Fairytales really do come true
Robbin officiated our wedding last August. We had the wedding of our absolute dreams and could not have picked a better person to officiate the event. Robbin was so kind and attentive to our need for the day. He was punctual, articulate and brought a sense of calm to an otherwise very stressful and busy day. I also want to say that his words during the ceremony itself were very beautiful. So much so that many people who attended the wedding have come up to me, even months later, and asked me about who Robbin was and how much of an impact his words had on them. It was a dream event and a beautiful ceremony and thanks to Robbin’s discrete professionalism and his ability to command a room with his voice and words it’s one that will be cherished by not only my husband and me but also by the guests. So if you are wondering if this is the “rite” person for the job look no further.

My husband and I hired Robbin from The Rite Officiant to officiate our wedding ceremony. We were very pleased. We are a mature couple and this was the second marriage for each of us. Robbin tailored the ceremony to reflect our personal situation. Communication with Robbin was excellent from start to finish. The pricing was very reasonable for the service provided. There is no other officiant better than this guy!
Robbin was absolutely wonderful to work with! c: He was very easygoing to talk with and he has excellent communication skills and is great at public speaking and managing a crowd. The ceremony he hosted for us was beautifully written and personalized which made it feel more sentimental. He had lots of great advice and guidance throughout our time working with him and was nothing but wonderful! Would highly recommend!

Wedding Ceremony Review for Robbin Yelverton, Officiant
Laura and I are forever Thankful to Robbin for the wonderful Wedding Ceremony he performed for us at the Book Tower in Detroit. He is a great speaker, and added in some humor to that helped keep the spirit of the ceremony very positive and engaging. We had a large number of guests comment to us how much they enjoyed the wedding Ceremony and what a great job Robbin did as our officiant.
Robbin also made an excellent suggestion that we add a Hand Fasting segment to the ceremony, where it enabled us to involve all 4 of our sons. It was a meaningful part of the ceremony. Thank you Robbin for giving us such a memorable, classy, and special Wedding ceremony as our officiant.

Book Robbin as quickly as you can!
Robbin was the best choice in all of our wonderful wedding planning. He is professional and warm. He made sure that the ceremony would be done exactly as we wanted, and gave great suggestions when we asked. Three of our guests were off-duty wedding photographers and wedding DJs, and after the ceremony they said that Robbin was the best officiant they had encountered. I am thankful that we hired him and wholeheartedly endorse him.

From the moment we met Robbin, we knew we would love working with him! He created a beautiful story of our relationship after only 1 meeting. He included everything we wanted - our journey from start to finish, multiple jokes, and tasteful humor. During our rehearsal, Robbin was professional and his experience showed throughout. You will not be disappointed!!!
Robbin is the man—plain and simple!!! My now husband and I were worried hiring an officiant we hadn’t met and didn’t know personally. We found The Rite Officiant and from day one he was absolutely amazing to work with. We had video calls and got comfortable with each other. He also coordinated our rehearsal (THANK GOODNESS) and was so funny, personable, and walked us through every single thing that would be taking place during our ceremony, with our feedback and review of course. He also made sure to give everyone tips and tricks to ease nerves as we were all wedding newbies! If you’re looking for a reliable, very well spoken, and helpful officiant, definitely meet with The Rite Officiant. Can’t recommend him enough.

It is so important to find an officiant that you connect with and can trust to guide you through the process and the rehearsal. Ceremonies that run smoothly and with no issues do not just happen by themselves. It takes planning, coordinating and experience to identify and avoid the pitfalls and potential issues. So many couples have never been in a wedding party much less served as the the guests of honor!!! And most wedding attendants are not always focused and willing to listen. As a former high school teacher and a wedding professional for over 35 years, I have no problem getting peoples attention, keeping them focused and getting the "job" done. A well run rehearsal should take no more than 45 minutes to an hour. But that only happens when everyone is one time, listens and all the answers to the questions have been decided BEFORE you get to the rehearsal. You dont need 35 opinions on what you should do from people who are not the ones getting married. There are too many moving parts to just let things happen! I try to settle all of those questions in advance!
But enough about this LOL..... I am so happy that you were pleased with my services and I wish you sooooo many years of happiness.

