Facilities and Capacity
Couples can choose to exchange vows in the tranquil outdoors. A crisp-white fence extends into a fairy tale arch, overlooking a scenic garden that is flanked on either side by wooden gazebos. The landscape lends itself to countless photo opportunities for the happy couple and their loved ones. Afterward, guests can enjoy a cocktail by the quaint outdoor bar. The reception takes place in the traditional barn, and it is suitable for gatherings of up to 140 guests. The cream exterior offers a pleasing contrast to the greenery surrounding the venue. Inside, the space is framed by exposed wooden beams and a hard-wood floor. Here and there, the ceiling beams are draped with equine accessories such as saddles and bridles, adding to the authenticity of this rustic building. Exposed bulb string lights hang above the pristine table settings, which complement the romantic ambiance. Guests can congregate by the outdoor firepit following the meal, before dancing the night away.
The Salem Herbfarm is available for couples to rent from May to the end of October. You can avail of an in-house event coordinator should you wish to host your rehearsal dinner or wedding celebration at this location. The dedicated team offers a spacious catering room for setup and serving. The owners provide barn tables and chairs to patrons, and couples are free to procure their own design and decor pieces. You can customize all aspects of your day, and arrange for preferred caterers, entertainment, and beverage providers to fulfill your wedding vision.
The original farmhouse at this location dates all the way back to 1840. Over the years, a number of outhouses have been added to the grounds. Since 1915, The Salem Herbfarm has been passed down through generations of the same family. The farm has served many functions since its establishment, from chicken coops to hay barns. In more recent times, it is home to The Salem Herbfarm Workshop and lends itself as a bespoke wedding destination.

Best venue, amazing owners
My husband and I saw this place online and it was NOTHING like the pictures, initially. We were in awe, and fell in love with it from the start. Joe and Annie went above and beyond for us and stood behind us every step of the way, even through COVID. They were willing to do whatever it took to make things perfect. We went several times just to see how things were blooming, all the projects joe did; etc. between November and our wedding on 10/10. Joe is always building, painting, laying stone, always something. Every visit is more beautiful than the last. We highly recommend this venue and I am already trying to figure out the next event I can plan there!Sent on 10/20/2020

Salem Herbfarm: Fun and beautiful venue run by great people
In 2016 - before the recent improvements - my eldest daughter and her husband got married at "the Herbfarm" - and my wife (not my daughter's mom) and I had our wedding reception there. The Herbfarm was a great venue then and it's spectacular now. More, clients and guests won't find more diligent, attentive, practical and honest hosts than the owners, Anne and Joe Duncan.Sent on 02/15/2020
