The Heights Mansion was such a great venue! First off the price was amazing for everything we received. A bridal suite just for me was included and rooms for my whole bridal party right off the reception/banquet hall. Basically the whole third floor was just for us. This being my second wedding, it was definitely wonderful that we could all be together. My suite on the fourth floor had two queen beds and my brides maid was able to stay with me. I have to add the private balcony overlooking Houston right off my suite was a plus!! It was great to look at that view and unwind with a glass of wine before my big day. The banquet hall was a decent size for my reception. It had a great bar for my bartender to set up all of the refreshments for my guests. All of my bridal party rooms on the third floor had such cute themes, each one named after an old school musician. It really set the mood for my classy winter wedding! The house itself was a great spot for my bridal pictures too. We took a number of them on the patio, stairwell, and by the fireplace inside this beautiful home. We set up an awning with chairs right outside the front steps and said our "I do's" right on the porch! My guest had a perfect view of us too. I'd recommend anyone looking to have your wedding, pictures, reception, and rooms for most of your guests all in one spot should check this place out! It is an older house, so be prepared for some stairs. I read something about an elevator on an old review, but no elevator was in the building. I'm assuming that guest had excepted one since it is such a huge house but I expected the stairs so it wasn't bad at all. In fact, like I said, some of my favorite pictures were on the beautiful front stair well.

BEWARE.....I rented party space on the 3rd floor for a party of approx 50 people at The Heights Mansion in July 2016. On the day of the party, we discovered the elevators were not working as vendors attempted to bring in items. Not only did my guests have to climb 3 flights of stairs, but my dj had to bring equipment up and down 3 flights, my bartender had to bring buckets of alcohol and equipment up and down 3 flights of stairs, my caterer had to bring the food and equipment 3 flights of stairs as well as the vendor that I used to rent tables. Also you need to know the air condition did not work. We were unable to utilize space that we rented in the hall as it was hot the entire time. As soon as I stepped in the door, my makeup started melting. We had to make an emergency tip to store to purchase 2 fans. People were leaving early due to the heat and no elevator. sadly I was forced to turn away disabled guest for no working elevator. The bathrooms and the venue had not been cleaned, piles of dirt and sticky floors.I had to call them several times before someone came to clean for us. My caterer informed me that the oven was not working, there were piles of furniture stacked on top in hallway. I replace 2 light bulbs above the bar, Also, we had to move the furniture we didn't need.. while transporting equipment, the outside ramp and steps was unsafe to use with rotten and missing wood pieces. After the party, I expressed my unhappiness to them and they ignored my calls. After several attempts, I finally had a conversation with them and they denied everything as if they didn't know what i was talking about. Out of all the events I have ever planned in all my 10 years of planning, this by far is my worse. Now when I am reviewing a venue, people look at me like crazy when I ask if the elevator and air condition works. Contact me for picture proof if needed.
