The Jayhawk Club is a country club venue that offers both indoor and outdoor settings for your special day. This facility accommodates up to 350 guests, so you can host the large wedding of your dreams. If you are seeking an indoor wedding, choose from the Sunflower Ballroom or modern-style barn for your indoor ceremony and reception. The Sunflower Ballroom is aptly named for being bright, spacious and warmly lit with modern ceiling lamps that feature a unique orbital stole. The ceiling itself is peaked, cream-colored, and accented by polished dark wood beams. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer a panoramic view of the surrounding golf course; these windows also welcome plenty of natural light for a cheery and breathable atmosphere. The indoor facility also comes equipped with a dance floor. Couples can also enjoy an outdoor wedding among the golf course landscape with a gorgeous view of open blue skies and surrounding trees. For additional atmosphere, the golf course also features a trickling artificial waterfall surrounded by hedges with sunny yellow flowers, making this venue perfect for spring and summertime weddings. A bridal suite and get-ready rooms are available for both indoor and outdoor celebrations. This venue is also ideal for hosting rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, and other wedding-related affairs. For more casual events, couples may choose to host a dinner beside the resort-style luxury pool.

The Jayhawk Club is hands down one of the best venues we have worked with from a vendor perspective!
First and most importantly, the staff is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! Our experience first started out with Samantha. Samantha is the Sales and Event Manager at the Jayhawk Club, of which her title should be “The Jack Of All Trades, Event Mastermind”. Samantha is the most kind, knowledgable, helpful, and organized person you will every meet! She had all of the information when I needed it and had very quick replies to any emails or questions that arose through the planning process. Samantha knew the entire venue inside and out and was incredibly helpful not only during the planning process, but during the wedding as well! On the day of the wedding we were introduced to Jamie. Jamie did everything food and beverage management wise. She like all of the other staff went above and beyond her duties to assist us in any way possible that we needed. Need an extension cord? She’s running it to you. Have an issue with a DJ not bringing a speaker for ceremony? The girls were problem solving and on it! The day would not have been a success without both Samatha and Jamie!
The venue and property itself is absolutely stunning! Very clean, beautiful facilities that were very well maintained. This venue is one that needs very minimal decor because it is stunning all on it’s own. Can you decorate and have extravagant decor? Absolutely! But for the minimal bride, it is truly stunning and we had several comments all night from the guests on how beautiful it was!
Absolutely Amazing
First Pitch Banquet @ The Jayhawk Club
The Events Manager, Samantha, was a huge help in our planning process. She is extremely responsive and knowledgeable about the club. We were able to do a site visit to analyze how much space we had to work with, and determine where we wanted to do our inaugural silent auction. The additional tables, linens, and setup were not a problem for Sam and her team. All of our needs were met with ease! Samantha helped us hit it out of the park on all aspects!
The food we chose for the event was very affordable and went over well with all guests. The kids meal of chicken strips and mac and cheese in particular, were WELL received - haha! The fudge chocolate torte was the star of the show for the adult diners! They had decent menu selections for us to choose from, and the multiple bar package choices were perfect for our two bar needs.
We will definitely be back to the Jayhawk Club for our next Lawrence event. The team is awesome, venue is spacious, it's in a good central location, and does a great job representing the Jayhawk brand!
