A non-denominational officiant with more than 30 years of wedding experience, Robbin has a relaxed demeanor and is dedicated to creating custom ceremonies that are unique to you as a couple. The Rite Officiant believes that your traditions and beliefs are important and should be highlighted in your ceremony. He has written and performed ceremonies that have combined many cultures and beliefs. He also offers coaching services for friends and family if you wish to have them lead your ceremony. Whichever type of ceremony you desire, Robbin will ensure that it is a truly special and memorable occasion. And Yes, he has also performed ceremonies for theme (Steampunk, Gothic, etc...) weddings. Robbin is creative, fun, and adventurous.
Services Offered
The Rite Officiant offers pre-written or fully customized vows for your special day. Most ceremony types can be accommodated, including civil unions, religious and non-religious ceremonies, and vow renewals. Robbin also welcomes an array of beliefs and traditions, so your ceremony will be personal and meaningful. Rehearsal services are also offered if desired.
Additionally, Simple solemnization of documents is also provided. You and your fiance, 2 witnesses at least 18yrs of age, and the officiant are all that is needed to simply witness and file marriage licenses. Ask Robbin about the details.

If your dream is to have a beloved friend or family member perform your marriage ceremony, The Rite Officiant is happy to help. Robbin offers coaching services, including help with writing custom ceremonies, to ensure a beautiful experience for all.

Fairytales really do come true
Robbin officiated our wedding last August. We had the wedding of our absolute dreams and could not have picked a better person to officiate the event. Robbin was so kind and attentive to our need for the day. He was punctual, articulate and brought a sense of calm to an otherwise very stressful and busy day. I also want to say that his words during the ceremony itself were very beautiful. So much so that many people who attended the wedding have come up to me, even months later, and asked me about who Robbin was and how much of an impact his words had on them. It was a dream event and a beautiful ceremony and thanks to Robbin’s discrete professionalism and his ability to command a room with his voice and words it’s one that will be cherished by not only my husband and me but also by the guests. So if you are wondering if this is the “rite” person for the job look no further.

Heartfelt & Personal
The ceremony Robbin created was so perfect for us! He told our story in such a meaningful way that had us and our guests smiling, laughing and fighting to hold back the tears. The best officiant out there!
Robbin was the most perfect fit for our wedding! He added so much character to our ceremony while making it feel personal to us. Robbin was timely, professional, and very kind and humorous. Wedding Ceremony Review for Robbin Yelverton, Officiant
Laura and I are forever Thankful to Robbin for the wonderful Wedding Ceremony he performed for us at the Book Tower in Detroit. He is a great speaker, and added in some humor to that helped keep the spirit of the ceremony very positive and engaging. We had a large number of guests comment to us how much they enjoyed the wedding Ceremony and what a great job Robbin did as our officiant.
Robbin also made an excellent suggestion that we add a Hand Fasting segment to the ceremony, where it enabled us to involve all 4 of our sons. It was a meaningful part of the ceremony. Thank you Robbin for giving us such a memorable, classy, and special Wedding ceremony as our officiant.
