cocktail hour and then joined in on most songs throughout the rest of reception. The Specialist Entertainment nailed our playlist and fully honored our do not play list. They perfectly read the room and we cannot recommend them enough.
(I know this is supposed to be a DJ review, but I couldn’t forget to mention how cool the photobooth was, and that our guests were able to choose the size of print they wanted to take home with them!)

Phil and his team helped make our wedding day fun and memorable! He was very responsive throughout the months (and even year) leading up to the wedding, meeting with us in person to make sure we were on the same page about the whole night. We made a lot of specific requests (dinner music, music not to play, etc.) that were easily accommodated. All in all, our dance floor was packed the whole night and we had a lot of people come up to us to compliment the DJ. You won't regret hiring the Specialists!

Run, don't walk to book Phil!
Four years ago, our friends had Phil DJ their wedding, and my husband and I had talked about him ever since. Fast forward to getting engaged and we knew we had to book him! Phil was wonderful to work with, and takes special attention to detail. We used him for our ceremony, had Danny the saxophonist play at our cocktail hour, and then had Danny and the percussionist (who’s name escapes me but we absolutely loved him!) at our reception. Danny sang and played the sax through dinner, which was amazing! Once dinner was over, the party really started! We didn’t give Phil much direction of what we wanted played through the night, but he absolutely read the crowd and the dance floor was packed all night, which was all we wanted! The most personal touch was when Phil made sure to play our second choice for our first dance song (we were indecisive) towards the end of the night, which meant so much to me.
Thank you SO much to Phil & company for making our night so amazing! Our guests (and the waitstaff!) raved about your services, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice!

Phil did a great job balancing our very different styles of music. He met with us to carefully plan out certain music for the ceremony as well as for our entrance to the reception. Phil was beyond phenomenal from our first meeting until days after our wedding. I think it’s safe to say that I had the most contact with Phil throughout the entire planning process than with any other vendor. I would highly recommend The Specialists Entertainment for any time you need a DJ, especially weddings. Phil and Frank truly made our wedding amazing. He worked with me personally, through several phone conferences, to make sure that our GoBo monogram, ceremony music, reception entrance music, first dance music, and reception music was absolutely perfect (yes, I was the bride who needed certain songs to start at exactly 26 seconds). They truly understood the importance of music choice throughout the whole reception and made sure not to play anything that we considered tacky or “typical wedding music.” We gave them some genres to work with and they nailed it. My husband and I had a personal moment when we took some staged first dance photos in the ballroom before opening it up to the guests. Out of nowhere, Frank started playing our first dance song, which I really thought was a beautiful, sentimental touch that not a lot of DJs would pick up on or do. The entire night, our dance floor was packed. Every single one of our guests, young and old, continue to comment on how great our DJ & MC were. These two work incredibly well together and really know how to keep the party going. From day one we felt like they truly cared about us, which is one of the most important aspects of running a great business. He was so easy to work with- always responded to texts and emails during the planning process and on the day of everything was amazing! The party was smooth and flawless. What can I say about The Specialists Entertainment except for exceptional entertainment and service! Phil did my SIL's wedding and it was a no brainer for us to go with him. He treats all of his couples like family, and had us laughing and smiling through every meet. We had some special mix requests and he far exceeded our dreams (he's even re-mixing a song for us that my husband missed during the reception!!). Ahead of our big day, we met in person to go through every little detail, and from the ceremony to reception, every moment was perfect. Phil is the perfect MC and had our guests on the dance floor all night! The uplighting and gobo we had were perfect for our reception room, and our guests made use of the photobooth all night long. I had the pleasure of working with Specialist Entertainment on THREE events, including my wedding this past Jan. Phillip and Frank are the utmost professionals–they get what clients want, they help you build the day of your dreams, and are such awesome people on top of that. We had a blast crafting our musical selection and I think I saw a bromance brewing between the Mister and Philip over a shared love for David Bowie music and movies. Phil!!!!! This post has been a long time coming. We got married this past August and we couldn’t have asked for a better Dj. First of all Phil is so organized he has a website where everything is laid out on what songs to choose, to specific activities to do. I personally think we were annoying because we constantly kept changing our mind how we wanted something done, but Phil never seemed bothered. He actually would give advices or even help out what to decide. Phil made this such an easy process for us and is so smooth with transitioning songs to another. No corny or wack DJ here. Phil is the whole package and very professional. He is also super hilarious, my family got a kick out of him. Not to mention I had him going probably crazy with my secret dancers performance for my husband. He kept that such a secret and it was so appreciated, considering I also told him last minute! My bad Phil but like I said before he is very professional and figures out every scenario. Love ya Phil! Hope to work with you in the future

