The Groton Inn boasts two elegant and private banquet rooms for couples to utilize on their wedding day. The property also features a beautifully landscaped courtyard adorned with a fireplace. These lovely grounds serve as wonderful spaces for hosting ceremonies, receptions, and other events. The wedding package offered by the venue accommodates up to 90 guests. The venue's Keep's Conservatory serves as a wonderful space for cocktail receptions and hors d'oeuvres. The Prescott Room offers beautiful views of Gibbet Hill and is suited for wedding receptions.

History
The Groton Inn was originally constructed in 1678. The Inn was once a meeting place for St. Paul's Masonic Lodge, which Paul Revere served as the Grand Master of. The property was purchased in 1967 by local townspeople, who gave new life to the space. In 2011, the original building was destroyed by a fire, after which it was reinvented into the boutique hotel that it is now.

A Dream Wedding
Beautiful MA Wedding Venue!
Every moment of the event is highly-organized and well-executed. There are several locations to hold your ceremony, cocktail hour in the courtyard is lovely, and the Prescott Room is a perfectly cozy space for events of 60-80 guests.
The staff is courteous and professional, the food is excellent, and the space has been well-designed for these kinds of affairs.
As live wedding entertainers, we've been to many wedding venues, and Groton Inn is one of our favorites. We can't wait to be back!
We Love the Groton Inn!
More specifically, we felt from our first meeting that we were in such good hands with Eleanor Keydel, Sales and Events Manager. She was so informative, efficient, well organized and thorough throughout the months’ long lead-up to our end of September wedding, and offered us much needed guidance and reassurance as we planned the table arrangement, decor and menus for both our Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party which were held in the Inn’s beautiful Keep’s Conservatory. Eleanor was consistently quick to respond to emailed questions and phone messages, and made it so easy scheduling face to face meetings with her despite her busy schedule and our out of town location. The warm decor and intimate feel in the Keep’s Conservatory provided the perfect backdrop for our wonderful rehearsal dinner followed by our Welcome Party. The fireplace and mantel where we displayed family photos added to the personalized feel and ambience. We have to give a special thanks to bartender extraordinaire, Kerrie, whose good humor and helpfulness went far to ensure our guests felt at ease throughout the evening. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared just as requested and beautifully presented, and though we are sorry we cannot identify them by name, there were a host of other event staff and servers present who all went out of their way so we felt special and celebrated all night long.
The Groton Inn is uniquely wonderful, and we cannot imagine a more perfect setting for what truly was the wedding weekend of our dreams.

Amazing Wedding Venue
Secondly, We worked with Eleanor on our event and could not have been more impressed. She was responsive, detailed, professional and accommodated all of our questions and requests.
We hosted our wedding at the Inn on a Saturday in July 2023. We had 87 guests and they stayed on the property in gorgeous, comfortable rooms. The bridal suite was large and luxurious with a Juliet balcony overlooking Gibbet Hill. The groom’s suite was enormous.
I wanted an intimate wedding with a laid-back, but classic garden party feel. Eleanor understood my vision and delivered! The ceremony was held on the back lawn, cocktail hour in the courtyard and reception in the Prescott Room. We took photos on the front porch and by the courtyard fireplace. Each space was BEAUTIFUL. When I asked if we could string lights across the courtyard, Eleanor went above and beyond to meet with hotel staff and outside vendors and made it happen. When I asked to do our first dance under the courtyard lights, she made that happen as well! She was amazing; exactly the type of person you want to work with when planning your big day.
The event itself was seamless. The team really knows how to run an event. The Catering/Kitchen was amazing. We had two signature cocktails and our guests told us the spicy margarita was made perfectly. We offered beef tenderloin and chicken as meals to our guests. Both were delicious and cooked perfectly. Countless guests told me it was the best wedding food and drink they have ever had, and more like upscale steakhouse food than typical wedding food. The Inn staff set up décor for us (signs, photos, candles, card boxes, etc.) and broke it down at the end of the night for us to pick up the next day.
The weather was extremely hot, humid and rainy on our wedding weekend. We lucked out and it didn't rain on our actual wedding day, but the Inn staff handled the possibility of rain professionally and calmly as it presented itself over and over again throughout the day.
We had a live acoustic/dj duo recommended by the Inn perform for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. They were amazing as well and I highly recommend them for TGI events. They fit the vibe and helped the event flow smoothly.
Our guests enjoyed the included breakfast each morning. It was delicious; again not typical hotel food. On Sunday we were able to meet up over breakfast, sit together and say goodbye to everyone who came to celebrate our wedding.
I could keep going on…The whole experience was perfect.