Touching and poignant ceremony brought this Mom-of-the-groom to tears!
Robin wrote a beautiful, personalized ceremony that had an appropriate combination of meaningful and lighthearted sentiments. Fantastic wedding officiant
Robbin gave us a beautiful and very customized ceremony for our wedding. We had a lot of our guests come up and tell us that they thought he was personal friend or someone who we had known for long time with just how well his ceremony fit us as a couple. He also encouraged us try a hand tying ceremony which we absolutely loved, and his meticulous planning really helped us figure out what we even wanted our ceremony to look like. Amazing officiant
Robbin performed a small service for us recently and he did an amazing job. All of our family members commented after the wedding about how great he was and how natural and warm the service felt despite being short. Before the wedding itself Robbin was quick to respond to questions and updates, and the run through on Zoom made us feel comfortable and prepared for the wedding. Robbin was amazing. Things got so busy with us planning the wedding and then our daily lives on top of it, we did not end up meeting him for the first time until 1 week prior to the wedding. He asked us many questions and shared experiences. Our next meeting before the wedding you would have thought he had known us for awhile. His wedding program was amazing. Best decision we made!
It's been 3 weeks since we got married and I'm still getting so many compliments about Robbin! He was unbelievable. The number one thing I was looking for in an officiant was someone that could make it seem like they had known us for years. Someone that would take in all of the personal details about us and tell a story. He had people laughing, smiling, and crying throughout our ceremony - all for the right reasons!
We also presented an odd request - to do a tequila shot during the ceremony! This is something that had a story behind it was very special to us. He absolutely nailed it and worked it into his speech so flawlessly so that it made it seem normal.
We also had a unexpected event happen during our ceremony that he handled very well. He was professional and compassionate, he got so many compliments on how we acknowledged the incident, then proceeded without missing a beat. He was truly the prefect person for the job and I would recommend him every single time.

All I can say is: WOW. Robbin truly did such a wonderful job officiating our ceremony. So many of our guests told my now husband and I how much they loved our officiant, they loved everything he said, they thought the “service” was beautifully worded and so special. Multiple people asked how long I have known him, they all thought Robbin knew my husband and I for years he just captured us so well in the ceremony. We had only met/spoke with Robbin 2 times to go over the ceremony. He also came to rehearsal and that was super great since we needed the guidance of how everything was going to go. I highly recommend Robbin if you need an officiant.

We had a very specific, very minimal ceremony in mind and Robbin was so kind and helpful in helping us achieve that vision! Our ceremony was beautiful, the handfasting he performed was thoughtful and tear inducing. We couldn’t be happier with his choices and are so glad we chose Robbin!

Dream Winter Wedding!
I can not say enough nice things about Robbin. My husband and I are so happy that we chose him to officiate our wedding. Robbin is enthusiastic, and well spoken. Through our few meeting Robbin was able to prepare an amazing ceremony that felt like he had known us for years. Every time I emailed Robbin with a question he was quick to respond. Robbin recently officiated our wedding, and he did a marvelous job! He's easy to work with, has a great sense of humor, and makes you feel so at ease. We do not live in the same area in Michigan, so we were happy he was willing to meet virtually to discuss our ceremony. He has years of experience and knowledge and shared helpful hints and tips fo us to rely on our bridal party on the dos and don'ts since we chose not to have a rehearsal the day before. I would highly recommend him to any future couple.

Amazing officiant!
Robbin was amazing! The County Clerk's office messed up and put the wrong date of application on our marriage license. Robbin pointed this out to us and accommodated us immediately. We were able to have our wedding ceremony, albeit last minute! It was a crazy and wonderful moment, and we cannot have been more grateful with Robbin for supporting our last-minute request. Whether you plan to get married in a month, or in a year from now, Robbin is the officiant for you!

The best officiant!
We got married on July 25th in the middle of the pandemic and every step of the way Robbin was so easy to work with! He created our ceremony to fit our needs and was flexible with any changes we needed from COVID-19. We would recommend him to ANYONE for their wedding. He was so professional and easy to talk to. We couldn't be happier with our decision to use Robbin as our officiant! The pandemic unfortunately made us have to change our plans and we really couldn't finalize anything until the week before. Robbin was more than flexible, warm, and the ceremony he wrote for us exceeded every expectation we had. We weren't a couple that wanted to write custom vows, but the ceremony still felt personalized enough to truly capture our relationship. I had several of my guests comment on how wonderful the ceremony was and how approachable and kind he is. He's very organized and thorough during the planning process, which put us at ease knowing we didn't miss any details and he helped walk us through the entire process so we felt comfortable knowing what to expect. Best decision we made!!!
Choosing Robbin what is the best decision that we made! He was extremely professional and experienced in his work. He took the time to go through every detail, from wedding vows to even ceremony tips and insights. He was willing to pass on his wisdom and expertise to us and made sure our day was flawless. We had a small wedding, with no rehearsal yet with his guidance, it was beautiful and perfect in every way. He took control of the ceremony and made sure everyone was on the same page. He kept reminding us it was our day and we deserved to be happy, no matter what others thought. He also did our boutonnieres and floral arrangements for the cake. Both turned out absolutely beautiful!
We are truly happy we decided to go with Robbin! We now know we did not hire just a professional and experienced officiant but we walked away with a friend that truly cared. If you were looking for an officiant there’s no reason to look any further, you found the right person to marry you!