A truly personalized package
From beginning to end, a wonderful experience. My wife and I were pretty dead set on a live band, until we met with Phillip and Frank. From the second we walked in the door of their beautiful office, we felt heard and cared for. Everything we wanted was possible, nothing was out of the question. Phil is an amazing DJ and person who helped me and my fiance plan out not only the music portion of our special night but the entire entertainment. Phil and his team were amazing! So easy and fun to work with leading up to the wedding. Not pushy with expensive add-ons and will keep it real about necessities in your package for your event. We upgraded our sound system last minute as recommended by Phil due to a much larger guest count than expected, and we were very satisfied with the result. We also had a saxophonist and percussionist which were great additions and added a unique and elegant touch. Pricing was within our budget and we really got so much for our money!
They really exceeded our expectations on the day of. They played all types of music and had the crowd up and moving the entire time!! Half of our guests were Portuguese, so we knew we wanted classic Portuguese party music played throughout the night. The flow of mixing the music up was just perfect and kept all guests out dancing no matter the genre.
We also had booked our photo booth through this vendor which turned out to be great as well. They offer 4x6 prints giving guests the option of framing their take homes.
Overall- highly recommend The Specialists Entertainment for any event.

Phil was professional, top quality, and an absolute blast. Our guests were up and dancing the ENTIRE time, which is exactly what you look for at a wedding. My husband and I gave Phil a list of songs, and trusted him to follow the vibe of the crowd. He was on point at all times! People are still bringing up how much of a party our wedding was, and say our DJ was “one of the best by far!” I couldn’t be happier with Phil’s professionalism and overall attitude. He had our wedding party hyped up for the grand entrance, and was genuinely excited and happy for us! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We also highly recommend his saxophonist and percussionist. They made our wedding have both a DJ and live band feel, which is often times what people struggle between. Phil and his team were nothing short of perfect, and our wedding was incredible because of him and his team!

We didn't even bother searching for a DJ for our wedding because my sister had him as her DJ for her wedding 13 years ago and I remembered how awesome he was then and how many people commented to my sister how amazing he was. So I know that Phil was the DJ to hire and my then fiance was quick to agree after meeting him!!!!! He is top notch and has been doing this for soooo long that he's the best of the best!! Phil is also the official DJ for the Red Bulls Soccer, as well as being international. He does weddings and other events all over----that just speaks volumes of his talent and how amazing he is!!!! From the time I contacted him to set up an appt to meet all the way to our big day, he was so responsive via email and text. He's not out to nickel and dime you either as I've heard from other couples who experienced that from other vendor they hired.He makes suggestions and reasons for his suggestions, but if its not what you want, he drops it and doesn't push. However, i think at one point i wanted to do something and he actually suggested i not do it and gave me reasons that i never thought of that made total sense. I can't remember what it was but i just remember that that is him being completely honest with you as to what works and what doesn't with his knowledge and experience. Obviously, if you really want something no matter what he'll do it but i just love his honesty. We had our wedding at Ravello in East Hanover and I remember him asking if we wanted uplighting ( think that was it) and i said i'm not sure because i think it would take away from the beautiful room that Ravello has for reception and he totally agreed. The day of our wedding was absolutely amazing!!! Phil and his team had everyone up dancing and I've heard from guests that they loved the mix he played and that it was so much fun!!! We used their photo stage and everyone loved it as well! Phil and The Specialists are spectacular!!!!

