Located in Syracuse, New York, The Oncenter is a wedding venue that offers a selection of banquet hall-style facilities for soon-to-be newlyweds to choose from. Brimming with urban charm, this Upstate New York gem features a wide range of distinctive and dynamic event spaces capable of hosting milestone occasions. You and your significant other are invited to enjoy a truly unforgettable wedding in the heart of the Salt City. Wedding reservations are available for events taking place within 12 months. Our venue is best suited for weddings with 250+ guests.

Facilities and Capacity

From toned-down celebrations to large-scale events, The Oncenter is able to accommodate weddings of all sizes. Your nearest and dearest will have easy access to the facilities via an enclosed walkway that connects the venue to a 1000-car parking garage. The venue comprises the upscale Convention Center, historic War Memorial Arena, and three distinctive Civic Center theaters. Boasting an exhibit hall, ballroom, atrium, and several foyer areas, the dynamic Convention Center has ample space for dining and dancing. Home to the Syracuse Crunch hockey team, the War Memorial Arena is just as versatile and can be customized to suit your aesthetic preferences. The Civic Center features spacious lobby areas for cocktail hours and receptions, along with its three theaters. Here, couples can enjoy their bridal shower, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception.

The Oncenter offers an array of services tailored to make sure that you experience the once-in-a-lifetime occasion that you have always imagined. Led by a seasoned on-site wedding manager, their team will be on-hand to provide assistance where necessary. From coordination to event set-up and breakdown, they aim to attend to every detail of your big day. Various event items will be provided, including chairs, tables, drapery, a dance floor, and lighting equipment. Food services are available courtesy of SAVOR, the venue’s exclusive caterer. Spearheaded by their experienced Executive Chef, this catering service will work with you to craft a personalized menu. A variety of dining options is on offer, including family-style meals, buffets, and seated dinners.

Oncenter Wedding Venue

The Oncenter is a beautiful option for your wedding. We shopped around and found it to be our favorite site. Nicole, was very helpful and put together a package for us. She was very flexible and made adjustments throughout the process. When our plans had to change because of Covid the venue was more than accommodating. We were very satisfied with our experience.

Excellent! Had the BEST time!

I had a great experience with the wedding/event coordinators and the staff! Our guests loved the staff and the staff loved our guests. Amazing food, decor, flexible space, couldn’t be happier!

Exactly what we hoped for

Our experience working with the Oncenter for our wedding was great! From the very beginning they were flexible with our preferences and vision for our wedding. Tom and Nicole worked with us for the entirety of our planning and were available to answer our many questions and help us make our day exactly what we were envisioning! We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at the Oncenter and all the spaces we used were beautiful. The food was AMAZING, all of our guests raved about everything that was served. We were able to have a food tasting months before the wedding and it was hard for us to choose because everything was so delicious. The staff were all very professional and helpful, and Juanita was so sweet to us! (She served us for the tasting as well as on the wedding night! It was nice to see a familiar face). The whole planning process including the day of the wedding went smoothly and we could not be happier with our experience working with everyone at the Oncenter!

I'm going to be completely honest - The Oncenter was not our first choice for our wedding. We had looked around Syracuse for a great location, and thought we had found one, but the prices and the people were not as nice and helpful as we had hoped. I went to a bridal show at The Oncenter and that is when my mother introduced me to Julianna. I remember her telling me to just come in for a quick meeting to see what they could do, but they obviously wanted me to choose the location I felt was right for my wedding, which helped take off some of the pressure. When we met with Julianna, my fiancé and I were sold - she and I immediately hit it off and the rest was history! She is one of the nicest people I've ever met, and you can tell that she loves what she does (and she's phenomenal at it!) Julianna made sure that everything we wanted was accomplished (even going above and beyond to have The Oncenter build us a s'mores bar!) and she worked with our budget to make sure that we got what we wanted without going over, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire process. The food was phenomenal and the venue looked like a dream (both of which people are still talking about, three months after the wedding!) I really cannot say enough good things about The Oncenter, Julianna and the staff there. They made our special day truly magical, and if I had to go back and do it all again, I wouldn't change a thing!

Julianna was the BEST. She made sure each and every one of my concerns was addressed, and she went out of her way to help make our special day a reality. Despite our reception being on a holiday weekend, Julianna made sure she was always available to help with any last minute changes or concerns. Our reception was everything I could have hoped it would be!! And thank you to chef Kyle as well, for an amazing buffet spread!

Meghan was amazing to work with at the Oncenter and so great in dealing with all of the attention to details! She was quick to get back to us all the time and even offered to let us text her questions at any time. She responded to emails even when she was on her days off. Our reception turned out beautifully and was exactly what I pictured. With such a large company we had many options to personalize our event to fit us as a couple!!