You will not regret choosing Robbin to be apart of your special day! Wedding planning is so stressful... I can definitely say mine was. But to be honest, the only part of my planning process that wasn’t was working with Robbin. My husband and I heard about Robbin through our venue and I randomly gave him a call one day. Just from speaking with him on the phone, I knew he was the one I wanted to officiate my wedding. Robbin is very flexible and accommodating when it comes to scheduling. We met with him after work hours on a weekday which worked for us and I’m sure most working couples. After only one meeting, he put together the most beautiful ceremony. It was like he had known us for a long time and our guests felt that way as well. All we asked for was a simple ceremony that was personal and reflected us.. and Robbin did just that! Our guests were smiling, laughing and crying (in a good way) throughout the ceremony all thanks to Robbin! Please check one item off your to do list today and call The Rite Officiant! You will not regret it!

Robbin was absolutely the best part of our wedding! He worked with our family- it was a second marriage for both my husband and I and we had children. He made it so special for the children! He included them in something called a ribbon ceremony where our children were each represented by a color. They loved it! There was not a dry eye at the ceremony! I found Robbin through WeddingWire reviews, so I figured I'd pay it forward. He was amazing. He did research on us as a couple even before our first meeting, and our first meeting felt like making a new friend. We talked and laughed and he asked us questions and we all told stories. If you just want to hurry up and get it over with, Robbin is not the one for you. But if you want to work with someone who makes you feel like a friend instead of a business transaction, he's your guy! Robbin is so much fun, full of energy, humor, and warmth. It was very easy and a true joy to work with him. He wrote a beautiful ceremony for us with our input, our backgrounds and history together as a couple. I loved the amount of detail he put into everything, even the meaning behind the colors of our handfasting ribbons! That evening, I received numerous compliments from guests about how much they loved our ceremony. The Rite Officiant was the Right Choice!
Robbin officiated our wedding ceremony on October 4th, 2019. We were very indecisive about what we wanted included in our ceremony, and Robbin helped us every step away. With very little direction given, Robbin was able to compose the most perfect ceremony incorporating the perfect amount of religion, humor, and our own personalities. We met with Robbin on two separate occasions- the first being a "get to know you" meeting, and the second being a final review of the ceremony. Robbin was personable and responsive to all of our requests, questions, and changes. The day of, Robbin was on time, professional, and a great addition to our wedding. Robbin made this ceremony so personal and specific to this couple. I felt as though he knew them for a lifetime. Fun stories and sayings specific to the couple he was marrying. He was fun, made laughs, and kept the guests in tune to the ceremony the entire time. One of the best ceremonies I’ve ever attended!!

Perfect for our intimate gathering
Robbin was an absolute delight. He surprised us with adding custom "touches" to our vows that were just perfect. He was also unphased by a bit of weather interruption that left us scrambling a bit .... all in great humor.

Awesome experience from start to finish!
We were lucky enough to have Robbin be the officiant for our wedding on 5.18.2019 at the Dearborn Inn! The process was smooth and he reduced our stress level by taking into account everything we asked to be included in the ceremony script. He was very professional and helpful the night of the ceremony rehearsal/wedding day, but also felt like a friend not just a vendor. I would recommend Robbin to any couple looking for an enjoyable and memorable ceremony experience!

Robbin Yelverton did an amazing job for my son's wedding on September 8. The ceremony he wrote was official and professional, combined with humor and light-heartedness. This past July I had the honor of planning the wedding of a very special client's daughter at their home. When they asked me for everything including music, food, flowers, rentals and an officiant. I called The Rite Officiant, Robbin Yelverton!
He was amazing from beginning to end. His personality blended with my client's family and he made them very comfortable, it was like he became a part of the family. When I watched the ceremony I was amazed at how much he knew about this family and he spoke eloquently bringing laughs, love and smiles! I highly recommend Robbin to anyone who asks!
I must also mention he has an amazing florist company Blumz by JRDesigns that impressed not only me but my clients when he hit their vision out of the park. A beautiful garden wedding it was!

