About this venue
The Grand Promenade, a historic event venue, is located in the iconic Alamo Plaza Historic District in the heart of downtown San Antonio, Texas. This 10,000-square-foot event space has been carefully designed to respect the historical qualities of the building while incorporating an industrial design that turns everyday functional elements into striking design features. Features include majestic historic stone and brick walls, 13 foot industrial ceilings, a stage, hardwood floors, a comfortable lounge area and a brick bar that compliments the accent wall. The balcony, overlooking the magnificent San Antonio Riverwalk, promises a spectacular view for any celebration.
Capacity
The Grand Promenade can seat up to 300 guests. Located in the historic Alamo Quarters building, the Grand Promenade features the Main Area, the Lounge / Ceremony Area and the Balcony / Bridal Suite Area.
Facilities
Your Grand Promenade experience starts with a dramatic wooden staircase that draws your guests to a journey through our elegant and unique venue. Make it even more romantic with candles, greenery and/or flowers to give it your own personal touch.
Once inside, the Main Area includes a historic stone and brick wall, the dining area, a full-size stage, a large dance floor, and a full-service bar.
The Lounge / Ceremony Area has plenty of space for a ceremony, a lounge featuring comfortable lounge furniture, food stations, photo booths, backdrops, memorial tables, etc. and if needed, additional dinner seating.
The Balcony Area can be used as a bridal suite or an additional lounge area. Connected to this section is a private balcony with stunning views of downtown and the famous Riverwalk.
All Areas are open to one another and flow perfectly together. It is truly an exceptionally unique room that your guests will not forget.
