Very communicative and did an amazing job for both our wedding and our engagement

100000000/10 recommend Twig & Olive!! I hired them for my wedding on 9/21/24 and it is hard to put into words how absolutely amazing they are. As soon as I spoke with Doug in early 2023, I knew he was our guy. Doug knows his stuff and has 20+ years of experience to back it up. I cannot emphasize enough how much he was involved throughout the entire planning process, and what a saving grace he was for me! He always texted me back and answered all questions quickly, was quick to jump on the phone if I wanted to talk through something. My husband & I got to know Doug very well during our engagement shoot and more importantly, got comfortable getting our picture taken (I’m extremely awkward). Once I saw the amazing pictures, I learned to trust his process. Doug makes getting photos taken fun!! Not cheesy posing, just natural candid shots. In the months before our wedding, Twig & Olive sent us plenty of helpful planning guides. Doug knew I was stressing out quite a bit and created our complete wedding timeline from start to finish (which I was SO GRATEFUL for). He also connected with all of my other vendors to ensure everyone was on the same page.

I added a 2nd shooter for the day of and they were PHENOMENAL. I trusted Doug 100% to handle all things photography on the day of and knew I didn’t have to worry about a thing, rain or shine he was going to make it happen and that is exactly what he did. We fell behind schedule a bit (hair & makeup delay), but I never knew that until the next day. He directed everything so well in all areas and made sure we got all the shots that I wanted and then some. I received so many compliments from so many different people on how impressed they were with Doug, he was cracking jokes and making guests laugh, but he also meant business and made sure we have all the photos of our friends and family. I look forward to working with Twig & Olive in the future, thank you so much Doug!! I am absolutely obsessed with our wedding gallery and could not be happier.

If I could give them 100 stars I would. They are the most amazing people to work with. They were by far the best choice we made for our wedding. Doug guided us every step of the wedding planning process which we would have been lost without and he and Courtney were an absolute blast on the actual day. Even the guests loved them. They captured our day in a way I never could have imagined, and will forever treasure. You will not regret using them, they have life long clients in us for sure.

Where do I even begin??? I discovered Twig and Olive during my search for wedding photographers when one of my best friends recommended them to me. She wasn’t one of their clients, however she says she has followed them for quite some time on Instagram and when I told her what my wedding photography visions were, she said “Twig and Olive!” And I was like who and who??? Upon perusing through their portfolio, I was instantly in love. First of all, we are from New Jersey - we have a reputation for not being the nicest here, and speaking with Bobbi over the phone for our initial consultation, that midwest charm really comes through and it truly felt like being wrapped in a warm hug! We picked the package with 2 photographers + engagement session + anniversary session and the prices were competitive and more affordable compared to other photographers in our area that had a similar style. When Doug flew to NJ for our engagement session, we clicked immediately! He is so fun and made us feel so comfortable, and when Doug & Bobbi came back for our wedding, our families and friends said the same! They are so organized, so professional and worked well with all of our other vendors, and did I mention FUN??? They made us laugh, cry (in a good way), and they captured BEAUTIFUL photos. And it didn’t even stop there. The wedding package afterwards, the album, the gift prints, the packaging, everything - AMAZING! Their packaging is so well thought-out, and they truly make you feel like family and not just a client. I cannot recommend them enough. We loved the photos on Twig & Olive's website, and when we met with them, we knew we wanted to work with them. Bobbi was our photographer for both our engagement photos and for our wedding day. She did a great job of making us and the rest of the wedding party feel comfortable while getting pictures taken. We also liked that we didn't spend the whole day posing for photos, but rather got a lot of more candid photos taken so that we could really focus on the day itself. We highly recommend Twig & Olive!

Twig & Olive is exceptional! We loved everything about working with Twig & Olive for our engagement photos and wedding. Bobbi has a way of making you feel comfortable; she is so friendly, warm, and makes you feel relaxed in front of the camera even as somebody that doesn’t necessarily enjoy being in front of the camera. She helped the wedding day run so smoothly, capturing all of the special moments. And the photos are stunning and will be treasured forever! Cannot recommend them enough.

We found Twig & Olive online, after feeling slightly discouraged with wedding photographers. We took a look at Twig & Olive’s Instagram page and instantly fell in love with the vibe and style. Once we met Doug at our engagement photos we knew we made the right decision, Doug is funny, personable and we really hit it off with him. I couldn’t wait till the wedding day, leading up to the wedding day Doug was very helpful and let us know what was (and what wasn’t) realistic for what we could accomplish in the time we had.  Doug was a blast to work with on wedding day, everyone had positive things to say about him. Our only recommendation is to take more time with family photos. Once we got our gallery, they turned out so much better than we could have ever imagined. Twig & Olive is hands down the best photographer we’ve ever worked with, and we were lucky to have Courtney shoot our engagement session and wedding. They were our first choice for photographers, and were the first vendor we contacted as soon as we booked our venue.

We did our engagement session at a tree farm in December and Courtney came prepared with ideas for settings and poses. The session was fun and easy — it was the groom’s first time working with T&O and he was blown away by Courtney’s direction of the entire shoot.

T&O stayed in touch throughout our wedding planning so we would know when photos were going to be available, deadlines of when they needed information from us, and having a quick pre-wedding conversation to make sure she knew what we wanted and so that she’d be aware of any potential concerns.

On our wedding day, she was everywhere all the time. It’s amazing how many moments she captured. The photos tell the entire story of our wedding day: the wedding party getting ready, the details of our venue and all the day’s festivities. We will cherish these pictures forever. Some of them serve as reminders of ephemeral moments we had nearly forgotten in the stress of our big day. :-)

She and her crew knew how and when to capture beautiful, unique moments. For example, Courtney made sure to grab us for photos as the sun set over Lake Mendota. In the blur of our wedding reception, we certainly would have missed this ourselves, and it speaks to her professionalism and experience as a photographer to know exactly how and when to get the most of out a special, fleeting moment.

Our pictures were perfect. That’s all there really is to say. Our photographers were incredible to work with, supportive and super helpful making sure we got all the shots we wanted, and plenty that we didn’t even think of but looked beautiful. There are perfect pictures from the ceremony, from the reception. Twig and Olive did a great job telling the whole story of our day, getting multiple views of all the key moments, and putting together a beautiful portfolio of pictures. They did an amazing job working with our videographers to make sure neither were stepping on the other’s toes/get in each other’s shots. We can’t express our gratitude to them for providing us with all the memories. Thank you!!

I used to babysit for Doug and Courtney when I was in college. I always admired their work, so it was my dream to have them capture my own wedding. I reached out to them after I got engaged and they were able to put me in their calendar! The whole day was perfect with Doug keeping things light and cheery, goofy, and he really worked well with the kids. Our families were super impressed with his perfect mix of professionalism and silliness! My jaw dropped when I saw the photos. I knew they’d be great, but our wedding was small and in our backyard so I wasn’t expecting anything crazy. Crazy beautiful is what we got! To top it off, they were willing to go above and beyond for us... we forgot to iron my husband’s tie, so I noticed a huge fold in the blush tie in the photos... unsure if there was anything do about it (I can’t help it, I’m somewhat of a perfectionist), Doug said “yes, we can fix that.” Within a few days all of the photos with the wrinkly tie were sent back fixed and absolutely perfect!! If you want to have a fun time with your photographer, have prepared professionals who can organize entire family photos in a flash, and have stunning photos, you’ve got to go with Twig and Olive Photography!!