From the first phone call to our meeting in person, we knew we wanted Robbin to be our Officiant. Robbin was the perfect officiant for us!!! We had a small ceremony (with us and our children), but in a grand venue (the Guardian Building), and we wanted it to be a very special family event. We also wanted to incorporate both Catholic and Buddhist elements in a unique way, and we also wanted to sing songs to each other. Robbin is a fantastic individual. When you think about a marriage, ceremony and vows one word comes to mind: special. Robbin is just that, special, and he makes the ceremony special by tailoring it to you and your spouse. He takes the time to get to know you so he can write very meaningful vows that only apply to you. I called Robbin and said, we want to get married but we want nothing traditional. We want random day of the week in 4 weeks and just us. He gave us the great idea of a pop up wedding on Belle Isle which was perfect for us. He even made the beautiful flowers! We had such a great experience with Robbin as our wedding officiant. Robbin from the first meeting Sandi and I had with him he made us feel relaxed and comfortable with him and the whole experience. Robbin listened to what Sandi and I told him regarding what type of ceremony we wanted, our life together, and family. Unfortunately there are only 5 stars to rank Robbin with because he deserves 10 for everything he did for Sandi and my wedding day. If you are looking for a wedding officiant I can not recommend Robbin enough.

Robbin was an excellent officiant. Originally, we asked a friend to marry us, but she had to back out last minute. Robbin was able to quickly pick up where she left off and delivered an excellent ceremony. It had a very warm tone that was also funny without being silly. We have received several compliments on our choice of officiant, and we wouldn't have changed a thing.

I loved Robbin as he felt like family. He was so very professional yet, personable at the same time. The flowers were exceptional, and so beautiful as he took so much time on them to make our day special. Our Ceremony was also exceptional and everyone said that they have never seen such a beautiful ceremony. Robbin's delivery made my Ceremony perfect. Robbin made me feel at ease with his sweet and funny personality as I was very emotional before I walked down the isle. From my heart and Mo's heart, thank you Robbin for making our day special and thank you BLUMZ for the stunning spray of flowers and bouquets. We will be ordering calla lily's every year from BLUMZ for our anniversary.

Robbin was the most incredible addition to our wedding ceremony. We have received multiple compliments on how impressed our guests were with the vows he wrote for us, and how perfect they were for us. His personality and attention to detail are top notch. You can tell he genuinely loves his job and we would highly recommend working with him on your special day.

Robbin was simply amazing! He put together a personalized ceremony for us and even took the time to research Celtic & Scottish blessings for my Scottish groom. He is a wonderful person and the ceremony was absolutely perfect.

Robbin gladly agreed to do our wedding with less than a few weeks notice to be held on the date and time of our choice. He was very professional, discussed the process in advance, and was early to the ceremony. Robbin made the process very smooth and added a very calming presence to what can be a nervous ceremony. I highly recommend Robbin.

Meet with him. Tell him what you want. We met with him for about 1.5 hours. He told us he would write the ceremony and we could make changes to it. He NAILED IT the first draft. Family and friends told us it was the most heartfelt ceremony they have been to. We highly recommend using him.

As a wedding vendor, I particularly like referring Robbin to my clients because of his natural comfort level speaking in front of people. It translates to a very natural ceremony where I perceive him to be present with the couple. To be clear, I've watched many officiants read from a book in almost a monotonous way - the result is a ceremony that is less personal, more dry and not as special for the couple. Robbin's style is completely opposite of this. He is warm, present, comfortable, caring and flexible. Our team highly recommends his services.

Robbin Yelverton was the officiant for my daughter's wedding this past Saturday.
As the mother of the bride (MOB), I was truly moved by the detail, creativity and personalization Robbin put into leading the ceremony. While he is very conscientious, he made everything very entertaining and enjoyable as well.
We were very pleased with the way it all went.

Robbin was incredible. We were comfortable with him right away and he knew exactly how to make the perfect ceremony to match our story and our personalities. I definitely recommend Robbin for any couple tying the knot!
In the beginning months some of the emailing was sporadic but that was quickly rectified and we felt a million times better once we met with him. It seems like facebook is the quickest way for him to get back with you. I would recommend him to everyone! My NEW HUSBAND, and are are pretty reserved and shy at times. Robbin was able to see that and make our wedding special for us and I could not be more happy with how it all turned out.

Robbin made everything run smoothly and beautifully
Robbin customized our service to meet our needs. He was extremely professional and took control of the ceremony when it was time, but with a gentle touch.
