About

The Pond at Lazy O Farm is a rustic wedding venue in Smithfield, North Carolina. This event space is surrounded by a family farm and the natural beauty of the countryside. Their cottage and two barns overlook an 8.5 acre pond and rolling farmland with rustic elegance. Plus, they have a beautiful pier and front porch that will provide the perfect backdrop for your ceremony. Guests can enjoy refreshments and mingle by the water’s edge before strolling over to the barn for the reception. For a private country style wedding, book now!

Facilities and Capacity

With a variety of options to choose from, you have the opportunity to pick the location of your ceremony and reception. Their featured event spaces include The Big Barn, which is great for wedding receptions and can accommodate 150 guests inside with room for 100 more people under a covered terrace that overlooks the pond. The Little Barn is perfect for more intimate gatherings as it can accommodate approximately 50-100 guests inside and another 100 on the outside porch. You and your wedding party can get ready in The Cottage with you and your loved one using your respective dressing suites that they provide.

Services Offered

The Pond at Lazy O Farm offers several wedding packages that include the barn of your choice or the entire venue, in addition to the cottage, ceremony chairs, reception tables and chairs, cocktail tables, picnic tables, use of their arbors, decorations, benches and more. Plus, if you have no time to decorate, they will gladly do the work for you for an additional charge as long as you tell them what you want. Whether you are a classic bride, shabby chic, or elegant southern charm — they are versatile and will work hard to make sure your wedding day is exactly how you want it to be. Their other wedding event services include the following:

Couldn’t ask for more

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and Tami and Dave did so much to contribute to it! The venue is GORGEOUS, Tami and Dave are so detail oriented and ready to help and accommodate, so friendly and easy to talk to, and the fact that I didn’t have to buy any decorations was icing on the cake. I can’t imagine having a better experience. Tami and Dave truly go out of their way to make your day exactly what you want

Thank you for all of the memories you have allowed us to share in this little piece of paradise! Our family rented the cottage over thanksgiving break. It was a wonderful place to relax and unwind. I would highly recommend The Pond at Lazy O Farm.

Used venue for our 50th Wedding Anniversary... We had a wonderful time with our whole family staying in The Cottage, kids playing in the water, games, low country boil... Easy Breezy and lots of fun!
