Wedding Venues in Lawrence

My daughter and son-in-law held their winter wedding reception at Maceli’s in December, 2025. Everything about it went seamlessly from the early planning meetings with Shelby to the actual event itself. Many details were planned and nothing was missed. The rooms were easy for the guests to move about, the bar service was exceptional, the food was delicious, and the service staff did everything exactly as planned and worked well with the vendors (DJ, wedding planners, etc) and with me (MOB). I give Maceli’s the absolute highest recommendation! They made my daughter’s wedding reception vision come true in the best possible way. Thank you to Shelby and all of the Maceli’s staff for a wonderful night.

Circle S Ranch is a MUST VISIT location!! Whether you are planning a wedding, a family reunion, or just need to get away from the city and breathe in some fresh air! Mary and her crew were beyond hospitable. From day one in our wedding planning adventure to our big day, they made us feel like we were family! Their cozy Inn housed 34 of our immediate family members and wedding party, and there were still beds unused! The beautifully presented meals that this down to earth team prepared for us were absolutely delicious and well planned! We will definitely visit Circle S Ranch again! Might be our anniversary spot!

We had the honor of having our wedding at Venue 1235 on March 21st, the venue was perfect, well decorated and modern which fit our theme perfectly. We worked mostly with Hannah and she was super communicated, organized and flexible. We had the absolute best day! Thank you to all the staff that helped out

We had our wedding ceremony outside and our reception inside immediately after. The venue itself is gorgeous, which lent itself nicely our minimalist decoration preferences. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and professional, including the sales director, our day-of coordinator, the people who did the set up, the bartenders, etc. The planning meetings and facilitated rehearsal made the event itself go super smoothly with minimal stress. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely recommend!

We held our wedding reception at the Cider Gallery in September and couldn't have asked for a better day. Coco was SO helpful throughout planning, and the venue was so incredibly easy to work with not to mentions GORGEOUS! I can't imagine our wedding anywhere else!

We had only our ceremony at The Eldridge Hotel in the Crystal Ballroom. The space is beautiful and didn't require many decorations, which we loved. It also was a nice size for our 150 guests; it felt full but not too crowded. We worked with Whitney leading up to the wedding and with Katie the weekend of our wedding, and both were helpful with answering our questions and were flexible with some last-minute decisions we made. The staff was also accommodating, and we loved being able to use the hotel rooms to get ready before the ceremony. Overall, it was a great venue for our ceremony because of its history and what it offered to our out-of-town guests.

Lawrence does not have that many reception areas to accommodate more than 200 guests. Since I found Liberty Hall cost prohibitive to my budget, I turned to Spring Hill Suites, and Cindy in sales was very helpful to us. We booked the ballroom over a year in advance and I'm thankful because I believe it books quickly. We had no troubles whatsoever with this vendor and i would recommend them to anyone having a big reception who still has a budget. They allowed us to bring rental items into the ballroom to spruce it up, and our caterer worked well with them, also. The view out of the windows onto the water was a bonus, and several of our guests got air on the balcony outside. So pleasant!

They were so helpful and supportive through the whole planning process. They were very open to all my ideas and were willing to make anything work. They were AMAZING.

Whitney did a wonderful job! She was so easy to work with throughout the entire process and made sure she knew every detail of how things should go. She was great at follow up and ensuring everything was taken care the day of. The whole events department did a great job!