We hired Philip as our wedding DJ based on our photographer's recommendation. We wanted a great party where everyone is dancing and having fun and thought that the DJ was probably one of the most important part of the wedding. Unfortunately, we could not meet Philip in person before the wedding because we lived far and things were so hectic for us. It is a bit risky to hire a vendor without meeting them in person. However, Philip quickly became my favorite vendor even without meeting him! He was responsive, professional, and gave very helpful advice!! We got married in CT during a snowstorm, and he made it on time and was there to make sure that our wedding went on without a problem and stayed until the very end! He played all our favorite songs and made sure that everything ran smoothly. He can read the crowd and get the crowd going. We feel really lucky that Philip was our DJ. I would hire him all over again in a heartbeat! We HIGHLY recommend him!

I hired Phil for my wedding last month @ the Venetian in Garfield, NJ. Phil's a super cool guy who knows his stuff. My wife and I felt really comfortable working with him since our initial meeting at his house. He truly has your best interest at heart and even turned away certain things that would make him more money. (but we didn't necessarily need) Not many people would do that. Where do I begin, these guys ROCKED the house! What a fine group of professionals that we were honored to have at our wedding. They did a beautiful job with the ceremony music and had everyone engaged throughout the reception. We absolutely loved having them and they did a phenomenal job keeping the crowd up and dancing the entire time, which is something you don't often see. The beach ceremony had customized music that Phil helped us to select to keep it fresh and trendy. Throughout this whole process and planning, Phil was amazing with us in accommodating our various song requests and was helpful every step of the way in his recommendations when we unsure of certain things. The group consisted of a DJ, MC, Percussionist and Saxophonist, who created a perfect blend of tunes for all of our guests. I highly recommend this group - Music is such an important key to a wedding and having these memories stick to peoples minds. Why have an average wedding when you can hire this group to bring it to the next level.

ES provided the music for my daughter's wedding at Rosecliff Mansion in Newport, RI.. The band Mike Amado recommended (Young Love & Thrills) was outstanding..They brought down the house!..We are from Miami and music is very important! ..Mike was our DJ, as well as coordinator..He is very personable, accomodating, and professional..ES also provided the lighting and photobooth for the event...If music/entertainment is a priority for your event, ES is the one to go to. I couldn't have asked for better entertainment at my wedding!! Phil and DJ were AMAZING. We've received so many compliments on how much fun our wedding was. There was something for everyone while staying within our wishes. Phil knew exactly what type of party we wanted and he gave it to us. They did the music for the ceremony and the reception and everything went so smoothly from the first time we met to the breaking down of the equipment. We loved working with Phil for my son's Bar Mitzvah! He was really great at helping us figure out what we needed for our specific party without trying to talk us into extra unnecessary and costly add on's. We thought he was reasonable and worth every penny!! We have gotten a lot of feedback from our guests inquiring about the DJ and how great he was! He kept the energy up in the room without being too invasive and kept the kids attention and got the rest of the crowd involved as well. He took care of the flow of the party with ease and worked well with the facility and the staff. We had 2 dancers, one male and one female, who were very low key but wonderful with the crowd, just what we wanted. He also provided an open air photo booth with staff, and all sorts of props, which ran smoothly and was a fun activity for our guests. At the end we were handed a flash drive and went home with all the pictures. We highly recommend Phil and his team!

From the first time we met Phil Santos it felt like we were family. He was so calm, warm, and welcoming that I couldn’t help but feel at ease. He assured me that our Wedding would be a party to remember and boy was it!
Phil and I spoke many times and went over every detail before our Wedding on Aug. 13, 2016. He even thought of things that I didn’t realize that I needed like outdoor microphones and music for our outdoor ceremony. He went over countless songs with me to ensure the night would be exactly as I envisioned it.
Through The Specialists Entertainment we also booked a photo booth and a singer and saxophone player Danny, that wowed all of our guests. Danny was that touch of class throughout cocktail hour to add to the elegance of our evening. The photo booth was a fun addition to our celebration and allowed guests to go home with a little keep sake from our Wedding Day.
Phil Santos and his team at The Specialists Entertainment were nothing short of amazing that night. He and his assistant kept the dance floor packed all night long as promised. He was excellent at reading us and more importantly at reading the crowd!
