Situated in the center of this historic and beautiful town, this destination combines old-world charm with modern elegance and sophistication. Near a host of exciting landmarks, the hotel is also only 45 minutes away from Boston, making this an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding areas.
Facilities and Capacity
The Hotel Salem can be found in a building that was once a department store. Since its renovation, this venue has played host to a variety of celebrations and events, with a maximum capacity of 180 people. With both indoor and outdoor spaces available, soon-to-be-weds will enjoy the options this affords. There are get-ready rooms onsite, which can be used before couples journey to the ceremony and reception sites. There are three function rooms available, which feature an industrial-chic aesthetic with exposed brick, bright colors, and contemporary touches. The hotel also has 44 guest rooms, which would be ideal for the wedding party to utilize after the festivities.

The team at The Hotel Salem will do their utmost to ensure that every event held here goes as smoothly as possible. They are well-versed in hosting everything from rehearsal dinners to the reception. Couples can meet with the dedicated event planner, who will be able to guide them through the process. Catering and bartending will be taken care of by the talented staff. There are also a variety of event rentals available, including tables, chairs, linens, and more.
History
Dating back to 1626, Salem has had a tumultuous and interesting history. As one of the oldest communities in the United States of America, it was the setting for the famous Salem Witch Trials. In addition to this, the town also has an important maritime legacy, acting as one of the busiest and most central shipping ports in the Americas. Due to its fascinating past, the town still features Colonial-era architecture and landmarks that are worth looking at.
